Hunting The Predator

JaguarHuntingImage.jpeg
Her large paws were lifted high off the ground with every little step. Rotating ears perched up and then swiveled to the side to make sure she was the only one stalking this monster. O'Nikka stalked a common predator known as the Boma. If it were up to her she would be hunting down a Zakkeg at the moment. But for her, those were saved for special occasions in her time on Dxun she had only wrangled up two but even that was a massive challenge. Their thick skulls hung in her disheveled, torn, suspended ship. For now she was on good terms with the Mandalorians because of her successful kills.

Though she would always keep her distance due to her habit of mauling and devouring a member or two. She inched closer and closer to her next victim. A gentle heat surrounded her a force cloak covered her feline body. O'Nikka's muscles tensed when the Boma had paused and sniffed a patch of the moon's ground. For a second she could have sworn there was a sound near her, as in something coming closer but while her excitement sky rocketed there was no looking back. Adrenaline always kicked in right before she attacked.

The Boma would never know what it him.

Without hesitation O'Nikka leaped forward, her paws unleashed large blades able to slice through even thick and hardy metals. Her actions held savage intent but a creature of her abilities could not help but to do it gracefully. The force cloak quickly faded and allowed her as much energy as she would possibly need to make this kill a good one. She would be eating well tonight, no doubt. It would not be long before the lights diminish and the feline would have to lug the prey 'home'.

As she allowed a thick and prominent roar escape from her throat the Boma gave a harrowing screech. In it's futile attempts to fight off the predator O'Nikka latched her mouth around it's fatty neck. All of her teeth were put to good use as soon as they hit it's hide. Wedging themselves straight through, almost to the point where her mouth could have been completely closed. She could even hear the dense bones slowly compressing, unable to withstand her powerful weight.

Within seconds it's life had ended brutally. A few muscles remained twitching but other then that the creature was finished. Taking a deep breath through her large nostrils the skin around the feline's nose curled up and she bared a frightening appearance to whatever or whomever would be watching the fiasco. Even if there was nothing there she still did it to assert her dominance.

Traveling to Dxun had been something he found quite tedious, the star port and then the shuttle required to get out to the city nearest to the jungles. Breathing in the air he couldn't help but feel relief, the air was so clean and much better than he could ever have on Coruscant, but to his pleasant surprise the planet felt quite similar to Coruscant as it was chocked with the dark side of the force. His sight was better than he had ever thought it could be as the flora had absorbed the force enough so that he saw very little as the usual opaque and half-transparent way he usually saw things, even some of the fauna had enough of the force to be more discernible from their surroundings.

After a few hours of his wondering and some small predators thinking he was blind and hoping for a quick meal, he found something interesting. A panther or at least a feline animal that half radiated the force as it stalked through the forest a few meters away from him. He decided to follow the feline for a while, his interested piqued even more when the feline used the force to cloak itself from sight but what it did for his sight was turn it into a phantom like those he was used to seeing when walking among non-force users. He watched as the feline tore into a Boma and killed it easily, during the brief fight he used the chance to climb into a tree so he could watch the magnificent feline display it's dominance to those around it. He wanted to learn how it cloaked itself with the force, so he decided to attempt to follow it and observe it for as long as he could, getting to study the feline for as long as he could.

With the slaughtered beast in the clasp of her powerful teeth O'Nikka began to lift it. Surprisingly it was not as heavy as one would thing. She could easily lift the same weight as her own. Though it was not yes, the carcass dragged against the ground as the feline shifted to her shelter. Every few paw steps she would pause, drop the kill and look around, making sure there was no one following her. O'Nikka could have sworn there was some light movement in the distance but nothing that seemed threatening for the moment. Of course no one was every really safe. Luckily it didn't take her that long to actually reach the ship.

The beast was to large for her to take up the tree on her own. Taking in a deep breath O'Nikka channeled all her possible energy to the strong vines that surrounded her. It was taking a little while but the vines began to curl around the bloody creature's body and hoisted it up. O'Nikka could have sworn that she was going to pass out, a gentle headache began in her head but as commanded the jungle vegetation dropped the creature into her ship. It caused the makeshift shelter to shake and sway but then settled. Looking up the tree, it's thick bark provided a great path way for her claws to dig into the base.

In a scattered manor she made it up the tree, having to then leap into the ship herself. Her pointed ears were positioned to hear behind her and pinned themselves down as she thought for a second the vines would give way and ultimately snap. After she ate they would definitely need an adjustment and some be replaced with stronger, fresh vines. It would take her a few rips and tears into the beast to get though it's thick skin but it was nothing her claws could not handle in order to eat it while in her humanoid form. Combining her feline's weight with the Boma's the shelter was on the brink of crashing.

Followed the Feline with great interest but was as careful as he could not to make a sound or rustle any vegetation, not an easy thing to do for him. When he saw the feline stop at a tree and then controlled the vines he got even more intrigued in the beast and he watched her go into the tree. He watched her eat for a little while but at the creaking of the tree made him go into a slight mischievous mood and with the force he applied only the slightest of more pressure, increasing it only slightly over a few moments. Hoping to see the felines reaction should things not go her way and hopefully learn something more about her. What really confused him however was the ship as something like that as a lair displayed frightful intelligence or simple irony, he wanted to know which.

The warm flesh entering her stomach was more then she could ever wish for in this moment. Light blood trickled down the sides of her mouth, covering her nose. Her claws tore open while her teeth took out whatever she could find. Whether that would be muscles, organs, or skin- she devoured it all. Within a few seconds she stopped eating. Her acute senses began to pick up the sound of the tree's thick wood creaking with movement.

Almost immediately she shifted into her human form. O'Nikka flipped her dark brown hair off her shoulders. The beast's blood covered her nose, lips, and hands. As well as the fowl stench. Gently she placed her hand on the tree, the twisting wood within it's casing frightened her, there was only a two things it could possibly be. A natural phenomenon or a force user. They definitely were not using plant surge since the feeling she got from it, the feeling the basically resonated from the Moon would have to be a dark force.

Quickly O'Nikka attempted to battle against the power hurting her tree, both of them were strong forces. She looked over her shoulder, her gut feeling that something or someone was within her presence was definitely correct. The long spotted tail behind her swished and ticked, showing signs of discomfort and anger. Her glowing eyes scanned the tree line in an attempt to find whomever was causing her tree it's pain.

T'zanith stopped using the force when he saw the feline shift into a humanoid form. "What is she?" Was the first thought that came to his mind as he stared at her through the thicket of leaves he had hid within. This feline, no woman, was by far the most interesting thing he had seen so far on his travels through the galaxy and the more he saw of her and her abilities the more he wanted to know and learn about her and those said abilities.

Without his knowledge, his robe's tattered bottom hung out loosely from his hiding place leaving only a pair of tattered cloths barely visible from the rest of the thicket. The tree he was hiding in was around 3-40 meters away from O'Nikka's tree and the distance gave him just enough to be able to see her in a semi clear way but it was enough of a distance for him to observe her from a relatively safe distance.

The force that surged through the tree came to a complete halt. The irises glowing in her eye sockets flickered against the night's darkness. Taking a deep breath of the fresh, clean air O'Nikka took her hands off tree's thick bark and crawled to the roof of the ship. While on the balls of her bare feet, the feline lifted her head and flared her nostrils. Just as her beastly counterpart would, she used her hyper-developed senses to their full capacity.

There was something a little faint wafting in the air. While were so many possible things the sent could be it was clear to her how foreign this one was. O'Nikka could not pin-point exactly where it was coming from but the source but it was narrowed down. The woman braced herself, backing up a few steps and then broke out into a fast and coordinated run. Her tail waved behind her, as if she could walk on air her legs pedaled below her.

Her skill set was definitely enhanced. O'Nikka threw her hands up and grasped onto a branch that was 10 meters away from her jumping point. The branch swayed but she swung herself up and gained her balance once more. If she had not been born and raised in this Moon's environment that would have been impossible for most. Her long legs and arms were built for running and jumping distances of great proportions. Had she not been so tall then some of the things would not work out as intended.

T'zanith couldn't help but admire the survival instinct of the feline's shifted form and his interest just grew that more in the creature as she smelled the air around her. His interest however changed when she came charging at him or at least his direction and he moved slightly which caused the tree to move and a few leaves to fall. He could only hope that she didn't see it as she leaped those 10 meters and closed the cap between them by quite a lot, to much for the half-breed to be comfortable and his had moved to grab at his knife to be sure that he could at least attempt to defend himself against her, seeing how strong she was in her feline form she could just as well be that strong in the human form.
