  • Description: A Private Army and Intelligence Network doubling as a genuine family, House Io was formed near the end of the Third Imperial Civil War through Laertia Io's brutal battles and scavenging valuable war material to form two separate companies that would serve as the financial bedrock for stability, stealing both valuable tech, weapons and scientists from the collapsing Sith Empire and even having been rumored to have stolen Prototype Starships from them

  • Hierarchy:
MATRIARCH: Laertia Io is the Head of House Io, and is responsible for how it's Warrior Ethos is codified and spread throughout any territory House Io controls. Laertia has set up a cross between an Oligarchy and Sortition-based Democracy as the general form of government, controlling most military and technological affairs, while the Civilian populace is randomly selected via lottery to select positions in House Io based on relevant skills and the category they were selected for to oversee all other affairs. A vote from Laertia on what course to take is worth seven votes

ADVISOR: These have the ear of the Black Knight herself, the equivalent of a presidential cabinet in other governments. They bring the concerns of the Sub-Primarchs and lower tiers. A vote from them counts as six votes

SUB PRIMARCH: The upper tiers of leadership, overseeing Multiple operations or directly enforcing the House's will. Where all top generals and operatives are found

Tier 1: Consists of Laertia's closest family, and oversee the most sensitive operations and affairs of governance. Votes from these members count as four votes

Tier 2: These oversee Medium Importance operations and affairs of state. Votes from these members count as three votes

Tier 3: Contains all officials selected by the populace to oversee all general domestic affairs such as Lawmaking, Economics, and Diplomacy. Laws passed by these officials cannot be overridden by the upper tiers or Laertia. A vote from them counts as five votes, due to their duty to represent the interests of the populace at Large and to challenge the authority of the upper tiers for especially sensitive matters

FAMILY CAPTAIN: The officers overseeing general combat and espionage operations in the field. Consists of minor or limited production Nuetralizer Models. They automatically outrank citizen soldiers and get two votes in decisions

CITIZEN-SOLDIER: The general populace, consisting of refugees, intelligent soldier droids, genetically engineered soldiers and Gynoids. They are the life blood of House Io, and can ascend all the way up to the rank of advisor. All Citizens are members of the house and thus part of the Oligarchy themselves, getting one vote. All Citizens are warriors allowed to own lethal Weaponry at all times, including Disruptors, in any territory they control
  • Membership: One can become a member of House Io simply by being born to it, or requesting the chance to join. Those who request are put through basic combat training for a few weeks before being subjected to trial by combat, where they must last at least thirty seconds against a a Family Captain of the House in hand to hand. A Model 1 Nuetralizer often administers this test. Both Droid and organics are welcome to apply, but failed tests mean the applicant must wait two weeks before being allowed to retake the trial. Applicants are allowed to fail up to seven times before Membership Application is declared failed, and the applicant, while they might be accepted as an ally, cannot become a full member of House Io
  • Climate: Fashions a constant climate of familial relationship. All Citizens are encouraged to fight alongside and defend any other citizen as though they were blood relatives. Every citizen is taught to think for themselves and innovate as necessary to survive. Especially meritorious citizens will receive seven blanket pardons for offenses that might otherwise merit the Death Penalty under House Rules (Exceptions to the Seven Pardon Rule include trying to overthrow House Io, abuse against the elderly and children, and any action that compromises the security of Khemost
  • Reputation: House Io is enemies with multiple major factions such as the NIO, GA, and SJC, the Bryn'adul, AND The Brotherhood of the Maw due to its founder having repeatedly, violently opposed them throughout the third Imperial civil war and other conflicts, other factions may be afraid of them due to their leader's infamous brutality and the dreaded soldier droids she controls. Like minded minor factions opposed to their enemies will find easy and willing allies with House Io

  • Rules:
  • 1: All members of House Io are warriors. They must know how and be able to fight and kill at all times (Exceptions made for the injured and disabled).
  • 2: All House Io warriors must fight as savagely against their enemies as possible if they refuse to surrender.
  • 3: Do not harm, steal from, or kill other members. (Killing another member for no reason is a death penalty grade offense)
  • 4: All members are family. Fight alongside even citizens you only met an hour ago as if they were blood relatives.
  • 5: Show bravery at all times. Retreat only if necessary.
  • 6: Rank Cowardice can be cleansed only with blood.
  • 7: When possible, show mercy.
  • 8: No member of House Io, not even the Matriarch, is allowed to act like a tyrant to those beneath them.
  • 9: Members of House Io are stewards to any territory they control. They are to deal fairly with any who inhabit said Territory
  • 10: War is Cruelty. There is no use in trying to reform it. The crueler it is, the sooner it's over.
  • 11: Total War is often preferable to half measures against particularly vicious enemies.
  • 12: Never concede to the Jedi or Essonian on anything to do with the Force.
  • 13: Kill any Sith that makes the mistake of fighting you unless there is a good reason not to or they surrender.
  • 14: You shall not treat Artificially created people any different than you would normally created people, whether they are a citizen of the house or not
  • Goals: House Io desires to eradicate both the Bryn'adul and the Maw, build up their power and influence to enable them to compete with and oppose the Major Factions on their own terms, spread the warrior culture of the House to as many territories as they can, and oppose any future threat to galactic society

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

House Io was truly formed in the fires of the Third Imperial Civil War. Founded by Laertia Io, who turned her back on and later totally betrayed the Jedi Order over an irreconcilable disagreement over which was the greater threat: The Bryn'adul or The crumbling Sith Empire, hammered relentlessly by the NIO. Outraged that the Jedi Order left billions to die at the hands of the Bryn'adul rather than declare a truce with the Sith to stop them completely. Laertia caused massive casualties for the NIO, GA, SJC, NJO, The Bryn'adul, and The Maw, which got her branded as an intergalactic terrorist, especially since she destroyed Gihinnom, murdering it's entire population through energy Torpedo Bombardment rather than allow Gihinnom to escape, which led to the deaths of thousands of allied personnel in the CIS. House Io is treated as a dangerous renegade organization, filled with people perceived by the major factions like the GA as having been brainwashed by Xiphos, when the truth is actually far more horrifying: they needed no brainwashing, as nearly all organics in service to the house today are enraged survivors and refugees of the Bryn'adul and Maw massacres, bent on revenge not only against them, but against the Jedi Order that they feel left them to die to settle their feud with the Sith, and, in their minds, they have sided with the only person willing to go through anything, smash through anyone, in order to obtain concrete success, an opinion that didn't lower one bit after Gihinnom, many of the refugees sneering openly at the losses the CIS suffered because of Laertia's decision, as they viewed the Confederacy First Policy as a major factor that allowed the GA and NIO's policies to move unopposed, thus allowing the Bryn'adul to slaughter their families better. Laertia did nothing to stoke this sentiment, choosing to let it fester and spread passively, until the people of their own free will concluded that any who stand in the way of their revenge or their new way of life deserve to die, the same as their real enemies.

This is a super neat sub and the sheer amount of threads containing the lore building up to it is awesome! Everything looks ready to go except one link is broken, that being for Club Euphoria.
