Why you wish to be the Faction Owner:
Firstly, you all know that I have nothing but the best intentions for the faction. From day one, I've done nothing but try and push Republic members (both IC, and OOC) to greater heights. My intentions are to not only elevate the Republic to a far higher standard than the already high standard we have set ourselves, but also to cultivate and encourage the teaching, training, and recruitment of new members, regardless of their skillbase.

You'll also note that I'm the current faction leader, and a generally stubborn person. Why are these things important? Well, let's face it. Those of you that have wound up in debates with me know that I'm not one to bend over backwards and play dead - I intend to take this attitude and use it to ensure that the Republic doesn't get trampled on by those that would see it crushed for their own gain OOC. Again, this is so the faction can prosper and grow as it should be. It also means that I really won't hesitate to put my foot down if anyone is found to be out of line within the faction, which is something you've all seen me do from time to time.

As for me being the current faction leader? I have a very keen awareness of how the innards of the Republic's staff works at this point, as I've been privy to the staff chats and decision making for some time now. Because I know how this ship runs, I also know how to improve it, streamline it, and generally keep the mast from splitting. I have every intention of finding glaring issues with the way decision making is done by the staff and not only make it more efficient, but also more transparent, so that if any member requests information on how a decision was made, the staff will be able to not only present the logs, but the reasoning behind everything, presented to you all in a very clear, very defined, and very easy to digest format.

I also have a few tricks up my sleeve to create a metric kark tonne of roleplay for the Republic, that, for once, won't directly lead us into a war with everything ever. However with that said, I have absolutely no issue with locking horns with anyone who does try to wage war with the Republic.

I could probably go on for pages, and pages as to why I'm an incredibly suitable candidate for the position, so naturally I'm going to stop here to avoid rambling. If anyone (not just the people processing applications) has any questions, then feel free to ask them here, or in a PM, or over skype!

Since I brought this character over to the forums - Pretty much just before Selena was given Grandmaster.

What is one thing about the Galactic Republic you wish to improve?:
Everything and anything that the faction members or staff point out. If there's something that's broken, I'll try to fix it. If there's something that could work better, I'll try to improve it. If there's something that could be implemented to create a more inviting roleplaying environment, I'll implement it. If I have to narrow this down to one thing, I'll be blunt:
I want to improve the Republic's chance of survival in the Galaxy. Every faction has it's ups and downs, and if for any reason we start to take a down, I want to help push everyone right back up to a golden era.

Why you wish to be the Faction Owner:

Number one I have, and always will, hold the Republic very dear to my heart. I was the original owner of the faction, created it, and have been around since its creation. While I was Faction Leader the Republic mostly flourished and the members always had something to do. Real life had to take me away from this site for some time, but now I’m back and I’m thankful that the members of the Republic are just as welcoming as they were before I left.

Your needs as members are always first and foremost in my eyes. I know how to delegate and make things interesting for everyone. Not only do I have knowledge of how to run a faction I am also a former member of staff and am used to the day to day operations of not only the Republic but of the entire board. I know most everyone within the faction and most of you know I am friendly and open to any and all feedback whether through PM, or through Skype, I am always available.

I am fully capable of creating interesting RP for the entire Republic whether through war or peace. I do not run a faction with my own ideals and the Jedi do not dominate the entirety of the faction. In fact, we had an active Senate that helped shape the entire story of the Republic, a military, and the Jedi were in full swing while I was owner.

However, I do not wish to run this by myself, I love seeing members who take initiative and work on their own projects, and I have always been open with that. If you have an idea, wish to implement it, I will always allow it unless it is going to be detrimental to the integrity of the Republic. The old system used to be Master, Knight, Padawan and now we have an in depth ranking system in which you can be a Shadow, Investigator, anything you like. While I was overseeing the project it was completely member compiled and created and then implemented within merely a few days. I am always open to ideas, suggestions, and will implement them without question as long as everyone likes it.

This has never been, nor will it ever be, a my way or the highway type of system. This is a popular faction, controlled by the members, and I would merely be the overseer and my word is not law. If I do something and the member base does not like it, rest assured, it will be re-examined immediately by myself and members of staff. I am not here to be your overlord I am merely here to make sure that you guys are having fun and to be a voice for you. I have always been a voice, a very good one, and I will fight for my members tooth and nail.

How long you have been a member of the Republic:

I have been with the Republic since its creation, I helped to found it, and have been around since then. Though, as I stated above, some RL issues forced me to relinquish my ownership of the faction while I had to take care of other things. It was not a rage quit and nor was I forced out, I simply had to leave due to RL reasons. Those days are gone, everything is fine now, and I have plenty of time to dedicate to you the member.

What is one thing about the Galactic Republic you wish to improve?:

The number one thing I want to improve in the Republic is the level of fun we have. We all know that things can get taken very seriously, and attitudes can get heated, but time and time again I have proven that I always keep my cool and focus on making the members happy. I wish to make being a member of the Republic as fun as it once was. Awards, titles, things to do, anything and everything you guys want I wish to see done here. Above all, this is something we do in our spare time for fun. Some to escape, some to socialize, some just to create a good story, but ultimately we all come here because we like it. I want to see the Republic become the most welcoming faction where characters are created just so they can join in on our threads.

We have the numbers, we have the imaginations, together we can create the hands down best faction on Chaos.
