HISTORICAL INFORMATION
House Verd traces its ancestry back to the days of the True Mandalorians' clash with Death Watch. Whilst few details exist of the exact circumstances, a small number of Clan Vizsla's members defected to the side of the True Mandalorians. This group shed their ancestral name and adopted Verd - warrior - from thenceforth. Following the founding, Clan Verd existed quietly within the annals of Mandalorian history.
It was not until the end of the Four Hundred Year Darkness that Clan Verd rose to some repute. They became known for conducting "suicide missions" - braving the recovering Galaxy for intel and supplies. As time moved ever forward, the Clan's service to Mandalore would ramp up under the leadership of Isley Verd. From contributing the proceeds of its Galaxy-spanning corporation, to consistent suport of the reigning Mand'alors - whatever the Homeworld required, Clan Verd was eager to provide.
When the Mand'alor Azrael disappeared, Mandalore broke with tradition and ruled itself via the Alor'e Council. Whilst Clan Verd did not agree with this notion, it supported the collective will of its peers. That is, until Arasuum (stagnation) seeped into the bones of the people. Worse still, the Netherworld Crisis reduced the sprawling territory of the Clans to nothing overnight. The Council did nothing to reclaim their lost people. Nothing to dispel the Stagnation. Thus, Clan Verd had to act.
They met together with like-minded Clans, such as the Akaata, Brokarra, and Carrick, and formed House Verd in earned. Then, hearkening back to their ancestral roots, the House organized the Mandalorian Crusaders with one goal in mind: Reclaim the lost peoples of Mandalore. As the Crusaders undertook this mission, the Council continued to do nothing. Arasuum mired the people so soundly, that Isley again had to act. He stepped forward to invigorate them once again - claiming the title of Mand'alor the Reclaimer. He constitued the first, Mandalorian Empire and chose Echoy'la as the seat of its oerations. The Empire continued in its solitary goal to reclaim the lost peoples - but the Council was now threatened by its successes. To this end, they chose not to stand with Isley and the cause of reclaiming their lost people. But rather appointed their own Mand'alor in retaliation: Ra Vizsla. The Council promptly declared Isley as a pretender, whilst the Empire considered him to be Sole Ruler. Civil War seemed to be a certainty.
Despite this, Isley and Ra met upon Dathomir in the hopes of preventing this outcome. Regardless of the Council, both men wanted the same things. They wanted the restoration and success of their people. They wanted a return to tradition. Isley had never taken the mantle for his own glory - and thus abdicated to Ra. Isley was named Warmaster of the now-reunited Clans and a unified Crusade was launhed into the Core Worlds. From then forward, until the Cataclysm of Mandalore, House Verd continued its faithful service.
After the Cataclysm, where fire swept over the whole of Mandalore, the atmosphere of the Clans shifted. A large number began to vocally hate Force Sensitives - especially as it was Sensitives who had caused the Cataclysm. In time, Ra returned to promenance and was the spearhead of this mindset. A civll war soon broke out, one which solidified those who hated the Force as masters of Mandalore. They soon devised a "Cure" for Force sensitivity and gave the people a choice: be cured or be exiled.
For House Verd, to have a history of faithful service cast aside solely due to the circumstances of their birth was enough. Exile was chosen and their midst returned to their secondary stronghold on Krant. Whilst their Alor created the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the House did enter a quiet era. One where its members took up roles within the nation or worked in peace abroad. In the present era, however, the House has shaken the Arasuum from its bones. The quite was to be no more - and the Rule of Iron would lead the way into the morrow.

- Description: House Verd of Mandalore was one of the largest families native to Manda'yaim. Following the Civil War, and subsequent founding of the Second Mandalorian Empire, the House's Choice to enter exile was a staunch rebuke of the Death Watch's leadership. Choosing an exodus over "curing" their Force sensitivity also resulted in an identity shift - one where the House's loyalties would no longer rest within the frequently incapable hands of a Sole Ruler. In present day, the House exists as a multi-talented entitity with ventures in mercenary services, starship construction, and much more!
- Headquarters: Netra'yaim, Krant
- Domain: Krant System | House Verd largely shares a benefactor relationship with Krant and its surrounding system. While the family does not rule over the planet directly as monarchs, they do represent the system's interests inside the local government. The House has taken up a role of defender and provider for the natives, offering work at their facilities, training, and a wide variety of other benefits.

- Hierarchy: Much akin to most Houses and Clans of Mandalorian descent, House Verd is headed by its Alor (Clan Father). Following this, the Heir of the House is known as Warmaster and acts as the family's second-in-command. Beyond this, leadership by experience is the norm, with the most skilled becoming known as Alor'ad (Lieutenant). Moreover, Clan Branches of the House are largerly sovereign in how their internal hierarchy is structured.
.. - Membership: Despite their departure from Mandalorian space, House Verd boasts a thriving member base - especially where direct children of the Alor is concerned. The family has built a mighty presence within the Southern Systems, the size of which has been compared to a Sector Army. For individuals to join the House, one must adopt the Rule of Iron philosophy and demonstrate a valuable skillset. Similarly, Clans or Organizations may treatise with Verd leadership directly to secure a place within the House.
.. - Climate: Following the Civil War and rise of the Mandalorian Empire, House Verd was met with a discriminatory reality. Due to having a largely Force Sensitive lineage, their midst would always be loathed to some extent by the Sole Ruler. Due to this, the House and its Clans formed a tight-knit atmosphere internally - fully recognizing the us versus them nature of their circumstances. In present day, the House is defined by a collaborative spirit, where working as one towards goals is valued above subjugating its members.
.. - Reputation: Mixed | Having clashed with members of the Mandalorian Empire and its successor state, House Verd is seen as an enemy by many of the defunct nation's members. Similarly, the House views this regime and its members as directly responsible for the destruction of Mandalore by the Sith Empire. Feuds aside, the House's reputation becomes increasingly positive the closer one is in relation to the Southern Systems.
.. - Curios: The Clan Insignia is typically worn on one's armor.
.. - Rules: The exists as the principle philosophy within House Verd. It is a departure from the traditional Resol'nare - "for Mandalore had departured from us." The tenets are derived from the schools of thought which defined the reigning Alor's life. Namely, the aforementioned Six Actions and the Rule of One.
"Master the One and All surrounding it. Defend, Nurture, and Expand. Bow to Nothing."
In this context, the One is one's self and all an individual considers to be a logical extension of said self. Family. Loved Ones. Comrades. A Nation. All can be considered the One.
Thus, a member is expected to master themselves, empower those they consider extension to master themselves, and to master their surroundings - whether this be by assimilating language, amassing resources, etc. A member is expected to defend themselves and their extensions. Provide for them. And is tasked with expanding the Rule of Iron to others.
Blind submission, such as the Clans to a Mand'alor, or subjects to an Emperor, is to never occur again.
.. - Goals: The adherence to and expansion of the Rule of Iron. Providing a haven to those scorned by the failures of Mandalore. Promotion of the mindset: "the Force is a Tool."
