PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Unknown
  • Affiliation: Open-Market
  • Model: N/A
  • Modularity: No

  • Production: Limited (I want this to be rare without making a numerical restriction, so please comment on my wall if you want to use it (assuming it gets approved). I'll change it to closed market if I think it's becoming too common)
  • Material: sciencey stuff! (I'd make a detailed explanation, but I don't know how midi-chlorians work.)

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Is a powder in it's natural form
  • If it's injected, it will have the strongest effect, likely doubling or even tripling midi-chlorian count
  • If it's inhaled, or smoked, it probably will increase midi-chlorian count by 50-75%
Strengths:
  • Increasing midi-chlorian count
Weaknesses:
  • Tortuous side effects

DESCRIPTION
Hyperchlorine is a very unique substance. No one really knows where it came from and very few know that it exists. You might find a mention in the darkest corners of the Holonet, or from the most unsavory of figures. Some extremely experimenal versions of hyperchlorine in circulation cause instant death, no matter what your intital midi-chlorian count is, but most of it would just cause varying side effects. If you're naturally force sensitve, using hyperchlorine will almost definitely kill you. It's always fatal if it artificially increases someone's midi-chlorian count above 13,000. Varying side effects occur depending on the amount increased and the person.

Amount IncreasedAverage Side Effects
1,000 or lesssemi frequent but mild vomitting, migraines and nausea for up to 3 months after usage
3,000semi frequent but mild vomitting, migraines and nausea for up to 6 months after usage. possibly chronic depression or anxiety
4,500frequent, medium intensity nausea, migraines, and vomitting for up to a year after usage. Chronic mental conditions are common.
6,000frequent, intense nausea, migraines, and vomitting for up to 2 years after usage (possibly longer). Severe mental conditions are common. possibly death.
7,500+death

Also, if the midi-chlorian count is increased above 7,000, a common side effect is items shaking around the person, especially when they're emotional. This can be controlled to a certain extent, but never fully suppressed.

I'm fine with a drug that enables non-force users to use the force while being unusable for those already relatively capable in the force, but I'm not going to approve a drug that essentially enables someone to become the next chosen one. The references to death hold no bearing as the writer of whichever character that ends up using this is the only one who can determine what damage or harm comes to their character.

Simply alter your table so it has no effect beyond the 3-4000 mark, as that's generally where force sensitive people fall under according to legends and canon.

You could use a synthesized bota plant compound for this.
