I Can't Drown My Demons, They Know How to Swim {Serana}

Finally the beast was free. Once more her mind was her own, she could make her own decisions. Though her body was still a monstrous mess... that did not matter. She was no longer filled with Rage. Now she was pledged to Ventasia Terana. The two were practically engaged. Of course... being with her could get a little frustrating at times. After everything that had happened, the lass was understandably possessive at times. Still, Ven'Rain had to take her breaks. This was one of those. Enjoying her freedom meant mainly one thing for her: Drinking. So here she was, at a 'lil pub on the corner of the street. Place was pretty quiet. Nothing much going on. Just some small groups laughing or playing cards, along with some... exotic dancers towards the back. Not that Ven paid them any mind. She felt like even looking at them would be betraying Tasia. And that was something she couldn't do again.

The Shadow's Sister
Serana was back. Her self imposed exile was spent planning and calculating her next move. The last time she did anything big it was leaving the Bluehawks after her insidious brother, now known as Shadow, betrayed them. She was disgusted with him and with the entire situation. Really the stress forced her out. She only had one thing on her mind: revenge. She wanted to destroy the monster she called family. Last she heard he was on Coruscant, searching for their ever more sinister father. She would wait to confront him, wait until the time was right.

For now she was just looking around the galaxy, learning what had changed in the years since she left. She was now a trained killer, no long a little girl trying to make her way around. For the last several days she had taken some big contracts and delivered. And where did her new credits take her? The bar. If there was one thing she and her brother shared it was their taste in credit spending.

Walking into the small bar she gave a quick glance around. It was like any other bar. Some good music was being played and some good dancers were in the back. Most tables were filled with gamblers or other bounty hunters sharing stories of their exploits. She just moved right to the bar counter. Before she even sat down, a familiar face caught her eye.

Ven'Rain Sekairo was a former... friend. The two had some chemistry but it was obvious things wouldn't work. Or that's what Serana told herself. Truthfully she wanted things to work but, based on her family tree, it seemed that wasn't going to happen.

She smirked and walked up behind her old friend. She quietly leaned in and whispered, "Guess who is back from the dead?" Leaning out she was ready for either a slap, a kiss, or maybe both.

That voice... it... It was. Quickly the mad merc turned and stood, looking down at her former... lover. Wow, she really had a lot of those these days, didn't she? But now the changes she had undergone would be apparent. What sort of changes? Well... she had died, for one. Then was brought back in an 8.5 feet tall Sithspawn body. Grew horns, had the tops cut off in a fight with some Jedi. What else?... Oh yeah... Torture. Lots of new scars. As well as a new haircut and strange, black & yellow eyes. Weird, right? The fact that she had been recognized at all was... well, astounding. Had Serana just... known? Probably. "What the-... What? I thought- but you- since when- how did you...? Just... what?" Ven blinked a few dozen times to make sure she wasn't seeing things. Turned out she really was looking at her old friend. How... surprising. "Serana... it's... it's been years... I... I don't know what to say." And that was true. Was the lass expecting a hug? A kiss? Both? Or a slap? She really wasn't sure. So much had happened since their last meeting... To much to say in over one drink.
They were gonna need a few bottles.

Serana chuckled slightly and sat beside her. "It's me." She confirmed this with a light smile and a nod. She defiantly. didn't look the same. Serana had two new scars, one on her chin and a large one that stretched most of her forehead. Her hair was also different; she dyed it a bright blonde, after her mother's hair, to hide from her past enemies.

Her voice was still light, however it was slightly more commanding this time around. Her lighter armor was now replaced with a heavier armor made up from various armors, some of it was sturdy Mandalorian Steel while other pieces were pure scrap. The only weapon on her was her old blaster, which was still in good condition.

It was strange, being there with Rain. She had read up on some of the things her old allies and friends, like Rain, had done when she left. She felt bad. "I read up on some of the things you went through," Serana said. As she did she raised her head, letting the tender know she was ready for a drink. As he set it down she stared into it and slightly shook her head. "Sorry," she whispered with a sigh. She started downing her drink and waited for Rain to reply.

Damn right it was her. There wasn't anyone else it could be. Honestly though... Ven was surprised she knew who the woman in front of her was. When she was reborn, she lost most of her memories. Seeing Serana brought a few back. In the end she was just more confused than she had been before... "Doubt you even heard half of it. Most of the information on me is classified. Not that I remember any of it." Ven scoffed, shaking her head as she took a swig of her drink. Somehow the burn calmed her down. "I died. By the way. Got a funeral and everything. Might of read that. Though if you did... not sure how you would've realized I'm alive again. That's 'classified' as well." Another gulp of whiskey was downed. "Vong. Yup. Made a Sithspawn warrior. Forced my soul into it. Broke my mind, stole my emotions. Put me outside to kill. And I did. Everything I saw I killed. But I got it back... My mind, that is. Now... I'm not sure what I'm doing now. Just existing I guess." She threw in a shrug for good effort. But she couldn't help but realize how bad of a socialite she was being.
Talking was never her strong point.

Serana nodded. She took another gulp of her drink. She did feel bad for Ven and the way things worked out between them. Ven was the only person who she really had feelings for. Well Miles was there, but he was long gone... "I'm sorry," Serana started just before taking one last gulp. "I myself have been in some troubled states since we last met."

Serana raised her glass and the bartender approached to refill her. "Everything about my past, all the dark things I hide away, broke out and tried to destroy me. So I embraced them," Serana explained. It hurt talking about it a little. She was a soldier, a warrior who was forced from birth to fight until the bitter end. That meant talking about her feelings was something she had a hard time doing. "Darren betrayed me. I plan on getting my revenge."

Revenge? Now that was something that caught her attention. Something she'd help with, if given the chance. "Darren... I heard something about him being alive again. Seems like no one stays dead these days. I'd be willing to help you get him. If he really did hurt my little darling," Ven joked, giving Serana a grin and pat on the back. It would hopefully be enough to lighten the mood. "Seriously though, I wouldn't mind helping ya. The... the new girlfriend 'n me are looking for someone anyway. Could look for Darren as well. Even assist in taking him down. If ya want, of course." After all the wrong she had done, it would feel good to do some good for once. Especially if it helped out a friend.
