Humans vs Cyborgs

It depends entirely on the kind of cybernetics you get and what they're replacing. The universal perk of being a cyborg is that your inherent physical features can be augmented, because any machine can be upgraded. The universal downside is that anything that screws with a machine - ion charges, EMP, lack of power, rust, time without maintenance - will affect you, in addition to what affects normal humans.

Otherwise it's a case by case thing. A cybernetic arm might be stronger, or have other features like an integrated datapad, but both of those have their own drawbacks (power requirements and being hacked, specifically).

Completely circumstantial, as highlighted above.

Lost 3/4ths of your body? You now have that 3/4ths back, and physically more powerful than before. Downside? Goodbye any use of the force beyond most of the baseline abilities such as telekinesis or mental abilities.

Feel like swapping out an arm or two, and you happen to be an aspiring Sith Lord? Woo. Physical powa. Too bad you can't really use force lightning without totaling yourself.

Please actually read the article you're taking an image from, rather than just adding it out of context. In addition to being poorly sourced, that Force power is not lightning, but kinetite, a power with less than five actual literary sources, many of which conflict with each other.

Vader can't use lightning, because cybernetics. That is not lightning. It is kinetite, used with the Kaiburr crystal, and might even be a function of his suit.

Cybernetics prevent the use of lightning.

So all it does is give you whatever physical enhancement it has and then severs your connection to the force?

But it only severs it based on the amount you have. So if I had a cybernetic eye, along with some extra wiring in my head and facial region, I could still use force lighting just now as... well?

[member="Jack Ross"] it's almost endless. You can be turned sith spawn, body parts altered to give off an effect.

I'm planning my self to alter a part of my chars body to have tendrils that alter into different weapons, and when I'm not using it for that effect it looks normal.

Now my next question regarding alchemy, could you take someone and give them the connection to the force? It's actually a concept I've never looked into in the lore.

Alchemy is one of those things written in super old comics that 1) are no longer canon and 2) is not really fleshed out. Super important information there. It is essentially Sith magic for manipulating things into other things. Traditionally exactly what alchemy is. However, the reality is we do not fully know the extent to which that can be used. What we do know is it can manipulate life in some ways. There were creatures that were made from it. However, it is not like they were genetically made from nothing, they were something before which was altered into something new. Once again, just like the stories of alchemy you see in other stories and mythos.

If you want to get into awesome canon stuff that has to do with cybernetics look into the newer Darth Vader comics. There is actually a group of individuals which Palpatine was commissioning their training to potentially replace Darth Vader which are all enhanced via cybernetics. They also offer variety in what their enhancements bring to the table. There are two siblings who essentially can do most things a Jedi can. There is a former general who has enhancements which allows them to utilize various probe droids and whatnot as extensions of their body. And a few others. It is pretty cool. The advantage of this also is that 1) you'll be working within the realms of canon but 2) it is also an area that is less hazy and more easily understood.
