How to tag someone in a post

Hello I just wonder if someone could help me with something, I been told by someone that you need to tag people in a post by write down they full name but each time i try to do it the way they told me It just won`t work some reason.
So could someone help me with how to do it.

Put the @ sign before their name.

No space.

The other way to do it (in the event that those don't work, as they sometimes don't) is to use this format:

[member="charactername"]

That way ALWAYS works.

I've found it doesn't always work, it works 90 odd percent of the time at least

Nope, I did it with my alts, I tested it with a load of my alts and got nothing from them soooo

I just think the entire mention system is temperamental but it works 90 percent of the time so idek

[member="Kei Garnik"] Yeah, it's never been 100%, but I find it's usually fine. Then again, the system's full of little bugs that I've found - like using proper coding tags for italics when typing in Word or some such - you need to preview the post twice before the board converts them into proper italics. Number of times I've accidentally posted something and it left out half of my post because it ignored the italics...

Buggy, but good all the same
