Private I bid you Eadu

Location: Eadu
The world was an interesting one, it was nearby on her trip to the scar worlds where she was searching for what might have changed or remained from the Byrn'adul attacks some time ago by now. On such a journey, meeting the strange...man, if that's actually a reliable description. She still wasn't totally certain how much of his story was true, she was inclined to believe it. But 'hi, I'm a risen king from the dead who fought the Byrn and left a wound in the force' is hardly the most normal introduction.

Still, it didn't inherently detract from where she was now. She'd landed her ships on Eadu, and taken a gunship with some of her guard with her further into the distance so they could search out some of the caves herself while they went to mapping the area and checking some other spots. This was where a portion of the study on kyber crystals was done. And she was searching for one of such caves, she'd already traveled a distance solo. Her preferred method in these planets. It made it easier in case something was off. If violence started, she didn't have to worry about hitting allies. If it didn't, then there was no need for them to be around for the most part.

Still, the woman wore her armor, even if she kept the helmet off for now, hanging from her belt. Along with her two sabers. She headed to the cave where there was supposed to be kyber crystals. Already beginning to enhance her senses with the force, to make sure she'd be able to see once she began to get into the cave. She knew of the crystals of course, but neither of her weapons used one. Her true battle saber used a lava crystal, and her other had a synthetic. She was most curious if she'd be able to locate one herself, or even feel it. If there was any left behind somehow, or if new ones had grown in the many many years since the time of Palpatines Galactic Empire.

The initial shock and pain had subsided somewhat. Now there was just an aching pain she tried to handle the best she could, as the large boulder pressed down on her ankle. She had tried to reach an opening in the cave when the rock she climbed had come loose and taken her with it back to the cold and hard ground. The anxiety of not being able to get out of the cave, or found by some beast, also rose in the young Shadowrunner having travelled to Eadu in hunt for some Kyber crystals. Rumors had it that the old Empire had not completely emptied the planet before their downfall, and that considerable quantities was still to be found deep within those caves.

The black boots belonging to her otherwise teal and black spacesuit had probably saved her from the worst injury, but it still felt like something was bleeding or was broken beneath the rock. At least, she didn't have to lay there in the rain and heavy winds that was ravaging outside. It wasn't the first time the young Shadowrunner and former salvager had found herself stuck alone, but this time she literally was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Her thoughts was on Cassus Akovin Cassus Akovin , wishing that he were with her.

Suddenly, it was like something pulled her focus from the pain and directed it towards the enterance and the outside world. Something, or someone was approaching the cave and her position. Something clouded by darkness. Something unknown, friend or foe. Brie drew her blaster and tried to turn over in something that at least resembled a lying down shooting position. Because of the boulder and her stuck ankle, she only managed to turn half-way from laying on the back and ended up laying on her side.

As she progressed, she paused slightly. Her enhanced senses giving her forwarning of motion, even a hidden presence, couldn't hide other things. It was why she had taken such interest in the skills. No yuzyang vong, no sith assassin, could hide everything from discovery. If you relied on more than just the presence in the force, you could find them. But she did know it was more than just a jostling, someone was down there. Not some loose rocks.

And so she continued, grabbing her simpler of the two blades from her side. The one that wouldn't scorch the walls around her with blasts of lava, and potentially send a splash of it on whatever person was waiting for her. Whether they were friend or foe, she'd rather start things off without giving them a reason to start a fight. She was very capable of defending herself, but fights were such an irritation. Real fights anyway. A bar brawl was it's own thing, or hunting, hunting was actually pretty nice.

The sith knight continued, weapon in hand, but not yet active. Before she got really in to see where the noise was coming from, she called out, "Not really much of a camping destination." it was meant to be unexpected, but to be fair, she wasn't much for intimidation as an introduction. She picked up a good sized rock, and threw it inside. Not as an attack, but to see what would happen. If the person within was just lost, maybe a scream? If it was some kind of elite droid or soldier, maybe they'd blast it right out of the air thinking it a grenade or enemy. "Wanna have a chat?" the offer came almost regardless of the result.

"Not really much of a camping destination."

Brie gasped at the words coming from the darkness of the cold cavern, and she tried to locate and focus on the direction it came from, but it was pretty much futile because of the echo that followed. A female voice, she could make out. If it was friend of foe was harder to tell. She guessed that her best bet would be to try and evoke some good and empathy from the person behind the voice. She frantically aimed the blaster around and pointed it towards the places the possible threat would come from.

"Wanna have a chat?"

''If... If you would help me, I'd love to have a chat! I'm kind of stuck, my feet hurt... but beware, I do have a blaster!'' Brie explained, but made clear that she did have means to defend herself if attacked. ''Wh-who are you?'' she asked, the question pretty much leaving her lips automatically. Pirates or outlaws was the last thing she would have liked to meet right now. Something made her feel dark and cold, as the presence lingered around. A feeling that was weighted towards someone actually being around and have been around to notice her distress.

Elise sensed the movement, as much as she heard it's. That was definitely a blaster, she didn't go for the kill though, not yet. She didn't feel active danger, but it wasn't far away. Still, she knew she could block a single blaster bolt before it reached her if she had to, and her armor would at least take some of the hit if she couldn't.

The sith knight shook her head smiling, almost chuckling, at the initial response. That's not a response she'd have given, probably anyway. Then again, if she had, she'd have given it cause she could back it up and promised a reward. Not just 'a chat'. Still, the woman was lucky Elise wasn't one of the more brutal of her order. Then she asked who Elise was.

The woman started to move past and further into view, "Best put the blaster down, a fight in here with me means even if you won, you wouldn't even make it out of the cave. Then I'll probably get you out." she assured her with a calm, if slightly warning, tone. "Call me Elise." she offered more friendliness in her voice, as she actually properly stepped out and towards the woman, whether or not she could be seen. "You have any light on you?"

The other woman made an obvious point, right then and there. Brie had been too occupied defending herself from what- or whoever would appear through the shadows. She had neglected the obvious fact that even if she defeated the stranger, she would still be stuck in here. Alone, and not knowing if or when she would have company the next time. A sudden feeling of dumbness struck her like a punch in the face, but she still tried to keep her guard up ready to re-evaluate the situation.

''Y-yeah, I got a light...'' Brie said somewhat reluctantly and uncertain about the other womans intentions. Brie still kept her finger on the trigger, while she reached for her helmet with the other hand and turned on its lamp. The lamp gave them some well needed light on the situation and also throw light on the stranger.

''E-elise...? I- I'm Brie...'' she answered as the other woman was polite enough to offer her name, or at least something that could be her real name. Brie were still on her guard as the woman approached, ready to bring the blaster back up and fire a shot if the woman tried something on her. Somehow though, Brie felt that this older girl would be about as much of a threat as her big sister Ruby Jaxx Ruby Jaxx would be. That could be scary enought, though! If she played her cards right, Brie and this stranger would come along just fine. For now. Of course, the woman were a new face without clear intentions and Brie was far from naive, even though she were young. ''What are you doing here, anyway...?''

Nervousness, an understandable reaction in this situation. If Elise didn't have to live the way she did she'd probably have responded in a rather similar way. At least if she lacked the gift of the force. That gift made all too many situations far less plausible to die from aside from to other force users. Including she figured the one this woman was in.

Elise waited for the light to come on, then provided another smile as 'Brie' introduced herself "Well nice to meet you Brie." she acknowledged starting to move forwards again to look at where she was trapped. She could of course just hurl the rocks out of the way. But that was reckless, she wanted to make sure the woman's foot wasn't in such a position that removing any pressure on it would pose a risk to her health. She was, however, every moment ready for an attack. Even if she placed her saber hilt back on her belt, adding with a warning finger, "Don't touch those."

"Just a ship en route, I'm doing some mapping let's say. But also checking on how planets may have progressed since the Byrn'Adul attacks. Found some things saying kyber crystals have been found here in the past, I was curious if I could find any myself."
She had no need to lie about any of that yet. It was hardly a mission unique to the sith, so it revealed essentially nothing about herself thus not putting her at risk. It also held nothing either jedi nor sith could find sufficient to attack her over, as far as she could tell.

The woman seemed friendly enough. Her smile didn't hide any evil intentions. At least, not as of now. Still, there was something surrounding the woman that Brie couldn't set her finger on and explain. Caution was probably mutual, but it probably wouldn't hurt to be polite back.

Even if she placed her saber hilt back on her belt, adding with a warning finger, "Don't touch those."

Brie recognized a lightsaber when she saw one, as much tales about Jedi Knights in shining armor she had vague memories that her mother used to read for her and she had read about herself in her holobooks. Her gaze were drawn to the devices dangling from the womans belt. ''Y-you're a Jedi...?'' The question was unavoidable and left the young Shadowrunners mouth pretty much automatically. ''Heh, I'd probably just hurt myself if I tried to use those...!'' Brie added with a chuckle, trying to add some humor to the otherwise painful situation with her foot under the rock and being approached by a stranger with lightsabers.

She listened to the womans explanation, realizing that they were searching for the same thing - kyber crystals. It was a rare crystal, but it could be found on various planets across the galaxy. Brie felt very grateful that the woman had decided to search Eadu at the same time as herself, be it luck or faith or whatever.

''Byrn'Adul? I tried to stay as far away as possible during that mess...'' Brie continued, not without second thoughts doing what the other woman had done, and holstered her blaster and braced herself up on the elbows. ''We didn't feel much of that on Denon... Well, that's where I live now...'' she said with a slight grunt from the pain of the rock pressing on her foot. Gosh, she would give all her credits to be back on Wielu!

Elise barely managed to prevent herself from snorting at being called a jedi, she considered telling the truth, but that would likely be a waste of time for the moment. Best just leave it for later, after all, she could just tell the truth when they departed. She didn't feel like having to deal with an immediate fight, so, she went with a rounda-bout way of getting around it. One untruth, and one she actually believed. "Not anymore." she said with a shrug, "Too narrow a view."

She returned the chuckle at Brie potentially hurting herself trying to use it, "Probably. Mine are a bit more volatile than most, you need to be properly connected to them, or be actively using precognition with it in mind, to avoid getting yourself hurt. Not that a normal saber is easy either." she agreed. Then taking in a breath as she believed she found the best way to move it, digging her hands under the stone and using the force to help her lift and shove it safely to the side when Brie finished speaking.

"Yeah they didn't seem to be the party type." Elise added sarcastically, "Sometimes I do wander how I'd fight against their betters but I never was fond of war. I prefer to keep things simple."

She held out a hand to help her up if she looked to be trying to get on her feet, "Careful how you move it, how's it feel? I have a lot of familiarity with having my own bones broken or muscles strained."

Of course, a jedi might too. But that wasn't why Elise did. Force Rage was her specialty, or at least, her version of it. But it could sometimes push the body well beyond it's limits, and sacrifice the endurance the force could offer, for moments of sheer violent power. When she first began practicing the ability, she had plenty of purely self inflicted injuries.

Brie could just stare down at the boulder sitting there, afraid that it had broken her foot or worse, and the woman digging her hands under it to begin to move it. She grit her teeth and braced herself when this Elise begun to lift. She could not keep herself from shutting her eyes close, not wanting to see the potential mess underneath. To her surprise though, the pain did not rise that much when she witnessed one of her first ever seen Force tricks.

"Careful how you move it, how's it feel? I have a lot of familiarity with having my own bones broken or muscles strained."

''I... I think it's-'' Brie started to say, but instantly needed to force herself to hold back a squeal of pain as she tried to move it. ''No! It's not okay!'' she clarified as if it wasn't clear enough. She could move it, but it hurt too much to run or even walk in a hurry on. Brie raised her hand to her helmet and opened the visor, desperately taking some big breaths of the fresh air.

''It might just be a sprain, or something... I hope...'' Brie tried to be positive in all of this. With an injured foot at one of the most desolate and harsh planets in the Outer Rim, and with a woman who was a force-user of unknown or at least unconfirmed allegiance, it was a pretty strong and brave approach. As far as she knew, The CorpSec didn't hire any force-users to do their dirty work. That, along with the womans quite open and friendly demeanor, gave the young Shadowrunner enough well-needed comfort. It was a good thing that the woman wasn't fond of war, too!

''Thank you...'' Brie expressed her deepest gratitudes, as she looked up at the woman and then down at the foot again. ''Stars, I feel so dumb... You don't happen to have a medkit with you...?'' she said, hoping the woman did carry one with her, or even something better considering she were- had been a Jedi? ''It's very nice to meet you too, by the way! Luck or whatever you believe in, who knows for how long I'd been stuck here if you didn't come by?''

Brie didn't know what she believed in this situation. Luck seemed very unlikely considering the amount of caves there was on Eadu, and that Elise had picked the right planet, too! There was other things in this galaxy that could give a potential explanation, but that was thoughts that would have to wait for later.

Elise watched her cautiously, her ears especially attentive for cracking sounds. Or possibly worse, popping. She did not however need that enhancement, to hear the squeal and gave her a sympathetic grimace. For an instant in her mind she imagine some instructor saying how unsithlike that might be, and that such a tactic should only be used as a form of manipulation. Which, of course, it feasibly could be here. But the tactic she doubted would get the girl anything else other than some very minor medical supplies. She was not really that overly concerned, it was just a foot, and it was still attached. So it should be fixable with proper care, it would just hurt.

The sith knight squatted down by the foot looking it over, and giving her a raised brow at the suggestion it was probably just a sprain, and a slight smirk, "Is that usually the noise you make for a sprain?" before standing up again and thinking, just giving her another nod and smile for the thanks, then grimacing at the issue of a medkit. The answer was, of course, technically yes. But not on her. On her ship, and that meant either bringing the girl out there, or getting the guards to get one in.

While she was thinking on that Brie spoke again and Elise laughed,
"No kidding. And nice to meet you too, but yeah...good reason to keep at least a little company. The force is usually enough but, at least in this case I think we're good." she held up a finger, "Speaking of, gimme a sec. No med kit on me but I can get one in I'm sure."

She, checked her helmet using it to open comms, and giving a slightly guilty look when the reply came back more audibly as she hadn't put the helmet fully on, "Lady Elise? Is something wrong?" The voice, despite it's confusion, was fairly militaristic and formal, and she gave a bit of an irritated sigh before cheering up again and answering, "Nothing dangerous, for me at least. But I found someone injured, we're going to need a med kit at least. Bring it to the cave I went to."

"Right away, medkit will be incoming." came the confirmation, already shuffling could be heard before the audio was cut out. Elise gave her a shrug, "People love their formality. Someone will be on the way soon and we can try and at least treat it a little before you move it more."

Jig was going to be up soon of course. Either via questioning, or because if the guards showed up, they'd be rather obvious. But what was the girl really going to do about it? Unless she had filled herself with explosives for some reason, Elise doubted she could do much damage on her own. Especially right now. Not like it mattered, Elise wasn't ashamed, she just didn't feel like dealing with the hassle.

Brie relaxed her foot again somewhat, resting it on the ground, and gave the woman a raised eyebrow back. ''Sorry I'm trying to think positive!'' Brie uttered, just slightly anoyed with the other womans more serious approach to the matter. It could be a lot worse than Brie tried to tell herself, but it always felt better to try and tell yourself that everything was about just fine.

She, checked her helmet using it to open comms, and giving a slightly guilty look when the reply came back more audibly as she hadn't put the helmet fully on, "Lady Elise? Is something wrong?"

While the woman had denied to be a Jedi, the title of Lady came back as odd. She could be a royalty of some sort, but a royalty with lightsabers? Brie didn't want to focus her energy on that. She was just happy that the woman seemed friendly and offered her assistance. The woman was kind of reminicent of Ruby Jaxx Ruby Jaxx , her big sister, but with sharper features.

''So, uhh... Elise... What brings you to Eadu...?'' Brie asked, figuring they should have something to talk about while they waited for the medkit. ''If I'd have to guess... you'd be here for the same as I am... You could have it all, though! I won't be in your way!'' she continued, and assured the woman that if it was like she thought, she would be perfectly happy if the woman would heal her and help her off the planet.
