Hunting Demons

[X-2]

X-2 was walking along the streets of Coruscant when suddenly he got a transmission. He answered and two figures in gold and white cloaks were projected in front of him, they said

"Good evening short creature we have a job for you that will pay plenty. We know of a young boy on the streets of the decadent planet you are on now we want you to find and smite him for we find him and his ways demonic!"

The transmission ended with the two projections disappearing but not before describing the boys looks causing X-2 to become giddy with excitement

"Ah! A mission! I'm all a tingle!!!"

He immediately ran (or well sorta skidded in his case) forward into the closest cantina shoving his way into every and any conversation he could interrupting them with a simple

"Excuse me foul creature could you be so kind as to tell me if you have seen a young human child of about yay height?"

He continued this throughout the night each time getting turned down by many of the cantina patrons but still he persevered

Simon walked through Coruscant, the place creeped him out. People gambling, fighting it was much more active then Kashyyk. Simon needed something though, food. Simon walked into a convenience store, Eleven-Seven. Simon grabbed a bag of something, he couldn't tell what though.

"That'll be nine credits" grumbled a man in maybe about his forties. Simon dropped the credits in the counter as the man handed him the bag. Simon now realizes that it was a bag of chips... 'that was a waste of nine credits' thought Simon as he glanced back at the man. The man was depressed, still working at a convenience store with minimum wage at the age of forty-two. Simon dropped a few more credits on the counter and motioned for him to take them. The man happily accepted, Simon walked out of the store.

Simon looked around, more gloomy people. The planet was depressing and couldn't help but make Simon think of his parents. Simon held back a tear. Then kept walking. A frail, skinny man was getting mugged down an alleyway. Simon couldn't help though, he didn't know how to fight. Simon started to remember that there was a happier Coruscant. Simon thought about heading there, but then remembered there was a five hundred credit admission fee to prove your worth. So Simon sat down next to a wall, and thought about life.

As X-2 pressed even harder looking for the child. He was getting everyone in the cantina extremely angry and annoyed. Until finally the bartender grabbed him by the throat and threw him out the doorway causing him to slide across the pavement with the bartender screaming

"And stay out you annoying little..."

But X-2 didn't hear the rest (or at least he wasn't listening) he merely stood up, patted himself off, and said

"Oooh! Thugs! Humans are so stupid, I should exterminate him with my blaster gun."

But instead he continued to pat himself off and looked to his left and saw something important, then his right, then he realized what he saw to his left and quickly turned his head once again and there it was a young boy fitting the description sitting next to a wall. Though he had no real visible face X-2's eyes showed how gleeful he was and he then started pasting side to side very fast clapping saying

"Oh goody! I've found my target! I will know eliminate them!!"

He stopped pasting leaned forward and shuffled towards the unsuspecting child. He soon made it in front of the child pulled out his blaster, aimed it at him and said

"Oh hello human! I've been contracted to kill you! So you will now be eliminated!!"

Simon looked at the small creature, in confusion. It seemed to be un-identifiable. It had a blaster but... Simon didn't think it would be of much harm and just shook his head and said quietly "no thank you, please don't alarm the other people" Simon said, he did have to admit he was pretty surprised, he didn't expect to be jumped by an unknown species that day.

Simon suddenly didn't feel that sad anymore, he figured it was just an amateur bounty hunter for the fact Simon had never seen him. Simon also couldn't figure out why he was being hunted. Did he do something wrong? Simon eventually figured out he was probably hired by the First Order. But realized that the Fist Order has a lot of money and would probably get a better one. Maybe it was a good bounty hunter? Who knows. Simon kept trying to figure out this problem, awaiting something to happen.

X-2 stood in confusion at the statement the boy said he stood there for a moment and scratched his blaster on his helmet in confusion and simply said

"Why aren't you cowering in fear over me human?! What is the matter with you?! Are you faulty or something?..."

X-2's confusion quickly turned into frustration as he then started shouting

"Oh I get it now you stupid, stupid human! You're just like all the other filthy ape beasts!! YOU'RE NOT INTIMIDATED BECAUSE OF MY HEIGHT AREN'T YOU?!?!?! Well maybe when you see me obliterate this planet in fiery explosions you'll be intimidated!.. Mmmm, you have made me very angry, I will relish in you're untimely demise! I will also relish in the credits that those strange robed figures offered, but now to you're demise..."

He pulled the trigger three times... Nothing happened, then another three times... Still nothing he was getting even more frustrated than before. He started pasting from side to side and smacked the side of his blaster and shook it and repeated the process

"Mmmm, razzum frazzum... Stupid, stupid thing!...."

Simon stared intently at the creature as it shook around it's blaster. Simon shook his head in response to "are you faulty or something?" Simon had to refrain from laughing as the creature struggled with the blaster. "Is the safety on?" Simon asked, Simon still had confidence he wouldn't die, he just wanted to help.

When the human asked the question X-2 stared at the human with obvious anger, then at the gun to see that safety WAS on. X-2 was livid at that point. He then stomped his foot down on the bag of chips crushing them and shoved his finger in the humans face in anger. His hand was twitching and shaking with rage but he looked like he was about to say something

"..."

"..."

Then finally he threw his finger away from the boy went back to pacing left to right with his entire body shaking with anger and finally said

"Mmmmmm!.... Humans make me so very, very, ANGRY!!!!"

He turned back around and pulled his blaster out once again

"I truly am going to enjoy this! You will now be murdered by my WESTAR-34 hand-held blaster pistol"

As he caused a scene in front of the large crowd of people walking by another bounty hunter contracted with the same job saw from a great distance away that there was some commotion going on of in the distance"

"I know... humans are jerks, hating aliens like you, and they hate other people of their own race because they look different or act different" Simon replied, "also, please try not to cause a scene." Simon suggested, they already had but... whatever.

X-2 raised a.. What one would assume to be an eyebrow in confusion as he aimed the blaster

"A human that hates humans?..."

Of coarse being the slight xenophobe that he was he would be curious of something's hate for humans. He tilted his head slightly with curiosity and said

"Humans are the creatures I hate most! The disgusting ape monsters know nothing of anything and only annoy me!!"

His anger was very slowly going down as he stood there

"I understand that..." Simon nodded, he could sense his anger going down. "It's all because humans love money and want everything to be the same, y'know" Simon hoped he knew.

X-2 began to slowly lower his blaster as well as his anger. He didn't want to admit it but he did understand more than he was letting on. His gun grip was loosening rapidly. His head started to tilt downwards with his eyes darting about. He stood there in silent for several moments of silence. He then inhaled peaked his head up and raised his gun again. His hand was shaking, but for different reasons. He stood in silence in front of the child, gun in aim, his finger kept trying to pull the trigger, but he couldn't, he tried, and tried, and tried but he still couldn't. He didn't understand why. He was confused the only things he ever knew were, anger and hate. Meanwhile as this was happening the other bounty hunter was shoving his way through the crowd of people on the streets slowly making his way towards the commotion.

"I'd prefer if you don't shoot me..." Simon says (get it) "it hurts quite a bit." Simon suddenly noticed a bigger human pushing through the crowds. With scars all over it's face. The human looked ready to shoot at both of them and sensed curiosity in it. Suddenly the world started turning, it became harder to breath, Simon's forehead got hot and he started to fall down. Simon was passing out no... having... a vision...

X-2 lowered the gun and lowered his head down again and paid no attention to the joke. He felt mostly conflicted and somewhat sad.
Then the human was doing something strange his head darted up and he stepped back once and looked on in confusion. Then he looked to his left to see a large human starting to push into the crowd then he looked back at the human.

Simon started to have a weird dream... when he woke up all he could remember though were the words

"foolish boy foolish boy foolish boy foolish boy foolish boy foolish boy kill the pig, slit her throat, spill her blood"

Simon darted up, "are you okay!?" Simon randomly blurted out to the small creature.

X-2 was confused and the passing moment of sympathy he had passed

"Okay? I feel excellent since I'm going to kill a disgusting human!! Prepare to die!!!"

X-2 raised his blasters up once again and shot it but as he fired it he was shoved out of the way by a larger human with scars causing the shot to miss the young boy

"Get outta 'ere yah little runt!"

The scared human spat as he pulled his own blaster at the boy. X-2 was furious he stood up and aimed his blaster at the large human

"Ooooh! You smelly disgusting drunk!!! I'm going exterminate you for that!!"

The human bellowed back to X-2:

"I said get outta 'ere this 'ere's my target"

Korro's eyes darted between the two. "let's be reasonable, how about... you both leave me alone?"

Both X-2 and the large human quickly turned their heads to the boy and said simultaneously

"NO!!!"

After which the large human shoved X-2 and said

"This is your last warnin runt"

X-2 glared at the large human and pulled out his blaster

"No that was YOUR last warning!...."

Which was followed by to blaster shots to both of the large humans kneecaps causing him to drop his weapon and collapse on the ground though still alive. X-2 then kick the weapon away then he kicked the large human and turned around and faced the boy

"Now then young boy, where were we?!"

Simon watched him smoothly and easily take out that large mercenary.. "you were about to let me go..." replied Simon hoping he wouldn't call his bluff, even though it was a lame lie and he could've left when he took out that big man.

"The moment has passed human"

X-2 replied now noticing the that a crowd of people were gathering around the dying bounty hunter X-2 decided that here wasn't a good place to kill a human child

"Stand up human!" The... Creature said as he urged him into a dark alley

Simon followed, "look... I'm sure it's not that big of a bounty. You could easily get someone else." Simon started thinking of why someone would want to kill him... what did he do? Simon stared at the creature straight in the eyes. "look... an alley isn't that great of a place to corner someone. There are a lot of weapons." Simon felt weirdly comfortable around this creature. Right now he'd talk more than he'd ever had in his life. Simon pointed to a shank next to his foot. A piece of glass behind the creature and a knife on a crate near them. "see?"
