How 2 Faction?

Alcam Telrin

You just can't find any gentlemen anymore.
I recently created the Federation of Free Alliances in the hope of creating my own faction. It is a light side faction, and here's it's properties.

AHEM,

The Federation,I believe anyway, offers a unique RP experience. As,unlike the Republic(s),we rely even MORE upon votes, with the Chancellor mainly just putting out ideas, and the others voting on them. For example, let's say I were to state, "I say we go to war with the First Order" then the whole of the Federation would vote on it,and whichever side had the most votes would win.

Our military is different in that,at the moment,we don't have a Spec Ops division,we just have the Navy,Marines, and Army. The Spec Ops groups are made by players. Our battalions are made by players as well.

Now,although I do denounce them in my faction's bio,we are not arch enemies with the Sith. We only attack after action has been taken against us.

Also, leaders for the planets are elected,so that the Chancellor doesn't manage everyone, and these leaders can choose their planet's government. So that they can be truly Free planets. As well, the leaders of the planets don't always have to be NPCs,they can be PCs elected by the whole of the Federation. So y'know, that makes us different.

THIS was my advertisement, and is the best description of my faction I can give. Can someone please give me some feedback and tell me how to improve? I really want to see this faction take off.

If I was you, and I practically am as another new player. I'd join a faction first and learn how things work through them before setting out on your own. I've been made welcome in the First Order and am quickly grasping how best to bring order to the galaxy in a swift and efficient manner. It'd probably really help you feel involved if you did the same, or joined a light side faction to get experience that way.

This still sounds akin to the Galactic Alliance or Galactic Republic.
If you want a democracy, join them.
If you want military RP, join the Commonwealth or First Order.

There isn't a demand for these type of factions right now due to the population of them. Heck, we just got the New Republic V2. I'm not saying don't do it, I'm just saying because of how spread out the players are with so many of these copy factions its gonna be a bad time getting it off the ground.

You kinda make allies and friends before starting a Faction. People to create new Characters to have backgrounds in the faction and such. After you do that then stating a faction is easy. You just gata get a baseline for what kind of members you want to get in your ranks.
