Hoping to Join

Hi everyone, I just joined the community and I don't know anybody in this faction, but I was hoping to join up anyway if that is okay. The character I plan on kindasorta transferring from another community is a Lightsider and the GA seems like a great fit! I've had to tweak him a bunch obviously cause 90% of his bio wouldn't make sense, so I am a little flexible when it comes to adapting aspects of his life, and I just had some questions about how best to fit in.

The current concept is hes a somewhat troubled former Jedi Knight (hopefully, plan on requesting a rank transfer) and more recently ex-privateer and frigate Captain on hire for the GA. The idea being he runs cargo/passengers through conflict zones as well as serve as a small carrier for fighter squadrons possibly on special assignment. You guys seem to have a Rogue Squadron so I figure it could possibly be a niche to occupy.

Anyway, what do you guys think? Good idea? Bad idea? Back to the drawing board?

First of all, Welcome to Chaos and to our lovely little Federation!

As to your ideas, they're great! (Totally not ripping off Tony El Tigero. >.> ) The troubled Jedi aspect is what adds flavour to the traditional/ new age mix, and making him a frigate Captain works perfectly with what our Merchant Fleet is supposed to be. Updates are coming soon, but it won't affect any thing regarding your idea to be a Privateer - it'll actually give you a Letter of Marque and Reprisal to reference and throw in peoples faces. lol

So in the meantime, if you've got any questions - feel free to ask them here, and once you've got everything squared away and feel like you're ready to sail the abyssal tides - drop yourself into any of our active threads and have a blast!

And I love the idea of you wanting to be a frigate captain. Rogues have a small carrier called the Rebel's Hope that houses the squadron when out on away missions, though we really haven't used it yet with no one to PC it. Could be a possibility.

Awesome, glad to hear I'm not rocking the boat! I have a character bio I'd like to revise a little more but should probably be up tonight, and in the mean time I will try to catch up on certain threads and start plotting my conque-coming up with ways to contribute! <.<

[member="Alexandra Russo"] Ooh, that does sound interesting. I didn't want to just show up and say "hai guyz i r star destroyer captin" so I thought a frigate or corvette would be appropriate, but if I am just being redundant I'd totally be interested in commanding something more integrated into the current fleet makeup.

So I got punchy and submitted the first draft of my character bio, hooray! Assuming [member="Astarii Saren"] doesn't have a problem with me taking on something like the Rebel's Hope I can make some small edits. Please let me know what you think/mistakes I've probably made/etc if you have the opportunity. I know its a little word vomity.
