How do you Kill a Starweird?!

I have no idea why this is considered the scariest - Leviathans literally absorb your soul out of your body, and Terentateks are practically bred to eat force users.

Anyways, a Jedi master canonically killed it in some way, so I would assume any feasible weapon would work - its the telepathic powers it has that make it dangerous.

Since starweirds only appear in the vacuum of space, you'd need to have a weapon that functioned in the vacuum of space.

Force attacks hit normally. So lightning, telekinesis, Light, etc, are effective. There's a chance to ignore anything corperal (lightsaber, lightning gun, etc.) weapons. Not sure how a force-imbuned blade would work, though.

I would think energy based weapons might have an effect. (Lightsabers, blasters, lightning rifles). I could be wrong though.

See, that's where this gets weird. A telepathic avatar, or a Space wraith, would be hit normally. But not a starwierd. For some reason, they only seem to be hit with the Force. Almost like Force ghosts......

They are strange creatures and on other boards I have seen them attacked best with ionic disruptors.

They are also some of the more fun to have as yes they appear in deep space but they then can manifest in the ships to attack people so have some fun and get that data like the contract needs.

They are incorporeal, which means they are not made out of physical matter. meaning a Plasma weapon such as a Very high powered blaster or a sonic rifle would work, but at very low increments. What would work best would be force powers. because you are using the force, and not a physical attack.

Scientifically, that would make the most sense...

The alternative is possibly freezing or forcibly solidifying the creature, and then superheating the solidified/frozen area.

The source that created them is an RPG sourcebook that depicts their incorporeality as a 50% chance to ignore damage from all weapons (doesn't apply to the Force), plus various other defensive bonuses. Basically, you can killit with anything, it just takes a lotta killin.

Elegant and depraved.
I was on a board where the Starwierd invaded the galaxy as a force and seized control. In the threads where they would intrude or appear, they were mostly killed through uses of the Force or, if an rpj allowed it, were killed via physical means. Them being incorporeal is what makes them difficult enemies, so it'd take a moment where they'd be forced to become solid to kill them. Its moreso a game of patience and strategy than random or brute attacks.

Ionic disruptors were also effective. Forgot why.

Disruptors superheat and solidify, then dissipate, molecules. In theory, an airborne contagion could actually be vaporized, if the moving group of bacteria was numerous enough.

I don't know about Force-Imbued weapons, but a Sith Sword is a surefire hit since it's a miniature nexus. I would imagine Force-Imbued items might also be able to hit the incorporeal.
