I Am an Arms Dealer

In the wake of the fall of the Sith Empire, the CEO of Czerka Arms thought it high time to begin reaching out to the victor of the Great Sith War: the Galactic Republic. For many months now, the primary income of the reunified corporation had been that of small sales through planetary venders; but now Tyri Lsu sought to solidify his company's position as a contender on the Galactic market. To this end, he had set an appointment with the man in charge himself: Chancellor @[member="Jack Harkness"], so that he might display his newest line of products alongside classics of old in hopes of securing a new business relationship. To this end, the sharply-dressed Echani made his way through the halls of the Senate building on Coruscant, ultimately coming to a halt outside the Chancellor's office momentarily.

There he was checked for the fourth time since entering the building and permitted to enter, flanked by a duo of worker droids which bore in hand large crates which held his newest line of products. Tyri Lsu did not know what sort of man that the Supreme Chancellor was, but the simple fact was: he was a man. And what man did not appreciate the feel of a brand new, finely made slugthrower in their hands? Coming to a halt before the Chancellor's desk, the Echani dipped into a polite bow before addressing the politician in his most formal tone. "Good afternoon Chancellor," he began, righting himself, "I am eternally grateful that you could pencil me into your schedule. I am sure the Republic has you busy as ever these days, so I will do my absolute best to make productive usage of the time you have alloted for this meeting."

He paused, motioning for his droids to step forward. They opened the crates they held, revealing the first portion of the newest line of Czerka Arms products. The CZ-835 Machine Pistol, the CZ-836 Assault Rifle, the CZ-837 Light Machine Gun, and the CZ-838 Sniper Rifle. Each was not loaded and the specialized ammunition laid underneath the weapons themselves. Once the crates were opened, the droids stepped back and stood by the door, hands folded behind their back respectfully. "This is the newest line of slugthrowers produced by Czerka Arms, with each being a strong competitor to its blaster counterpart. As you may know, the scope of my corporation is the production of quality slugthrowers and droids; in addition to flamethrowers, vibroweaponry, and other various forms of small arms."

"My hope is that we might be able to form an agreement through which the Republic Military can be provided with these quality arms you see before you; in addition to whatever armaments they need from our catelog. What say you, good sir?" he began, motioning towards the weapons. "And you are free to inspect the weapons yourself. They are unloaded, of course."

Harkness had to admit... the seller from Czerka did have some charisma which was good and a meeting like this he wasn't about to waste time. More he wanted to make sure his soldiers were safe. Quality weapons and equipment was what they needed and he wasn't going to send his people into fights or out on missions without it. While providing civilian versions as best they could without it being to dangerous. A normal person didn't need an assault rifle in every room. "Yes thank you for your time, I have been looking at what your providing and I must say I am liking it. Blasters might be the standard but a good slug thrower lets you know it hit. The Republic's recently from some dealing gotten a flamethrower unit but we might wish to upgrade as it goes on. Same with some of our droids."

He looked at the list of products and the machine pistol was a nice one. So few forgot about some of the smaller arms but they would also need vibroblades, knives and some specialty weapons. "I am liking this more and more, the Republic would gladly like to bring you in to fill in the gaps Baktoid and Blastech leave. One cannot be to prepared for a fight."

The Echani allowed the beginnings of a proud smile to form upon his face; but never deviated from being the perfect professional. It elated him to hear that the Chancellor straightway had seen the good in his products, and now it was the time to put the icing on the cake so to speak. "I couldn't agree more, Chancellor," he said, following the politician's gaze as he looked over the machine pistol. Reaching into the case, he plucked the handgun into his hand and held it aloft for the Chancellor to hold. Whilst he offered the weapon, he continued speaking. "As I stated before, our slugthrowers are of exceptional quality; and I do not mean to come off hubristic by stating that they are some of the best in the Galaxy. Compared to blasters, the Slugthrowers of Czerka Arms have exceptional piercing power and ammunition to serve every occassion. From armor piercing, to armor eradication, to droid destruction, and even demoralization of enemy troops. Your soldiers would be thoroughly equipped for any situations whilst going into battle armed with one of my slugthrowers."

He paused, taking a confident step closer to the Chancellor. "What's more, I could see you owning one of our Machine Pistols. It's not too large to have in your desk for personal defense; and it's select fire modes allow it to be the perfect companion for any shooter of any experience. Just a thought. Now then." he punctuated his words with the clearing of his throat. "Czerka Arms has produced a number of flamethrowers and flame-projecting firearms over the years, and we would be happy to devise a custom weapon that suits your specification. Furthermore, I'd be more than happy to set the design team to work for a line of droids specifically for the Republic; or even an update in programming for your existing droids." Then, motioning to one of his droids, he was promptly provided with a datapad which he tapped upon with his freehand.

"I have drawn up a basic contract in preparation if our business today goes well. It calls for a 'trial' period of using our armaments. Two crates of each of our guns with enough ammunition to sufficiently serve them, free of charge. Through this, you can test them out in the field or in training to see how your soldiers like them. During this trial period, we can discuss special pricing for bulk orders that are larger than our standard crate size; in the event that you would like for us to provide for large portions of your military forces right away. You are free to place any requests for additional weapons or designs during this time. Trial installments of our existing weaponry will be sent out as well, in the same two crate amount, and a team of designers will be on standby waiting to draw up an answer to your request. Once this trial period ends, which is a span of two months, then we our business agreement will commence in full and Czerka Arms will begin producing bulk orders of slugthrowers for the Galactic Republic; at a discounted price simply because I enjoy serving the paragons of justice and all that is right in the Galaxy."

"So, if all this meets your approval, simply sign on the dotted line and I'll have the crates sent over to the barracks of your choosing with haste, Supreme Chancellor."

Harkness was liking it, more so because in truth... weapons were good to have. We wasn't going to turn down the deal. If anything he would sign and then in six months to a year if it had proven beneficial make a larger deal that was more concrete. "I like it, we'll set you up with a warehouse to bring your stuff in. We'll distribute them among the soldiers and see who likes them while we work on more squads. The droids would be a welcomed thing and" Harkness brought her hand to the stylus and the contract as he looked at it before signing. Then his signature was there while he looked at the man. "I am looking forward to this, the Republic always enjoys its arms and droids."

"Excellent, excellent!" came the elated response of the Echani as the Chancellor signed on the dotted line. With that done, he motioned for the droids to begin closing up the firearm cases, but took a moment to reach down for the machine pistol's case. Flipping over its cushion, he then produced a box that contained one hundred slugs; twenty of each slug type. Tyri then set the box upon the Chancellor's desk and gave the droids the go ahead nod to close up the final box, then faced the man. "I shall begin moving the crates in at once...and go ahead and keep the Machine Pistol; it honestly looks good on you Chancellor. There's one hundred slugs and if you ever need more, just give me a ring. I don't charge friends." he gave the man a warm smile and a friendly pat on the arm before heading for the exit.
