He had read the article; A terrible storm had ravaged Needan. It was the Nutaaq Snowstorm, and it was met by a huge amount of aid from the First Order.
That couldn't be permitted. The First Order propaganda campaigns were having a field day. Therefore, The King decided to gather men from The Elysium Empire to help the victims. The humanitarian aid would force The First Order to either stop their propaganda, or include The Elysium Empire in it. Furthermore, the victims would see that there was another major power out in the galaxy that would help them. Another consequence, The Elysium Empire could launch their own news campaign, showing that no planet is too far to be supported. Finally, it was a chance for The Elysium Empire to prove that, despite being a minor faction, with no territory, and a small military, they could provide just as much, if not more aid than the First Order.....or any other major name in the galaxy.
Thus, here he was. The king of the Empire was here, with citizens affected by a terrible storm. If that didn't speak volumes for how much he cares about the galaxy, what would? He had invited

It would be a terrible move on their part. No matter what, there would be news from The Elysium Empire, pointing out everything, from the effort the Empire was putting into this recovery, to how the King himself was present, and The First Order's leader was not.
