Rawnie Tal'verda
Tal'Verda Aliit'buir
Rawnie crouched on a rooftop, rifle trained on her target. She was watching, waiting. She couldn't kill him in the middle of a busy street. The panic and confusion that would cause would get the authorities involved. And for once, Rawnie was not in the mood to deal with them. Sure, her business here was perfectly legal (she made absolute sure she was breaking no laws by taking this job) but it was still a pain to retrieve a body once it was in the custody to law enforcement.
"Personal blog, entry number eighteen.
I've followed my target back to his home city," she said out loud, letting the recording device pick up her words, "Still recovering from Galaars birth though, so Lorane says i'm not allowed to get up close and personal with my target. He says I might rip my stitches if I'm not careful..."
She sighed.
"Pain in the shebs, but I guess he's right. Who am I to argue with my doctor?"
The target was making his way to his apartment now. Good. She could get him through his bedroom window if she took her time to line the shot up just right. She'd just have to get to the next building over so she had a clear shot. As her target disappeared inside the tall apartment building, she packed up her gear.
"I've been scoping this target out for days. Have to do it just right. The client was very specific. No witnesses. Sounds a little sketchy to me, but with the amount he's paying me, I suppose I can afford to ignore it."
She casually took a ladder down the side of the building to a lower structure. This city was so tightly packed, most of the apartment buildings were only three feet apart. One could easily jump from one to the other, but with her stitches, Rawnie had to be more careful than she had before.
"One good this about this job though," she continued, "it gets me out of the village for a bit. I've been going a little mad, cooped up in there..."
