HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Historical records show that House Sabosen was one of the Ruling Families that helped to established the Chiss Ascendancy in the year 5000 BBY. Prior to that, not much is known concretely about the Sabosen family; being only a few stories shared between generations have survived time of a powerful clan of blue-skinned, red-eyed near-humans who settled in the Unknown Regions in what is called Chiss space on the planet of Sposia. Tales say they were mainly known to be doctors, lawyers, and scholars.
When the Gulag Plague had racked the galaxy as a whole by 826 ABY, not even the Chiss were saved by their isolationist policies. Many Ruling Houses were still decimated in numbers despite the skilled doctors and efforts of House Sabosen to treat the virus and find a possible cure; the Sabosen family not withstanding. They suffered as well being on the front lines fighting this insidious plague. The Chiss though due to their healthy and fit states in general terms faired better than the rest of the galaxy at large.
It was a time for rebuilding in the Chiss Ascendancy for as the plague dissipated many Ruling Houses faced even more trials and tribulations. Internal conflict was one factor in the rise and fall of Ruling Families during this period along with the Netherworld event and another Killik incursion in the far eastern colonies of the Chiss Ascendancy making Joiners of many Chiss. The Sabosen family seemed resilient and remained one of the major Ruling Houses throughout these dark times, also known as the Vagaari Cold War.
In more recent times, a tyrannical faction known as the Iron Empire took over Chiss Space during a weak moment in Chiss leadership. They put forth in strong terms that the Chiss Ascendancy must become a vassal state of their empire. Not all Ruling Houses accepted this demand. The Sabosen family firmly resisted this notion as it did not follow the ideals of the Red Flame nor the Constitution. The Ruling House was therefore demoted to a minor status and striped of their governance of Sposia after the Ascendancy did in fact become a vassal state of said Empire. House Qell, which was eager to rise in power and was a rival of the Sabosens, supplanted the House taking over their societal role in the Chiss Ascendancy.
The reign of the Iron Empire though did not last for long. In the demise of one empire, another tyrannical one took advantage. The Jen'ari Empire moved in to rule over Chiss Space. The four major Ruling Families of the time, Lorr, Quylen, Ras, and Qell, subsequently became puppets of the Jen'ari Sith. The remaining Ruling Houses said enough was enough. They wanted their independence from Outsider factions once and for all and foremost sovereignty over themselves. A silent coup began to form behind the scenes from those loyal to the foundations of the Chiss Ascendancy.
The Chiss Civil War was planned and executed with earnest lead by the upcoming Chiss leader, Vice Admiral Mitth'orn'eruod, with the help of the Sith Empire and Confederacy of Independent States as they both wanted to see the Sith heretics in their eyes destroyed for their own well being. The Jen'ari were defeated and forced to vacate Chiss space. The four traitorous Chiss Ruling Houses Lorr, Quylen, Ras, and Qell, were punished per the Constitutional requirements of the Chiss Ascendancy and henceforth lost all holdings and power. Emperor Carnifex and other Sith Empire representatives were present during the trial held at the House Palace in Csaplar, Csilla, as were prominent members of the Sabosen family. This was a new day for the Chiss Ascendancy. The Red Flame would burn bright and ever glowing once again amongst the People.
Today, the Sabosen family is once again a powerful major Ruling House responsible for maintaining order in the Chiss Ascendancy as well as keeping the people healthy, educated, and safe.
