How to look more Star Wars-y?

So as I've mentioned once or twice around here before, a friend and I are making a Star Wars fan film. We'd like it to look as nice as possible for putting in the work we have, and one of the elements we don't have much experience in is how to get ourselves looking a bit more like we belong in Star Wars without just tossing on some Jedi robes (especially since I don't have those.) So, what kinds of things around the house do you think we could use to look a bit more "in a galaxy far far away..."?

(Oh and on a side note if anyone knows how to make a shot look more like its on the bridge of ship (star destroyers, etc) that would be extremely helpful as well.)

Leather jackets for smugglers. Modified suits for imperials. And even just taking an airsoft gun, and then adding "exotic" stuff to it can make it look like a blaster. I mean, old WWII pistols and guns were modified to be used as weapons in the OG starwars
