- City Name: Hurom
- Classification: Metropolis
- Location: Thule
- Affiliation: House Zambrano (De Facto), The Resurgent Empire (De Jure)
- Demographics: 90% Human, 10% Other
- Wealth: High. Hurom is the capital and industrial center of Thule and the central hub for everything going in and out of the planet. Through a strong relationship with the Resurgent Empire as well as the distant Panathan Empire, its wealth has risen in recent times.
- Stability: After the reconquering of Thule in recent years and the restoration of the monarchy under King Braxus of House Zambrano, the Royal Family has worked to bring the rule of law to Thule. Stability was already high when the Resurgent Empire came through their efforts and with their newfound position as a vassal state have an extra layer of stability.
- Description: Hurom stands as a true example of how the guiding hand of a totalitarian regime can uplift a city into the modern world. Hurom once stood as a decaying city scarred from many recent wars between the forces of the light, the mandalorians, and the great empires. The city was already falling apart with many of its buildings generations old in the archaic military design. After Thule was reconquered by the Zambrano Monarchy and the appointment of Braxus Zambrano as its King work immediately began in a massive reconstruction project that uplifted Thule to the modern age.
Tall pyramids dots the surface the archaic, ancient designs were swept away in the form of its tall spires and duracrete streets, the imperial way that House Zambrano mandated was brought to Thule. Everything was expanded and restored adding many new buildings including great industrial factories, just some of many that dotted Thules surface helping to optimize its resources. In recent times however with King Braxus accepting an agreement with [member="Vrak Nashar"] earning Thule autonomy in return for paying its share of taxes, tariffs, and supplying resources to the Resurgent Empires war machine.
Ever since the Resurgent Empires banners fell from Huroms Great Ziggurat the capital city has seen a spike in immigrating people of the Sith pureblood persuasion. Already their influence is seen through the city by a noticeable sith architecture stemming from these peoples cultures continuing to change the landscape of Hurom.
- Great Ziggurat of Hurom: The largest towering structure in Hurom, the Great Ziggurat was built atop the same area where an ancient Sith temple once stood. When House Zambrano reclaimed control of Thule the great structure was the first to be restored as part of the massive construction project. It developed into both temple in its lower levels as well as the administrative hub for both Hurom and Thule. In recent times to honor the returning Sith pureblood population and the Resurgent Empire King Braxus enlisted the aide of Kissai priests to staff the temple portion and once again perform the sacred rights to consecrate it.
- The Red District: While pureblood architecture can be seen through the city one cant ask for more of its presence than the Red District. This area of the city was where the Sith pureblood population first came together following their immigration, and this area holds a predominately pureblood population, as well as holding the greatest concentration of their architectural influence and culture in the city.
- Hurom Starport: The Imperial-Class grade starport was one of the earliest influences brought to Hurom by its new KIng to handle the great influx of traffic brought by the new governments many projects, as well as the exporting of resources. Its now the first stop for those arriving at the city.
The history of Hurom begins many centuries in the past during the days of the old republic. Civilization first came to the area that would become Hurom by agents of Xim's empire. Many years later however following the Great Hyperspace War many sith survivors fled to Thule. It was from this group of sith that Hurom was created and when its name began to be used in ancient records. The city was the center of the oligarchy, the ruling military dictatorship of Thule.
The great city changed many hands over the years as empires rose and fell, the population of Sith purebloods in the city dying out and a human population remaining as Darth Revan's empire absorbed the city. The next time the great city saw influence was by Lord Kaans Brotherhood of Darkness that brought a legion of chiss to Thule, during this time Hurom experienced yet more changes.
The greatest period of change for Hurom came many centuries later during the rise of the Old Sith Empire when it became one of many worlds within its borders. Thule experienced great development and modernization when it served as the domain of a Sith Lady Karin Dorn who took up residence in her castle in the center of Hurom. The peaceful rule changed however with the arrival of a dominant force in the Old Empire: Kaine Zambrano([member="Darth Carnifex"]). Kaine Zambrano wrestled control away from Karin Dorn in a campaign that not only resulted in the powerful masters death, but resulted in virtually the entire Dorn family being wiped out across the galaxy.
King Kaine Zambrano brought the Empires iron fist down on Thule bringing with him unprecedented stability and new lows in crime. It provided for the Empire and served as the mans lair until he climbed the ladder from Lord to Sith Emperor. Even without Kaines presence on Thule his mark was made in the form of his massive castle in Hurom's center, a stark reminder of who they served. Some thought the rule of the King turned Emperor Kaine would continue for years to come...
They were wrong.
The Old Sith Empire after a long drawn out war came crashing down in spectacular fashion as order turned into utter chaos. Hurom was scarred and war torn during these brutal campaigns and in the aftermath it was thoroughly looted by fleeing Sith forces, all semblance of order was shattered. For the first time in a long time Hurom was returned to the people of Thule who claimed independence on the brutalized city. For many years the ruins remained in virtually the same state as when the old empire fell with the locals making little progress in big changes. But on one fateful day the future of this world was changed forever by the return of a familiar group.
House Zambrano returned.
Kaine Zambrano I, Arch-King of the Pacanth Reach and God-King of the Epicanthix made his triumphant return alongside his uncle the Arch-Prince Braxus Zambrano. Thule was reclaimed by House Zambrano and taken over by Braxus Zambrano who after killing the powerful sith lady Darth Vitium was crowned King. Reconstruction efforts expedited under King Braxus's rule House Zambrano restored the war torn world from its sorry state to the pinnacle it once stood as, improvements being made to ensure it stood taller than it ever did.
But as always the winds of change swept through Hurom.
The Resurgent Empire brought its war machine to the Stygian Caldera claiming dominion over all within its borders, their banners flew on every world. King Braxus called the conclave of Thule together and began pondering how they would handle the new arrivals. But this problem was solved when Vrak Nashar came to Thule and met with the King. Lord Nashar promised that House Zambrano could maintain its autonomous rule over the world in exchange for becoming a vassal state under the new Empire. Thule would pay its share of taxes, tariffs, and resources to the Empire. The bargain was struck and Hurom opened its gates to any and all from their new Empire.
