Private How Did I Get Here?

Awaking in a jail wasn't a usual happenstance for the Sith. Yet, Alina still did. Her yellow eyes opened as she glanced about her cell. Her weapons, armor, both gone. A frown formed as she forced herself to sit up, holding the side of her head. There was something there, almost. Something.. Blocking? Her hand slid back, touching a device around her neck. A dampener. So they knew enough that she could use the Force.

They were prepared. Maybe not for her. Another heavy groan escaped as she leaned back against the wall. Whoever these people were, they certainly didn't know just what they'd gotten. Or she'd of been killed.

Well.

She got up, stretching her arms overhead before stepping over to the energy door, glancing it over. No access from the inside. Not yet at least. "Let's see just how hard these walls are.."

Ala had been awake for sometime, staring at the ceiling. No one had been by with food, water or even a bit of reading material. To say it was getting a bit boring. Admittedly, being bored was the least of Ala's problems. After all, she was in a cell. She didn't know where this cell was. She did not know who had imprisoned her here. She did not even know which planet she was on, or if it was even a planet. Then there was this damned collar. It chaffed something serious, and was definitely not in keeping with how she had dressed for the day.

Was it even the same day? She had only been concious for an hour, and had only the vaguest recollection of what she was doing prior to being brought here. Her investigation for Force healing techniques was clearly not going as intended.

There was some stirring from the cell on the opposite side of the corridor which piqued her interest. With a bit of effort she was able to prop herself up and look across the brightly lit, stark white of the hallway to the cell across the way. She instinctively went to stand up, but found her legs unresponsive, sending her on a perilous trajectory for the ground before she caught herself from falling off the repulsor bed.

Recovering a little dignity, and her balance, Ala squinted to see a woman with a similar collar doing some stretches. The declared intent to test the walls thickness, seemed little absurd. Unless she was...was she like super strong or something?

"What are you going to do? Punch the wall for a thousand years or something?"

Alina didn't answer the voice at first. Instead, she swung her arm around. There was a dull thud as her first collided with the metal. Pain shot up her arm. But instead of a hiss of anger or another usual response to pain, she just looked surprised. The dampener. Her eyes narrowed as she pulled back her bloodied knuckles. At least they were already healing.

But she couldn't manipulate the flow of Anima in her body. Not with that damn collar.

The glowing yellow eyes finally flicked over to Ala, watching the woman for a moment. Another prisoner, for sure. But a similar collar? Another Force User?

"I was planning on walking out of here, but I guess I'll have to put more thought into it. Do you know where we are by chance? I'm not much of a fan of being stuck in a building like this." Well, no one was, but that didn't much matter for Alina's reasoning. The Sith crossed her arms over her chest. Already her hand had fully healed, so she wasn't too drained of Anima. Yet.

"Oh, I'm Alina."

"Nope. I just woke up..."

Ala's head tilted to watch through the two force field cell doors between them as the woman's hand healed itself. A slight pang of jealousy flitted through her mind as she though about her own predicament. That would surely be nice. But her insistence on hitting the wall didn't seem like a very Jedi thing to do, and she assumed that Alina was a Force User. The collar and all. Her suspicions were that she might be a dark sider, or at least a grey straddler. Neither had overtly powerful healing techniques, and light siders and grey were given to willing self-harm. Dark sider seemed to be it.

She was elven too. Ala wondered if that might grant some level of kinship given her own appearance, but considering she had deduced the woman to be dark side in orientation...kinship was likely off the books.

There was a noticeable lack of name offered by Ala. To be fair, she had been free with this information in the past when meeting people like Alina and it had lead to some issues. Trust needed to be earned.

"...good to meet you Alina. I am sure that someone will be by soon. We can ask them questions. What do you remember before you got here? I'm still a little vague on it myself."

A similar case as her, then. Did they both get picked up at the same time, then? Alina let out a sigh as she plopped down on the ground, legs crossed. She certainly didn't judge Ala for not giving a name. Alina probably shouldn't have, but she certainly wasn't as caring as the other seemed to be about dropping a name. Maybe the confidence came with the ability to heal so easily.

"Not too much. Entering a.. Bar I think? Maybe. There was certainly a drink or two that I can remember, but that could come from all sorts oh things." She let out an annoyed sigh, glancing about the room curiously. "They know we can use the Force, so it's not random. Slavers wouldn't take a risk with us, not without some serious cash behind it. Could just be a fighting ring, which is more likely in my opinion."

With Alina spitting out options, Ala just lent back on her elbows and pondered their situation. She wasn't sure if any of Alina's ideas held more merit than others, and she knew she certainly wasn't in a bar to get a drink. That was not her idea of fun, not in the least. Besides, floating in on a hover chair didn't exactly sound exciting to the young Jedi. In spite of Ala not having been in a bar, there was no reason that she an dAlina had not come from different locations. She was just about to open her mouth in reply when she heard something.

Footsteps.

Perking up, Ala lifted herself into an awkward sitting position, grabbing her legs about her knees as counter weights to keep her upright. "Hello!"

With her word of greeting, a single individual walked into view between their cells. Dressed head to toe in pure white labratory styled scrubs, with a white helmet and face covering obscuring their face, Ala could only lift her eyesbrows in surprise. "Hi there. My friend and I are wanting to know what we are doing here...and who gave you permission to put us here?" She said, forcing any potential agitation out of her tone.

"Subjects Ala Quin and Alina Tremiru have awoken. Move to the second phase of the experiment," came a voice over the com system. It was unknown if it was the figure before them that was speaking.

"Wait...what?"

Alina tilted her head at the sound of footsteps. Though, it seemed Ala was far more eager to speak up than the Sith was at the moment. Instead, she just studied the figure in front of her. No, this wasn't good. That didn't look like a guard for a fight ring. Sure enough, when they used her name and spoke the Sith jumped right up, stepping over to the energy door to glare at the masked figure.

"You know my name, so you know what you're in for. Let us go now, or I'll kill everyone here." She went right to threats. Truthfully, because she was frightened. They took away the core of her abilities. Brought her back to a time when she felt weak and helpless. All to experiment on her? No different than what her mother used to do.

Still, she kept her face devoid of such emotions. Her eyes just narrowed, focused on the masked figure.

Who only walked away.

The Sith clenched a fist, watching the figure leave.

"What the hell is going on."

If she had deduced Alina was a dark sider, the woman's words left no doubt. As the individual in the hallway went out of view, Ala called out, "I am not going to hurt anyone...so maybe just let me out on good behaviour?"

Bringing her focus back to Alina, Ala tilted her head slightly. Having no access to the Force like normal was like having a second disability, and it felt frustrating that she could not properly gauge where Alina was heading. She would have to continue to rely on physical and verbal cues in order to predict what could happen next.

"Your first time in a lab holding cell?" Ala said with a light frivolity in her tone. She had been here before. It was horrible. But she had survived, and become stronger. It was not something she volunteered for mind you, but experience had taught there that there were opportunities for growth and change.

From the end of the corridor, Ala head a door open and close. The footsteps had disappeared. The lab tech was gone.

And the...the force fields holding them in their cells deactivated.

"Oh...that's unexpected..."
