How do I get rid of a character?

I'd like to know how'd I get rid of a character forever, eliminating all traces of it?
I have 2 unused characters that bother me when I go and select characters.

Deletion of characters, (and by extension all of their threads and posts,) was causing problems for Administration and the servers once upon a time. So they don't do that anymore.

However. You are free to reuse those character slots for a new character. You will not lose your post count either. Enjoy.

They no longer merge accounts into the writer account. Posts stay because they are attached to the main.

Just rename the character accounts.
