  Hunter served as a military intelligence officer in the Alliance Marines' 222nd Nova Corps under Osarla Ridor until he grew disillusioned after the Sacking of Coruscant. Listed as K.I.A, he defected to the Empire and into its military intelligence ranks.
  
  His notoriety and career suddenly sprung up during the Galidraani Troubles due to his direct participation and enactment of war crimes and political purges to solidify Willan Tal 's control under the nom de guerre of "Cromwell".
