- Fitted with temperature control modules, the X-1 Subdermal Armor is capable of heating up, or cooling down its owner based on the environment, and owner species.
- Several injector ports are spread throughout the armor, allowing necessary injections to take place (Medicine etc), these only open with owner consent, and serve as a defense against poisonous injections.
- Due to a lack of electrical components, excluding the temperature control modules, the armor is immune to ion weaponry, and other EMP related attacks. With only the temp control modules being effected.
- Shock Absorber: Acting in a similar way to Plastoid armor, the X-1 Subdermal Armor is highly efficient at spreading out the impact of kinetic weaponry, slugthrowers, blaster fire, vibroblades, and other blunt force, such as a nearby explosion that could be applied to it. Knocking the owner down perhaps, but saving them from the worst of the impact, and in the case of explosions, preventing their organs from being thrown around like mush.
- Strong: Able to withstand direct blaster fire and vibroblades at close quarters. The X-1 Subdermal Armor is battlefield-certified, and will not allow attacks to penetrate its surface easily. Though maybe vulnerable to stronger weapons in an active warzone, for daily life, and civilian ongoing, it is a mugger's, or assassin's worst nightmare.
- Flexible: Comfortable, lightweight, and barely noticeable. It is designed with ergonomics in mind, and will not prove any form of burden on an owner's life, or impede their movement.
- Low Maintenance: Unless it is noticeably damaged during an attack, the subdermal armor requires zero maintenance and is known for its reliability.
WEAKNESSES
- Expensive: More costly than an ordinary set of armor, due to the unique composite and weaving properties of it. This is further added onto by the large cost of the surgery required to install it, these costs make it quite difficult for the average citizen to purchase. And limits it generally to those who very much require it for their work, or protection.
- Process: Requiring a somewhat lengthy surgery in-order to implant the armor under the skin of the owner's entire body, and with this surgery requiring a sign-up process, wait, and scheduling in a specific, specialized facility. It is quite a long, and irritating process to acquire the subdermal armor.
Developed as a joint-project between Fukashi Electric, and Nakaioma Medical, the Hyōhi X-1 Subdermal Armor was fought over between the two corporations for a number of months, before an intervention by NAKAIOMA led to it being assigned to Fukashi Electric's cybernetics division, citing that it would be best for the conglomerate's cybernetic products to be 'on the same shelf'. Implanted into a customer's body via an extensive surgery in one of Nakaioma Medical's specialized facilities, but performed by Fukashi CyberDocs, the armor is placed underneath the skin of their entire body, with the materials of the armor allowing sufficient flexibility, and continuation of blood supply, and other necessary proteins to the skin. Highly adjustable, it can stretch, and shrink, and keep pace with changes to the customer's height, weight, and age, as these things naturally change, able to stay within a safe customer's body unchanged for decades.
Purely meant for protection of the owner's body, and internal organs, the X-1 Subdermal does not provide the owner with any enhancements, like other products in Fukashi's line might do. Although it is somewhat modular, allowing specific customizations to be made with other products. If in the event it encounters a weapon it is ill-suited to handle, damages to the armor do not endanger the owner's life, as part of Fukashi's "bio-conscious" mindset when it comes to the development of body modifications, meaning if a part of the armor breaks, the material from this break will not prove hazardous, only the actual weapon used to break the armor will. If a customer desires to remove their subdermal armor, it is easy for the corporation's cyberdocs to remove, although the surgery will be as costly as it was to insert it. No scars will remain from either surgery. An important factor to consider for many of the product's more famous buyers.
