I Ain't Afraid A No Ghost

Maramere
Haunted Straits

Sophia needed time away from Chroma Zed and all the chaos of the confederacy. What the woman really needed was a vacation from everything. The funny thing was her planet was one which many went to in order to get away however she couldn't exactly do there. Even if Sophia did travel to one of the quieter areas on the planet she wouldn't have peace. They always found her which was why she had to get off planet.

Running a hand through her hair Sophia sighed as walked along the edge of the water. It was rather dead as most were too afraid. It was said to be haunted or something along those lines. Sophia really didn't care; she had fought enough demons in her lifetime and was not scared of any ghosts. Not that she thought it was really haunted in the first place. They were just stories that parents told their children to get them to go to sleep.

Sophia was grateful that ghost stories kept people away because as of right now she wanted nothing more than to just be alone with her own thoughts. There was much in the way to think about when it came to her future and what would be the best for her daughter.

Noah wondered why he even listened to his daughter Melissa. She currently had him running around the Haunted Straits with a holorecorder looking for the supposed ghosts that were supposed to be haunting this area, or so the legends went. "There are a lot of ghost sitings in this area in this area dad, I've got them from credible sources." Even though they had known each for a month, Melissa had taken quickly to calling him dad and him calling her his daughter. "You know that everything you read on the holonet isn't true right?" Noah asked her as they walked. "Oh really? Then whats that?" Melissa called out as she pointed at a woman walking along the beach. "Its called a woman walking on the beach who probably wants to be left alone."

Sophia couldn't help but notice the father/daughter duo with the holocam wandering around. It was a little amusing seeing it but that actually looked like something that she would have done with Izzy. Her daughter would love this place and sometimes she would have to take her here.

Turning she smiled and waved at the duo. There was no need to not be friendly even if she did come here to be alone. Company wasn't always a bad thing.

But as soon as the woman waved their fates were sealed. For the entire month that Noah had known that Melissa was his daughter, she had been trying to set him up on dates, from strangers she met on the street, to even her teachers from the school Noah had enrolled her in. "She's pretty." Melissa said simply as they walked towards the woman. "Mel, try not to embarass me okay?" Noah asked, well more like pleaded with his daughter. "No promises!" Melissa informed her father in a sort of sing-songy voice she knew annoyed him. Once they got close enough, Noah gave the woman a smile. "Hi, I'm Noah and this is my daughter Melissa." Noah informed the woman. Noah felt like he knew this woman though, as a commando, Noah had been taught to distinguish features, double this with the observation skills he had learned as a sniper, and Noah had a near photographic memory.

"It's nice to meet you both," she smiled lightly. It wasn't bad to have company instead of being left to her own thoughts. Sophia right now didn't want to be left to her own thoughts. She could hang out with Noah and his daughter and have some fun if they wanted her to tag along of course. "I'm Sophia. Are you ghost hunting?" She questioned as she turned to the little girl. Sophia had always been good with children. If she wasn't so busy she would spend more time with her own daughter.

"It's nice to meet you too." Noah said with a smile as he adjusted his jacket, feeling a gust come through. When Sophia asked about if they were ghost hunting Noah was about to answer when Melissa answered. "I am, but her is just here to make sure I don't get into any trouble, again." Melissa said as Noah facepalmed. "Well, the last time I left you unsupervised you snuck onto a Protectorate military base and I had to bail you out." Noah said to her, to which Melissa nervously rubbed her head when he mentioned this.

"When I was your age I used to get in a lot of trouble too." Sophia grinned remembering her childhood. "I would sneak on my father's ship and play Captain. His crew would even get in on it too. It's harmless fun and I think you should continue exploring the Protectorate base," she winked at Melissa. Sophia knew that her exploring around was part of the reason she had joined the Navy all those years ago. A little poking around wouldn't hurt anybody.

"I heard there are more ghosts on the island up ahead. You two should really check it out." She doubted that Noah wanted any suggestions on more ghost hunting places but too bad. They were having a family day which was something she wished she could have more of with her little girl.

Then it clicked, the name of the woman who was in front of him, Sophia Walsh, Viceroy of Chroma Zed and a master level force-user. "Sweety why don't you go ahead and look for those ghosts while me and the nice lady have a talk." Noah said to Melissa, who just shrugged and trotted off. Noah then turned to Walsh with a venmous glare. "You have ten seconds to give me a reason other then the fact that your Admiral Walsh's daughter and why I shouldn't arrest you right here." Noah informed her while his hand slid to the OPP-2 blaster pistol on his hip.

"I'm no longer with them. I'm a Jedi Master and I don't mean you or your daughter any harm." Sophia stated putting her hands up to show that she meant no harm. "Honestly your daughter reminds me of mine. I'm only here to relax and think after everything that had happened."

Noah still affixed her with a stare, but let his hand fall to his side and away from his blaster pistol. "I'm glad you came to your senses and left the Feds, from what I've heard you were a pretty good pilot in the Republic." Noah stated and began to walk where Melissa was. "You have a daughter to huh? What's her name?"
