Hot tea!

[member="Taozi Fuyuan"]

Tea, stardust didnt get into liking the stuff until her later years maybe it was just cause she was getting older and getting into her older years. This brought a chuckle to stardust as she put a brew on and hummed while looking through her messages.

She had invited a friend? Maybe ally was a better thing as she personally didnt know the doc but felt she needed to with the events as they are lately. Setting outside she would wait

Taozi did not know [member="Stardust Solus Skirae"] personally, but she knew of her at the very least. All the doctor knew of her was she was close to Yasha, and was Queen of Zeltron, so when she received an invitation to visit? Well, Taozi couldn't refuse. Luckily, the Tal Fleet were heading to Zeltron when Taozi received it, and she had some "diplomacy" ready clothes on board. Dressed to the nines, with help from Feng and Ran, Taozi had ust finished getting ready when the fleet exited hyperspace over Zeltron.

Taking a small shuttle down, Taozi went to the palace, and waited until one of the workers came, guiding her to where Stardust was waiting. With a polite nod to them as they left, Taozi turned her attention to Stardust, and smiled.

"I must say, I was quite surprised to receive an invitation for tea from you."

Stardust stood as the worker arrive with taozi in tow, bowing her head to him she smiled to taozi and gave a small bow

I'm surprised you accepted, but glad nonetheless, please take a seat I'll have tea ready for us soon it's got a few minutes to brew

She said motioning to the free chair, taking a seat herself slowly as she was sore from morning training. Looking to taozi she spoke

how've things been? I hope not to stressful

Meanwhile within the kitchen her little dragons played, knocking over a bottle of vodka that popped open and poured into the open kettle...

"Tea with a Queen? Why, that'd be social suicide if I refused." Taozi laughed slightly, before humming in thought. It had been a long time since she laughed, and a thoughtful smile stretched her lips as she sat down across from [member="Stardust Solus Skirae"]. Straightening out her attire, Taozi mulled over how to answer Stardust's question. On one hand, Taanab was beginning to recover and lives returning to normal for her people, but on the other? The UCM's fall from grace, as it were. Mandalore beaten and abused by the Sith, Concord Dawn on it's way to destruction as well, and countless other worlds having lost their Mandalorian protectors... Taozi leaned back in the chair, pensive.

"Truthfully, life has not been kind..."

[member="Taozi Fuyuan"]

She laughed, hearing that before. Taking a minute to calm herself she sat back against her chair while looking over to her guest frowning at what she felt before she turned towards the city and took a deep breath sighing

yeah...I imagine for you it hasnt...truthfully hasnt been the best either...nothing happened bad just, weight of my sins on my back and the feeling of them crawling doesnt help ya know

The tea whistled, her daughter brigh grabbing it and came out quickly with Smile on her face as she sat in on the table between them

I heard it go off so I brought it out!

She said with a bright smile

"Mm... My failures at Taanab and Concord Dawn weigh on me as well... Good Mandalorians died in vain on Taanab, and I could not save the people of Concord Dawn... At least, not all of them. Those... cursed wasps of the Sith were..."

Taozi went quiet as Brigh brought out a kettle, steam rising from the spout. The doctor's eyes seemed distant, even as she smiled at the young girl. The doctor had seen many horrible acts in the past few months, and it showed, despite her best attempts to hide it. Her duties to Taanab kept her busy, distracting her from the dark thoughts that seemed to plague her mind nowadays. Distractions were welcome, but they did not leave Taozi much time to process what she had seen.

it has not been a good chapter at all...I heard about those wasps...another thing that weighs on my mind...

Shed seen a face like that before, new recruits after a horrifying battle setting there replaying all they had seen within their head. The arrival of her daughter brought her back as she smiled

thank you, head on back now if I remember your supposed to be studying

She said with a smirk as brigh giggled and bowed leaving them alone as stardust sighed

I see that look on your face taozi...to many times have I seen it...you've seen true war in its primal form

A bitter laugh escaped Taozi's lips after Brigh left. War... Her uncle always said she made a horrible Mandalorian in her youth, too obsessed with saving lives, as it were. War was ugly. It brought about the worst in people. Families get torn apart. Lives destroyed. Children orphaned, or even killed. Taozi closed her eyes quietly, to avoid looking at the steam that looked too much like wisps of smoke to her right now. War was ugly, but Life was cruel.

"I suppose I have... Though, I imagine discussions of war wasn't why you invited me here today?" A forced smile pulled Taozi's lips slightly upward, as she opened her eyes to look at [member="Stardust Solus Skirae"].

She frowned herself, looking away in thought as she sighed and then looked to her with a somber smile

partly...but also to make sure my vod is safe, to get to know what's left of the old...i heard yasha perished in the attack and kaine... by the force i can only imagine hes on a war path

Sighing she waved that topic away and sipped her tea, blinking and sipping again before shrugging

topic for another time for now weve the present

"Yasha perished, yes, but she is alive now. I made sure of it before I left Wayland... It was quite a scene to walk into, that operating room." Taozi hummed as she leaned back in her seat. The past few months had been, seemingly, non-stop attacks, drama, and death. Gingerly bringing the cup to her lips, Taozi blew on it before taking a sip. The doctor stared at the tea curiously afterwards. There was... something in it that should couldn't quite put her finger on. Perhaps it was just a special blend of tea?

"Although, I wouldn't call myself old, per say. I'm only 26." Taozi smirked at [member="Stardust Solus Skirae"] teasingly, before taking another sip of her tea.

shes alive?!?! Oh thank the force, taozi you dont understand how thankful I am to hear that news it brings a calm to my mind

She wanted to hug the lady, yet held back as this tea was hot and..had a afterburn to it? Maybe she had made some mint tea by accident either way tasted ok so she took a large sip before she laughed heartily

I'm 53 years old, I've got way to much experience under my belt that just keeps building up

"53 years young, I would say. You look good for your age." Taozi smiled at [member="Stardust Solus Skirae"] as she took another sip of her tea. She felt her body relax, even as she felt more of the tea's burn. When had her muscles become so tense? Was she really so stressed that her body couldn't relax? Taozi stared thoughtfully down at the cup in her hand.

"I had too much too soon. My uncle always said I was too soft for a Mandalorian, always fixated on saving and improving lives. Of course, he was a drunkard until I started to reform the clan so there's not much credibility to his opinions, now is there?"

heh... cybernetics and super soldier augmentation combined with age reversal...but thank you taozi, I say the same for you at 26

Another big sip, more burn, seriously what the hell did she brew? Looking at it she squinted and shrugged as she sat back and thought about a few things while listening

ya know, I think that's what's needed, yeah I may be a old mandalorian of many years but my thoughts on it were we meddles in to much at times when she shouldn't of instead of focusing at home
[member="Taozi Fuyuan"]

Taozi laughed and nodded as [member="Stardust Solus Skirae"] spoke of her augmentations. "I've done more than a few similar things to myself, to test if the drugs the researchers at my hospital create are safe for humans. My mother hates that I do, but, someone needs to do it." She shrugged, and took another sip of tea, inhaling sharply at the burn. Just what did Stardust brew? And why was her face getting warm? Taozi pulled a folding fan out from the side of her belt, and began to fan herself. "I'm not sure what you'd brewed this tea with, but I dare say it'd be nice to warm one up on a cold winter's night."

[member="Taozi Fuyuan"]

now I've never tested to see if a grenade will blow me up hahahaha. Most of mines either been because they got blow off, cut off, or subjected myself to augmentation because I wanted some motherfether deader then dead

Again she looked at her tea, then placed a hand on her side where her liver was pondering in thought before she got another drink while a cold breeze flew through the air. Setting back she looked out among the city

hmmm, is it bad I dont know either? I mean I like it but have no fething clue what the hell I brewed

"I would hope you haven't tested such things, otherwise I'd have to check you into a mental ward." Taozi smiled, despite her concerns, as she took another drink of tea. By now, a slight red tint was creeping across her cheeks, even as she continued to fan her face lightly. The breeze cooled her down some, though clearly not enough. Leaning back in her seat, a hum came from the doctor before drinking a sip more of tea. Unsure of where to take the conversation, she sat contentedly, looking out at the city.

For the first time in too many months, the doctor felt relaxed and at ease as she sat with [member="Stardust Solus Skirae"].
