Private House Bloodscrawl: The Medic

Wearing: Medical Shroud

Armed With: Ancient Fusion Pistol

Equipment: Biotech Toolkit

Objective: Check up on the Model 0 units

It was over.

Laertia Io's grand experiment had collapsed into civil war. A split that could not be reconciled between those who would continue to follow the utterly vile Cult of The Brain Demon and those who had finally wanted to strike out on their own, clinging to older ideals of the House.

Agatha herself was heartbroken...

... because she had made the discovery. The discovery that revealed her Mother's entire ideology to be built at the expense of others.

At the expense of even her own citizens, even.

Agatha, a member of the House Io resistance movement known as the Doves, whose most noted champion was Percival Io Percival Io , the Green Knight (Who had lived a ghastly life from his first activation to his final deactivation), had been fleeing from a Cult search team looking for those distributing subversive Anti-Cult propaganda. They had fled deep underground to evade them...

That was when they had found the entrance to an enclave of thousands of precursors to modern Nuetralizer designs. Cyborgs as opposed to full on Droids...

Agatha shook herself from the database memory as she walked the grasslands of the hidden planet known as Kytrand. She was headed to an old forest outpost where a village of the Droids had been set up in the dozens. Her goal was to examine them in a more natural environment with help from Mila Io Mila Io , another defector. The only one Agatha was truly close to.

Agatha's database was NOT doing well over being the one to help kickstart the Civil War. For being part of the impetus to justify it. But when nearly the entire line of Medical, Crisis, and Civic Nuetralizers break away upon learning of the Model 0, considering turning a blind eye to them a fundamental violation of the very morality statutes Laertia herself had coded into them, Agatha knew which way the wind was blowing. The Model 0 had truly been the final straw ...

It said a lot about just how evil Laertia had gotten when most of her creations turned out to be more moral and upstanding than she was even before she had fully embraced the Darkness ...

The Forest loomed, and Agatha popped a flare, so that Mila (taking an alternate method of arrival) could find her easily before they would enter the outpost together.

Mila didn't know the whole story, didn't know Agatha had been the one that had fired the metaphorical bullet into the head of House Io's unity, didn't know how to tell her just how big her role was in the mass defections to the House of Laertia's own father, Nathan Bloodscrawl Nathan Bloodscrawl .

Agatha hadn't meant for that ...

And now her future was completely uncertain because she tried to do the right thing...

There is a hole in my head.

Mila spotted the flare cutting through the canopy of Kytrand's dense forest and adjusted her path toward its source. The cool breeze tugged at her lekku, the stillness of the planet doing little to quiet the storm of thoughts swirling in her mind. She had been on the move for days, carefully navigating the labyrinth of shadows that Laertia Io's fall had cast over all of them. Yet here, deep in the wilderness of this hidden world, there the one person she still confided in.

She arrived to find Agatha standing near the edge of the treeline, her synthetic features caught in the amber glow of the flare. There was something heavy in her posture—an unspoken weight Mila had seen far too often since the collapse of House Io.

"Agatha," Mila began softly, stepping into the clearing. Her voice was careful, yet firm, like a chord struck in a minor key. "I got your signal. So far, I prefer this place…far more than our last location.”

She would give the woman time to reply as she neared, having taken comfort in the other woman’s presence. Mila's violet gaze narrowed as she approached, the forest canopy casting dappled shadows across her pale lavender skin. She had learned to read the small tells of hesitation, even from someone as composed as Agatha. She contemplated the situation she and Agatha had been in, the claim that she was in fact another woman, her memory modified…it was quite a lot to understand. Though that wasn’t what she desired to speak with the woman on.

"So, what’s going on?" Mila asked, her voice sharpening ever so slightly. "You're holding something back. You've been on edge since we started working together."

There was no accusation in her tone, only concern. They had been through too much—lost too much—for Mila to demand answers without empathy. She knew Agatha was struggling. They all were.

Mila glanced toward the forest, where the outpost lay hidden like a secret waiting to be unearthed. "We are together in this, you know," She added, softer now. "Whatever happens, whatever you're feeling... I'm here. Just….whenever you’re ready, I’m here."

Her lekku twitched slightly as she tilted her head, studying Agatha with an intensity that was both disarming and resolute. "Regardless, I’m just happy to be by your side, as ever."

And then, Mila offered the smallest of smiles—fragile but genuine. "Let's go find those droids and figure out what comes next... together."
She slowly offered a hand in kind, hoping it would be taken.

Agatha had given her a great deal of comfort after she had awoken. She hoped she could return the favor.
