The Golden Rule
Intent: To create an electronic protection system to ensure the reliable operation of Kiribian droid forces.
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Kiribian Systems Armory
Model: Hydra, version 1.0
Affiliation: Kiribian Systems Union, Galactic Republic, Allies
Modularity: Yes, modifications can be made to the software.
Production: Production: Mass Production
Material: N/A (Software)
Description:
With the Kiribian military's reliance on droids and biots to wage war, it was vital that wireless networks remain intact to ensure smooth coordination. A program, called Hydra, was devised to allow individual units to act as nodes for relaying information in a mesh network, the only requirement being some form of communication array capable of pushing large amounts of data. Mesh networks are useful in instances where jamming is used to prevent long range communications, then information can simply be bounced between units at short ranges via laser line or some other method for successful transmission to the intended recipient(s). Sensor readouts can also be shared between units, so in a scenario where one or more would be "blinded" by dedicated jamming projectors, other units outside the jamming envelope could share their data to still allow tracking and devising accurate fire solutions.
