DESCRIPTION
Hunter Technologies started in Gallinore's booming Cybernetics industry by engineer Kalen Hunter. He started the company when several of his cybernetic designs were turned down due to the higher cost at the time for the much more smaller component requirements. His House nearly went bankrupt in the first year that Hunter Technologies was founded, however, fortune swung in their favor soon with the development of far more cheaper and effective components as well as an endorsement by several noble Houses.
Hunter Technologies continued to grow year after year, beating out several competitors and gaining contracts for several notable cybernetic laboratories on Gallinore. When the Hapan borders were opened for trade Hunter Technologies was recognized by the Galactic Empire as producing the best quality cybernetics in a Hapan industry already known for producing the best in the galaxy. Soon the Empire became one of Hunter's biggest contracts, providing the bulk of their needs. This rise in popularity allowed Hunter Technologies to branch out into the Bio-Medical and Genetics field, a moved pushed by the then owner Corso Hunter after his daughter was diagnosed with Shilmer's Syndrome.
By the time Thomas Hunter gained control of the company Hunter Technologies had made great strides in cybernetics and the medical field, becoming the largest provider of both on Gallinore. When the Consortium further opened the boarders Thomas Hunter made the move to expand the growing company beyond the Transitory Mists, establishing a new facility on Myrkr. This facility would go on to becoming the main face for Hunter Technologies to the rest of the galaxy, opening up new contracts in the Outer Rim, Corporate Sector, and even in Hutt space. Tragedy struck when, under the manipulation of a small Sith faction, the Hunter elders were murdered and the hires scattered across the galaxy. Though the company survived it struggled to maintain for years afterwards. Five years after the deaths Samara Galloway left the sith order and returned to regain control of Hunter Technologies. However, due to her growing commitments to the Jedi Order and restore her maternal families noble title Samara became less of a public figure for the company. In the convening years Hunter Technologies had several CEOs until Victoria Hunter, who managed to win the seat as the next eldest daughter to Thomas Hunter.
RATIONALE
Hunter Technologies arose from Gallinore under the control of the Hunter family for three generations before being passed to Thomas Hunter, father of Victoria Hunter and Samara Galloway. After his death ownership passed to the elder sister, with Victoria becoming CEO.
