Hunt for the ancients

Felran loved going to the old pawn shops of Coruscant. He got lucky once, finding the Sith robes of his ancestor. But they sadly escaped his grasp as some big shot came a bought them. He was still pissed about that. As he entered the last shop he glanced at the owner of the shop. "Excuse me? Do you have anything belonging to a Sith Lord? Specifically a Sith Lord about....I don't know a few hundred years ago?" The owner looked around the shop and shrugged, walking to the back to see if he had anything. Felran waited patiently. He was currently dressed in his Sith robes as always. He never left with out them on him. His saberstaff hung from a hook on his belt. He never left without that either.

Allara Ven looked inside of this pawnbroker as well. During her adventures on Dagobah, a name was spoken to her by the Force. One of her ancestors, possibly. She recognized it as a Sith ritual name, one that a devotee to the Dark Side takes once abandoning their old life. She was hoping that this place had some sort of artifact belonging to him. However, she heard a voice come in and speak the words about a Sith Lord dating back a few centuries. She eyed the red Zabrak carefully, making note of his Dathomiri-like tattoos. "You as well? Good luck. I've only got a name to go by." She watched him carefully, her arm tingling some as she recalled why she distrusted Sith in the first place. She would never have believed that Coruscant of all places would become a territory of the Sith. Around her waist, coiled, was a black serpent-like creature.

Felran turned, observing the woman who spoke to her. He chuckled softly "I certainly have more than a name. But people don't really know who Darth Maul was so just asking for random artifacts works just as fine." Felran noted how he could feel the force emanating from her. "You are looking for a Sith Lord as well? What is his name?" If anyone should know the name of an old Sith it would be Felran. Searching through so many holocrons, old books, even just myths people spoke of had taught Felran a lot about the ancient Sith and the most infamous of them during their time periods.

"From what my....sources have told me." She put the word lightly, "This person I seek was named Cadeus. That's all I know. No face, former names, or other family. I'll assume with the name that he was fully referred to as Darth Cadeus." She stood and looked at the Sith, rather curious as how he would know such a name. Sure, it was a Sith name, but she did not leave it to the idea that Sith would memorize every name in their order. There were likely hundreds of Darths before even the Gulag Plague. "All I know is that I am of his blood somehow. But this is more of a curiosity. My lineage does not rule me completely."

Felran gave an evil smile. He knew about Cadeus. People still told stories of him as a Sith and as the savior of the galaxy, no matter how small that group is. "I am familar with the name. I have definitely heard that name in the holocrons. Yes. But tell me, do you know my ancestor? Darth Maul?" Felran walked to the nearest wall and laid his back on it. There wasn't much reason as to why he wanted to know if this woman knew about his ancestor. He was mostly curious if people still remember the Sith behind the name.

"Yes I have heard of him." She said to the Sith, "A warlord who had caused disruption on Mandalore during the Clone Wars all those centuries ago. The Awoken have also told me that he had a connection to Dathomir. Particularly, I seem to recall he was the child of a Nightsister." She looked over the zabrak. He did indeed have the right features to make the claim that he was the scion of Darth Maul. "But what of this Cadeus? The Sith appear to have records. Would they keep the record of who he was before becoming a Darth?"

Felran sighed and took off the hood to fully show his crown of horns. She certainly did know about Darth Maul. They did have records and he did read them. He guessed it was only fair to tell her about Cadues. "They do have records. Not much but they did have his name. Jacen. I didnt see a last name which is strange for them. Obviously he had ties to things they didn't want people to know about. Or his heritage was disgraceful to them. Wouldn't be surprised, the Sith find most things disgraceful."

"Wonderful. Jacen's such a popular name." She said to the Sith, rolling her eyes, "You've been such a help, hornhead." She moved out of his way, heading toward a different section of the black market pawn shop, trying to look for some sort of holocron or record. There has to be something on this Jacen...Darth Caedus person. If he had something to hide when he was alive, that means he was someone of importance. Or at least his family name was. She needed to find more.

Felran was actually extremely interested in this Jacen now. He growled when she called him horn head but him simply moved on. The pawnbroker slowly came out with a box of things and Felran slowly searched them as the broker came out. There was actually a lot of things, robes, all of it. Felran looked at the pawn broker. "Do you know anything about a Darth Cadues? I know his first name was Jacen but-" "Solo." "Excuse me?" "His name was Jacen Solo."

Allara stopped in her tracks as she heard what was said to the Sith. "Bantha spit!" She said to the pawnbroker, "Solo? As in, General Han Solo of the old Rebellion? Captain of the Millenium Falcon? I refuse to believe I'm descendant of someone that legendary." She stormed back up to the front of the store, standing beside Felran now. "If that's true, that also means..." Her eyes started to go wide, whispering to herself, "The burned man from my visions."

The pawnbroker shrugged. "Yes Jacen was the son of Han Solo but Jacen was much more important. He was one of the cruical people that saved us from the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. If it wasn't for him we would have likely been serving the Vong as slaves! But....his desire to protect everyone was what was his downfall. That's why he became a Sith." Felran sighed. "Well that explains why they erased all traces of his last name. It would be shameful to know a Sith Lord had decended from one of the main forces that ended the empire."

"Tch." She made a chiding sound at the Zabrak, "Unless we do a genetic test, I refuse to believe that I'm a Solo. I mean, I don't even look like them." She stared over at the pawn broker. "Surel there would have to be some sort of genetic record to test against, right?"

The pawnbroker shook his head. "Look Mam' I'm just a pawnbroker. I know the history and have its items....I can't tell you of your related to the Solo's or not. It has been over 800 years.....of course you wouldn't look like a Solo. Doesn't mean you aren't though." Felran sighed and pushed the box back, finding nothing of intrest. "Most people would take pride they descended from such a famous person.....why don't you believe?"

"Because I'm nobody special, Sith." She hissed at him, "I'm a young woman who was once a little girl abandoned at an orphanage. I highly doubt a Solo would do that to their child." She sighed, looking at him. Aparently her outburst awoke her sleeping pet. The black snake around her waist slithered up her arm. She petted the amphistaff across its black scales.

Felran sighed. "It doesn't matter who the hell you are, your genetics the same as the Solo's. You are a Solo. There is no argument with what was destined to be." Felran looked at the broker again. "Do you have anything on Darth Maul?" The man's eyes widen when he heard the name, quickly shaking his head. "N-No. I haven't. I don't collect items from him....I have some c-connections to him. If I remember correctly h-half of his saber is still where he fell." Felran smiled as he heard that....he knew that place all to well.
