Hunting Trip

[Rhodessa]

She decide to go to drummond kass for hunting trip, she had heard the local wildlife had been little more active of late. She wanted to try hunting down one their legendary monsters down. She arrived in her starfighter, and had look around. The world was definitely a mess, her peoples sure did a number on this planet. Though the wild life has definitely, started taking over.

Before she head out she head to local cantina, to see if their where any other hunters around. Also to see what was out their to be hunted.

Dromund Kaas, the Throne of Rain.

I hadn't been here since I had woken up, and it hadn't changed much. Ruined cities had been rebuilt, but many were still uninhabited. Old temples stood where they always had, and stone spires still stood on them as they had for four millennia. [member="Rhodessa"] had put out a general call for big game hunters, and I had decided that my tracking skills and animal hunting could use the work.

So, here I was, landing.

She met up with a man named [member="Cross Ikon"], in cantina he apparently a good tracker. Some thing she wanted on hunting trip, she know idea what she was going to face. Though what ever it was she was sure it was going to be furious, and huge in size. This was some thing she was looking forward too, it would prove to people she was true mandalorian.

So what do you think we will find out their? She asked the man, as they went of their hunting trip. They few droids in tow, to set up camp and do night time sentry duty.

"Either something really dangerous, or something really cute, I hope. I'm a sucker for both."

I grinned at the huntress beside me.

"Either way, I'm sure it'll be a great hunt. If it's big, we get trophies. If it's cute, we get something cuddly. Like a puppy or whatnot."

They set out into jungles of drummond kass, weapons and equipment in tow. After about four hour of walking, deeper into the jungle. They decide to set up camp, the droids where put on sentry mode. Then she pulled out her canteen, and drank some water. So how long, you been in them ruins? She asked him, she could here some noises in the background. Nothing of note though, it would probably tomorrow before they find any thing big in jungle.

"Only a few hours... I was once assigned here to survey the ruins of Kaas City, see if it could be rebuilt. The obvious answer is yes, but I answered no in my report. It would've taken far too long, and it would never had helped Hapes, seeing as it's not close to the Consortium's old territory."

I took a gulp of whiskey.

"Of course, my team didn't know about the Dark Temple, the big stone one a few miles west of the city. Half of 'em went in there and only a handful came out with their minds intact."

Well I bear that in mind, and stay away from their. She told [member="Cross Ikon"], as they both had a drink. She then realized, he was drinking alcohol. Hey ho it was his life, but she was sticking to water. As she had heard of terrifying beast in this jungle, and she wanted to keep her wits about her.

As they talked, one the sentry droids started to beep. I just go over and check it out, she said to her companion. She went over, it could detect some thing big not far away. She turned to him and hushed voice said Get you gun ready, we may be seeing our prey soon enough. She was unsure what it was, but what ever it was it big.

I grabbed my blaster and put my jacket and hat back on. I refused the rifle the huntress offered me. I simply wasn't accurate or even vaguely comfortable with a rifle. They struck me as a bit unwieldy, and I preferred my custom-made weapons, anyway.

I cocked the weapons in the cuffs of my jacket, and unlocked the safety on my blaster. There was something moving in the bushes. I couldn't tell what size it was, but it was coming.

"I hear it... Can't tell what it is, though."

I have no idea, She said to [member="Cross Ikon"], then she could see trees moving. They where being broken, she could here them snap. As some thing was running towards them, it Rorraaahhhed as i got closer. She was get scared by it, she took her rail gun. Got herself ready to fire at it, as soon as she could see it. Then it came into the clearing, she fired at it. The blast of her weapon on it at full charge, seemed to do nothing to it. Feth, she shouted as she realized she going to need a bigger gun. The creature in front of her resembled a rancor, though it had armoured spikes coming out of it. It hands had massive claws, coming out if it. It looked like a creature from hell, and it`s mouth was frothing, as it looked at them. She turned to her hunting partner and asked, What in the force is that thing.

"Oh son of a- It's a Terantatek... Big Jedi-eating monster that Sith used to keep as pets. Found a few of them on that survey mission I talked about."

I aimed my pistol at a chink in its armor, around its eyes, and fired at full power. The shots did nothing. On a whim, I activated the push gauntlets mounted over my gloves. Taking in the area of the clearing, I saw a rather large cliff a little bit beyond where the monster had emerged from.

"This is gonna get rough, but it'll be knocked out if we push it over that cliff. Won't kill it, though."

[Rhodessa]

She listened to [member="Cross Ikon"], as he spoke. Then monster grabbed a droid, and tried to eat it. As the creature bit into it, with it foaming mouth. The droid let out a large electrical discharge, it seemed to have no effect on it. She fired her rail gun it again, still nothing. It then went swipe at her. It narrowly avoid hitting her, it a tree instead. It claw went straight through the tree. She then turned to run away from it, may be hunting trip was not such a good idea after all. If she ever does this again, she want a bigger gun.

"Alright, monster... Come and get some!"

I activated the pushgaunts, sending the beast flying ten feet backwards. I was buying time so me and [member="Rhodessa"] could get him riled up and make him go running over the side of the cliff.

"Yeah, get good and angry, nerf herder. That's just what I want."

 

[Rhodessa]

She saw [member="Cross Ikon"] try and taunt the monster, to no avail. It crushed the another droid, and ripped it head of it`s mouth. The situation seem hopeless, then it fell to its knees. She looked at it, and eyes seemed to fade like it was dying. The froth in it`s mouth, seem to slow down. Then it fell flat on the floor, its body was still moving and twitching.

She companion in confusion, and then asked him What the hell happened? It had them, they where meant to die here. The creature was unstoppable, by their weapons. It claws should ripped through their armour, like scissors through paper. None of it made sense, how did the biggest creature on the planet, just keel over. Then creature stop twitching, and passed away.

"Holy frak... It just... died. It couldn't have died from the pushgaunts."

I glanced sidelong at Rhodessa.

"You don't poison your bullets or anything, right? Because it's frothing at the mouth..."

No it`s just a railgun, she replied. Her voice was still sounded terrified, from the dead creature. Though she was starting to get, her head back together. She then sat down leaned, against the remains of tree. She pulled out her cantina, and took swig of water. There can't be many more of them can their? She asked nervously. She then heard a high pitch meow in the distance.

"Meow? Are you that scared, [member="Rhodessa"]?"

I took a large gulp of whiskey, and then looked down to see a small black creature staring at me. Yellow eyes, black fur, staring at me.

"Ummm. Is that a kitten?"

 

[Rhodessa]

I think so. She replied to [member="Cross Ikon"], then she added but it`s pitch is quite high. Soon enough the creature entered the wrecked campsite, and started to eat the monster. It was half purring as it did, like cat got cream or something. She then looked at her companion asked Is that even remotely normal? She was getting ready to kill it, and find out. As something was amiss here, and may be killing and having it checked out might help find out what it was.
