Nar Vaadu | Palace of Keg'rala the Hutt Keg'rala the Hutt

Hutts from far and wide (ha!) were sent a simple invite to their datapads and comms ; a party and meeting of the minds on Var Naadu, a part city-part junkyard planet that was a Hutt stronghold. The intention of the congregation of Hutts was simple, a chance for fraternity and small-talk, but one of business and plans to expand their reach beyond Hutt Space and the shady reaches of many underworld locations. Massive amounts of food would be served, drinks would be free flowing, and entertainment was already acquired.

If one was a Hutt who wanted to be noticed and seen, this was the event of the year.

Harajuba slowly worked his way through the Palace entrance. Dressed in his classic wampa fur coat and hat, his 'walking' stick clicked on the ground as he slithered forward. He had came with just one hired bodyguard, a barabel named Vik, silently keeping watch at his side. Harajuba did not intend for anything horrible to befall such an event. Yes, Hutts could be backstabbing and manipulative, but from the invite it was clear there was a bigger plan to come together to exert their power at the galaxy at large.

A
shapely Togruta was waiting to greet those entering the Palace.

"Welcome, Mighty Harajuba. We have been expecting you."

A nod of his massive head, silently thanking the Togruta for the welcome.

<< I am honored to be included. >>

Having just barely approached middle age, Harajuba wasn't the powerhouse many of his Hutt brethren were. He ran nightclubs and brothels on smaller seedy planets and space stations. Wealthy to a point, sure. Yet a powerful gangster like many in attendance? Not at all. That was his uncle, Whulnur, who could command gangs and bend governments to his whim. He much preferred to party and gamble, bending those he needed favors from in other ways.

Loud music was playing in a massive room up ahead, and the party-loving Hutt slithered his way towards the action.

The glorious scrap-heap of Nar Vaadu has provided a well-need refuge for the Fath'ara clan for over a century. I have overseen it all. Many of the other clans have spurned the Fath'ara since the Old Republic age, where my ancestor Voontara dishonored himself and died in disgrace on Voss. His secret successor managed to keep the name alive, and we hid for generations in the lower levels of Nar Shaddaa. We had to hide, for the other clans wanted us eliminated for what was said of us from deeds on Nal Hutta in the ancient feud with the Nem'ro Clan.

A speeder heist that could have been traced back to the Fath'ara clan made me leave Nar Shaddaa's slummy lower levels to Nar Vaadu. The planet was forgotten and neglected. It was a perfect hiding place. However, it would not do to hide. It was time for the Fath'ara to dominate once more. Upon landing at Port Junka, the Fath'ara soon took over one of the Scrap Lords' domains. The offer to the rest was clear, surrender assets to the Fath'ara or die. Many were smart, and surrendered their holdings to me in exchange for positions in my cartel. Others, were eradicated with prejudice with weapons, droids, and men that once belonged to their rivals. I now owned this planet. All of it was property of the Fath'ara. Not a claim of rulership like most clans, but true ownership.

A brief spat of ambition lead to the Nal Hutta Empire forming, yet combatting interests of the clans and ambitious pirate vermin lead to it fizzling out before it could truly dominate. The Empire of the Lost now sets its sights on Kessel, a planet that is rightfully for the Hutts. Those petulant Imperials did not deserve the wealth of Hutt Space. However, there were clans ambitious enough to pick up where that so called "Empire" from Nal Hutta left. We had all gained some acquaintance, and whether it be through their respect of the domain of the Fath'ara I created on this scrap heap, or their recognition of my refusal to leave without extraneous levels of protection, lead to our first assembly in my home. I had some of my organic servants greeting them, however the majority were dancing droids that functioned as guides and greeters.

One Hutt, clearly from Nar Shaddaa's more glamorous scene entered the throne room. Loud music played, and I watched the joint performance of both alien and droid dancers doing an opening act of a ballet depicting the rise of the ancient Hutt Empire from Varl. An epic of our ancestors seemed apt for our summit discussing our rise to power once more. I gestured this guest, dressed in glamorous pelts, to a seat beside mine with my organic arm. "Nar Vaadu welcomes you, guest.", I said as my guest approached in the ancestral tongue, "Judging by your attire, I presume you are Harajuba. Your uncle was one of the vultures who drove my clan to the bowels of Nar Shaddaa." My tone was rather flat, hardly communicating any form of hospitality or hostility.

The Hutt Cartel had been a defunct entity for a long period, yet several Kajidics still held power in their regional territory. Some even had an entire planet like Keg'rala The Hutt. It was obvious that he likely would be the supreme power of this newly formed Hutt Cartel, or atleast be a major player among his fellow slugs. Boht served power, and at this moment he would need to align with Keg'rala even if it was just for now. Moving at a slothful pace, with Kaweh Hujaan Kaweh Hujaan by his side in typical Hutt fashion he paid his respects with materialism. Keeping his best Bounty Hunter and Enforcer nearby for this summit.

"I Boht The Hutt bring gifts to my kind of scum, a crate of Boga Noga! The best ale that only a true Hutt's stomach can handle!"

The gargantuan figure had gestured his slaves to bring the crate of such worth for the summit, a political move to represent prestige of the Whoma Kadijic. But also one that signified good will to other heads of Kajidics, to give something of such wealth away showed that he was willing to be a partner in reviving The Hutt Cartel. As long as he shared in the credits and power of course. Boht may not control all of Nal Hutta, but he had influence in several settlements. This was done with a basic racketeering operation, the basics were ; Parties gave his Kajidic money, and they were allowed to operate businesses in his territory.

There were plans to advance further on Nal Hutta, but for now that was not the focus. So far this summit had garnered two other Hutts , besides Boht himself. It did not matter if more arrived or not, if more did then it meant there was still an abundance of Hutt power. If not, then it meant less credits to share and less power. Both were fine to the paranoid figure, less people meant less possible traitors. However that would not stop him from wearing his durasteel form fitted chestplate. It may not stop the heavier stuff, but it certainly was better then nothing. It seem he was the youngest here of his brethren, likely a point that may limit his political move he had attempted.

Brodda Besadii Tai's delegation of the criminal empire of Ylesia arrived late to give the other crime lords time to shine in all their obese glory.

The droning of the personal repulsor harness of Brodda was to be heard even before the intimidating Hutt, decorated with sparse but priceless jewellery, floated weightless into the hall.

A retinue of deadly cybernetic enhanced Gank-Killers remained at the doors, and only two bodyguards and a majordomos accompanied the hovering monstrosity.
Two bounty hunters, one a Tiss'shar and the other an Ubese, flanked the crime lord. A grotesque t'landa Til with datapads in the hands and a visor for augmented reality before his rhino face stand beside his floating master.

The dealer in spice and master of the slave trade demonstrated to his ilk a preference for dangerous minions which were no slaves, but had earned the respect of the Hutts because of their ruthlessness.
The ability to buy loyalty of competent professionless subtly implies immense riches and widespread contacts.

"Boshuda, Kajidiis!", the sonorous voice of the Ylesian overlord boomed in the hall and respectful hand gestures honoured every one of the assembled crime lords. His smile, sinister for other species, was pleasant and friendly in the eyes of Hutts.
His reptilians eyes narrowed at sight of the gathering. A new Cartell! A profitable idea and an ambitious host. A disgraced scrapyard Hunn, who desparaelty tried to earn the respect of his peers. Brodda gave him this respect with a graceful nod. The chest full of priceless gliiterstim slaves brought before the host was nothing compared to shown respect by one of the oldest clans of the Hutts.

This ambitious larvae should struggle for leading position. He couldn't care less. Brodda would be the supporter and adviser for whoever would take the spotlight.

Perla the Hutt had been sitting on her fat ass in the throne room of her palace…HA. Dang. Fine. Right. Her star barge might be vast but it was no palace and even she would admit it. The Sable Chariot was a casino ship and sometimes it functioned as her own private yacht but whatever it certainly turned a fair share of profit (that she in turn internally if unfairly expanded operations with cuz Hutt). She can’t brag. Not yet. She isn’t an idiot. But her servant was.

He suffered from a brain tumor or whatever after his mistress slapped him upside the head upon his failure to bring her the correct beverage. She had asked for a watermelon-flavored Saki-Star and he brought her lemon! He wouldn’t be making that same mistake again. Apparently that’s what happened when dead.

Invitation on her datapad. To be honest her fellow Hutt had sold her on lots of food and lots of drink. Perla did wonder what the entertainment would be like however. Hopefully better than what her slaves provided. Some of them also died that same day. Whatever, there was a new game to play. A new game of thrones. It just required her to get off her big butt and venture from her floating fortress to the fortress of one of her not-so-fellow Hutts so hello and let’s go!

Perla the Hutt’s shuttle had landed. Her name was the Palanquin. Perla exited on her palanquin carried by eight slaves ‘cause she’s fat and knows it. She was flanked by a Shistavanen bodyguard and a Muun interpretor-servant-person while a scantily clad Zeltron woman was pulled along at the back of the caravan. They all made their way to a shapely Togruta who looked more like a schutta to Perla. Kyeh. Harlot.

“Welcome, sublime Perla. We have been expecting—”

“WAT!? Did you just call me slime?” Perla glared her daggers.

“I—No—I—”

“DO I LOOK LIKE SLIME TO YOU!?”

“Most Excellent Excellence,” her Muun servant interjected. “I do believe she said ‘sublime’—”

-WHACK!-

That earned him a slap for talking back.

“Oh whatever MOOOOOOOVE! FORTH UNTO THE DOOOOOOOR!”
Perla roared and made sure to slap some stupid Human recently promoted to Carrier of the Litter for his insolence despite his silent compliance.

With her chariot stationed at an appropriate place in the palace, Perla warned her slaves that if they took a bathroom break while she was away then they would feel the pain so they best stay and not complain. She made her way into the room with groovy music flanked by her Shistavanen and Muun and followed behind by her Zeltron.

Atop Perla’s backside or tail as they say were her two crates. Given their contents, they were fairly heavy, but the Hutt is heavier than the Death Star was on its better days so whatever. She slithered forward toward the others, though to be fair she didn’t look at any other Hutt, at the band, at the slaves and servants and guards, but just found her dais and promptly plopped her body on her seat with a drink already between her grubby fingers.

“Ahhhhhhh…” Perla licked her lips. “DELICIOUS!” Her Saki-Star was liquid in a laminated foil vacuum pouch with a straw in it. It was watermelon. As she had taught a lesson. Chest of gifts on one side. Chest of goods on one side. There was a difference. Shistavanen on one side. Muun on one side. There wasn’t much of a difference.

Here’s another lesson: When you play this game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.

“Give them a jig and wiggle them HIIIIIIIIIPS”
Perla commanded as her Shistavanen tossed her Zeltron toward the floor to dance for the audience. Perla was loud about it. She liked being loud. A true Hutt was loud and PROUD.

Tyze, Jutteth's majordomo, felt the cold durasteel on his face moments after being ruthlessly slapped to the ground by the giant slug. His eyes burned a fiery orange of rage whilst he looked down on his second in command. Tyze harrowingly scrambled back to his feet, bringing his shattered glasses in hand before shakily sliding them back into his pockets. His arms rose above his face as he pleaded with the lorda to see reason.

"T-the datapad isn't just going to drop into our lap, they've covered their tracks well and hidden the assets.. I need more time."

<< I've provided you with ample time, sent you scouring through the galaxy just to send me on a wild chase for stupid coaxium crystals-- E Chuta! >>

The hutt furiously retorted, almost as if venom was spewing from his mouth as he boomed his transgressions to his majordomo, who wisely took a few paces backward to avoid receiving another slap from Jutteth. Without another servant in immediate reach, he settled for destroying the objects nearest to him, throwing himself into a fit as he smashed several vases.

<< I need that datapad within the month, if I can absorb those assets, that will bring me one step closer to ridding those bastards from the criminal world. My family will inherit it all, no more second place. >>

As Jutteth consulted his majordomo, his personal translator droid whizzed down the winding staircase leading into the room, making their way over to the angered hutt. The droid too kept itself a good distance from its master, having enough competent programming to know being close to him now wasn't a good idea.

<< Mighty Jutteth, the meeting you brokered with Keg'rala is scheduled to partake soon. I have the coordinates prepared and put into your personal shuttle. Our probe droids have already confirmed the site is safe. >>

<< Have the crystals brought to the ship, one crate will be enough. >>

E5W69iL.png

The personal sheathipede shuttle carved its way through the upper atmosphere of the scrap-yard of Nar Vaadu. Jutteth sneered as his eyes lazily glazed through the transparasteel of his ship, making a comment to his servants about how a Hutt could possibly call a planet of scrap and trash home. His two starfighters remained in close proximity to the shuttle, flanking it on either side as the ship prepared to land near all of the other luxury shuttles the hutts flew in on. As the ships landed and the shuttle doors opened, using his personal hoversled, Jutteth made his way over to the entrance of the hideout. Accompanied by him would be his two droid guard units and his personal droid. Angrily, Jutteth was made aware that Perla the Hutt Perla the Hutt had a shuttle with a nicer coat of paint on the exterior, throwing a slap across his servant droids shiny head, demanding that his ship too be rescheduled for more modifications.

After being escorted through the palace and brought to the meeting room, Jutteth took note of all that attended, giving out respectful head nods as his guard droids carried a decently sized heavily reinforced crate, slamming it onto the table in front of Jutteth as he took his place. He took note of his relative by Kajidic, Brodda Besadii Tai Brodda Besadii Tai , before refocusing his attention over to Keg'rala the Hutt Keg'rala the Hutt , who was sat at the head of the table. This was not his domain, and if he wanted to secure a powerful connection to another family that has felt the burn of prior conflict, the Fa'athras, he would need to be as respectful as possible. A thick tension loomed in the air as the dominating figures all faced one another down. Meetings of this magnitude with Hutts had not happened in a long time, and had a high probability of bloodshed.

<< Apologies for my lack of punctuality, and thank you for allowing us to use your home as a safe rendezvous point for this meeting. >>

Jutteth spoke coldly; his large eyes remained focused on Keg'rala as the servants of the palace handed him his own personal hookah, one he wouldn't smoke just incase of poison.

<< I am sure my Uncle had great reason to drive the mighty clan of Keg'rala the Hutt Keg'rala the Hutt into the bowels of Nar Shadda. >>

Harajuba's eyes narrowed. He would be careful to watch Keg'rala during this congregation of the Hutts. There was great motivation for the other to possibly bring harm to him as retribution. In his eyes, it would be wiser to take him and his Uncle down financially and drive him out of the brothel and nightclub business. Again, it was something would watch closely.

<< I have brought kegs of Idlewil liquors. Enjoy this gift for your hospitality in hosting this great summit. >>

Before the other Hutt could say anything, Harajuba left towards the party and action. Another Hutt was very loud and gyrating on the 'dance' floor already, quite the attention-drawing one. While Hutts loved their opulence, Harajuba himself a fan of the finer things in the galaxy, it was odd to see one bringing such attention to themselves.

More came. More enjoyed the home I carved out for myself. More enjoyed the world that was mine. More would see that the Fath'ara was not crushed into obscurity. More would see what was created through the vulture-like acts of history upon my clan. Each one in order presented gifts to my estate. Gifts to the clan that was nearly exterminated in past ages. No more would the name Fath'ara be scorned. Soon the name will be that of fear and respect.

First was a Lorda from Nal Hutta. The Whoma clan was one mine never had much ties to in history. However, their current ruler seemed to have useful ambition. I would nod to Lord Boht as the next came in. The next was a gift of glitterstim along with an assortment of slaves. It was clear there was more interest in the Besadii Lorda's growth than an outright show of respect. His look towards me and my palace showed that much. He must have assumed I was desperate. A shame though. Such slaves were of little use to me. Servants of flesh proved treacherous too often. The males would be made into workers while the females would be dancers in my hall. At with that, I could make use of this offering. I would return a nod for sake of decency, however.

The next guest to my house was loud. I was unfamiliar with that one's clan, however the lady Hutt who entered my hall made a grand display of her gift. A Zeltron dancer, a single Zeltron dancer. It was small, but I did see merit in the effort of presentation. This one made this gift take attention rather than merely throwing her offering at my seat. I nodded same as the others though. A mere case of decency as a host to not show too much favor. All tribute received the same. Soon after that, another of the Besadii arrived. This one I knew. Lord Jutteth approached me via the holo to arrange this summit. I had the glory as the host. He had the glory as the initiator. "Greetings upon you, Lord Jutteth. I hope all this meeting has gathered enjoy my halls and my world. I do not know if others may have received the call to assemble. However, all present here may rejoice in no outer meddling in our affairs on my world."

"I think, even now, more important Hutts and ambitious Huttlets have assembled here in one place than in the last decades. This meeting could be quite productive and profitable for all of us."

The sonorous, but only moderately loud voice of Brodda resonated in the hall.

"Should we discuss business while we enjoy your lavish hospitality, Lord Keg'rala? Should we perhaps ponder about a communication network we could use to stay in closer contact? The Undervine of the Holonet and/or couriers perhaps?
And most important, who would take the heavy burden of spokesman for our new enterprise? Our host would be a prime candidate, it seems."

Get to the point was the first rule of business. At every second wasted, huge amounts of money would fail to find their way to the crime bosses coffers.

Who was dancing? Oh. Right. Perla’s Zeltron schutta servant sommat or other and ‘gift’. Perla, for her part, remained sitting at her dais sipping her Saki-Star drink. Oh. Right. She had a crate on either side. One had gifts in it and she hadn’t exactly forgotten to give it but she just wasn’t interested in it at the moment. Then again, she wasn’t your average Hutt to begin with. She was a bit different. Maybe it had something to do with being raised in a lab or a tank or somethin’.

As Zeltron idiot danced for her audience, Perla watched her, not in the slightest bit ‘interested’ so much as making sure she didn’t kriff up. As the music shifted, with lyrics, the Hutt broke into a bit of a jig, bopping her shoulders.

“I got no palace,” Perla the Hutt interjected but didn’t much interrupt. She also didn’t look away from the Zeltron lady. “‘Cept my palace on wheels, kyeh.” Rubbed her chin. “Kyummm more like palace with wings? Wait wait it doesn’t HAVE wings. KYAHA!”

“Correct, Your Excellence,” her dumb Muun interrupted. “Your splendid, exquisite, excellent ship utilizes its engines with—”

-WHACK!-

Hutt’s backhand and Muun fell back at that.

“The Sable Chariot is my floating casino. As grand and lavish as your palace is, Lord Keg’rala,” recognition given where it exists. Perla wasn’t that big of an idiot, all things considered. “It can’t move. Mine can. We can use that. I can travel the galaxy making connections where I—we—please. Profits made are profits gifted. Kyeehee.”

Perla grinned, pinching thumb and forefinger together with a rub.

“I said DANCE you SLUG!” She looked left, looked right. “The Zeltron harlot that is. Not you Hutts. Kyeheh!”

Kloshi grumbled as she made her way from the starport to Keg’rala’s palace. She just knew that others would be there and already starting this meeting when she arrived. Making an entrance was the most despised thing that Kloshi could do in a meeting of Hutt powers. She had been given the name “the Weak” for being on the small side. Her many attempts to augment her size had not done much to make her look more Hutt-like. It was the opposite actually, her surgical endeavors resulted in her looking more mammalian with a waistline and enlarged breasts. It was hideous to Kloshi, and she hated anything that brought attention to her.

Some Hutts enjoyed having servants carry them on caravans. Since Kloshi would not require many servants so she chose to ride a repulsor couch It showed her place as a technology and information specialist within the Hutt society, and there was no way to know how much power was being used to keep her aloft as she was moved from here to there. Alongside her couch was her majordomo Raa Jan Raa Jan and her lead enforcer Lichix Taroq Lichix Taroq . The latter having rejoined Kloshi’s organization after the fall of the Eternal Empire saw Rattatak become the domain of the Galactic Alliance. Kloshi felt more secure being out in the open now that the bald woman was keeping things in check.

When the trio arrived at the palace of Keg’rala, they were escorted to the throne by another striking Togruta. Once in the presence of the other Hutts, Kloshi was happy to see there was a dancing Zelron and another feminine Hutt that seemed to be making a bit of a scene that Kloshi hoped would cover her entrance just a bit. ”Toogi, ma footoo Lorda. Dobrah alay. Dobrah Kloshi du Desilijic Pargg. Jee-jee bolla ateema” There was no apology for being late. That didn’t exist for the Hutts. She was merely announcing that she had been late and that they could start now that she had arrived. Her brother Gula the Hutt Gula the Hutt would come if and when he wished. If not she would bring news to him to act on behalf of the Pargg.

Brodda of the Besadii did something I did not think would happen. The Lorda encouraged us to get straight to business. To be truthful, I found that a relief. The less pleasantries that required me to be the center of attention, the better. There was a reason I hated such a status. Every time the Fath'ara became the center of attention after the disgraced death of Voontara, the others were quick to strike in the pursuit of annihilation. We had to hide. Ruling Nar Vaadu was the most out in the open a Fath'ara has been in centuries, yet this world was forgotten by many in Hutt Space. My takeover was ignored. It was not flashy Nar Shaddaa, no resource rich Quesh or Kessel, and certainly no cultural symbol like Nal Hutta. It was a trash heap meant to be ignored. It was right for the Fath'ara.

I would nod in acknowledgement of the Besadii Lorda. Another outburst came from the one Lady Lorda who brought in the Zeltron. However, it seemed somewhat useful. Through the somewhat eccentric ramblings, it was clear she meant to say what she was bringing to this summit. She seemed to pride herself on mobile opulence. Such a state was easy for one who would have not been hunted for ancestral wrongdoings. I would still give a polite nod of acknowledgement to her words, as a compliment of my palace was placed amidst her address. However, I did not quite know of if she noticed due to her renewed interest in the Zeltron's performance again.

My periphery caught the entrance of a strange sight, however. A smaller one of our kind. Far different in form. The smaller stature must have allowed this one to sneak in to this meeting. Then, this new attendee spoke. Another Lady Lorda was in attendance. As she spoke, I found myself perplexed and intrigued. I then realized this was a Lorda of the Desilijic. Which bloodline was unclear, but I was no fool to not heed the potential power that came from one of the most powerful names of our people in recent history. I would nod to her words, though was slow to turn my gaze away. As one of an outlier clan, one of outlying physique made schemes in my mind begin to spin.

"Then we shall press on to business", I spoke in our people's tongue, "What the Lorda of the Besadii Tai suggests is good. We certainly should let this meeting conclude with us all in cohorts with each other. Our clans losing touch with one another left us disconnected and vulnerable to outside intervention. The fall of our power is shameful at best." I would look around once more, scanning reactions. "While I do host this first meeting, I do not seek leadership of our resurgence. The Lorda of Besadii Koragga has proven hunger for that ambition. He extended the hand of peace to the Fath'ara, and I accepted. My home was only chosen as those who seek our destruction hardly know about and care for it. Our gathering here would be guaranteed to stay known only to those in our halls." I looked over to Lorda Jutteth. The first to not immediately make effort for my clan's destruction. With that, I looked to establish that I would remember that act of his. Then my gaze darted between the different Lordas present, with the last being the Desilijic Lorda who entered mere minutes ago.

Mingling with the crowd, Harajuba was busy wolfing down as many snacks as possible. There was a wide display of refreshments, all of the best variety and highest quality. While others were busy plotting their next grand scheme, Harajuba was going to get his credits worth for coming out so far.

Only one thing gave him pause ; the beautiful vision that was Kloshi Kloshi the Hutt. Harajuba had never seen a female Hutt of such splendor.

He stopped eating, which was quite a feat, and stared at the new arrival.

...Gi Shatta Gasha...

Harajuba put down his food, plotting on how he was going to make his best approach.
