I don't know why, but I'm here again... (Amber)

Kerrel Di Marzullo, heir to the throne of pretty much everything in the galaxy, was reveling in the early hours of the Corellian morning, smiling drunkenly at the man who'd just punched him in the jaw. With a loud click emanating from his knuckles, and a chuckle, the uber-hybrid princeling returned the attack, punching the man in the gut, hard enough to knock him over a table. With a grunt, his assailant got back up, attempting to put a hole in his gut with a blaster.

With an almost contemptuous wave, the runaway royal knocked the blaster from his opponent's hand, laughing even harder at the incredulous look on the man's face. The look broke, along with the man's nose, when Kerrel smashed a hard-heeled leather boot into his face. With a sigh, he fixed the cuffs of his shirt, dropped a large pile of cred sticks on the bar, and gestured to the Rodian bartender to give the man a few pints when he woke up.

With a sweep of his arm, his jacket flew through the air to his hand, and he pulled it on. His huge, furry, companion, Winter, loped out of the bar after him, panting happily. And the two of them stood outside, as Kerrel scanned the nearby buildings for another fun-looking watering hole to visit.

Amber was working a late shift at a bar in Corellia, just another place to earn a few creds. She was wearing the standard uniform, a particularly revealing skirt and tank top that was too small. Sighing, she placed the customer's food on the table and walked back to the bar. Her shift was almost over and she wanted to do something fun. But what? She had no clue but soon she'd find out

Winter barked happily, and bolted off like a furry streak of lightning, leaving his master to chase after him, until the large canine sat down in front of another bar. He'd turned his huge, pleading, eyes on some hapless waitress, and Kerrel sighed heavily. This was gonna be one of those days, wasn't it? He grinned apologetically at the woman, and ruffled the fur on his dog's head.

"I'm sorry about him. Don't give him anything, either. You wouldn't know it, but the big fuzzball just ate."

Amber looked over at the man and his dog. Oh, she loved dogs. She was on the clock but she didn't really care. Leaning over to pet the dog, she said "Don't worry, I love dogs." Then her boss began walking towards them. She didn't notice as she petted the dog. It wasn't until too late that she noticed her boss behind her. She began to apologize to him when he sent his hand straight across her face, She stepped back in shock, grabbing her face.

Kerrel watched in amusement as the woman smiled at Winter, and began petting the furry beggar's head. He was glad his friend was happy, at least, as he got a look at the woman petting him. She was gorgeous, but it seemed like she might have been a slave or something, since she was dressed a bit like one, in clothes that seemed too small and cut short. A tiny bit of revulsion grew in him. Slavery was horrible. And as if that wasn't enough, his little brother enjoyed having female slaves around. That was enough to make him want to free everybody he found so bonded.

His revulsion grew even more when a man came out and slapped the woman across the face. With one hand, he created a weak barrier to keep her from falling, and he flicked his other wrist angrily, sending the man flying into the wall. Kerrel dropped him to the ground, and bent down to look in his face.

"Go ahead and do that again. You'll get worse than tossed around."

Kerrel walked back to the woman, hearing a few groans as Winter stepped on the man to get over to them. With a sigh, the runaway princeling looked at the red blotch on her face. He smiled sadly at her.

"Are you okay? He hit you kinda hard."

Amber could barely see already in this dimly lit trash heap, but now it was even harder. But she didn't mention it. "Yeah I'm okay. Just hurts." She then turned to the owner and promptly kicked him in the nuts, yelling "I quit!" She stormed out the door into the night, hoping that her new friend would follow. Bumping into a street lamp, she reached out for something to grab onto. At night, her vision was practically zero and she failed to account for that when she stormed out.

Watching as the woman crashed into a street lamp, Kerrel sighed and put his hand out to make another Force barrier for her to fall back on. With a small smile, he walked over and put the hand she was using to search for a solid object on his shoulder. With a quick whistle, he set Winter in front of them as a sort of guide, albeit the sort that chased every small animal in visual range.

"Winter can see better than we can..."

He reconsidered this statement when the dog knocked over a trash container in his quest to chase the little fluffy-tailed rodent on it.

"... Dunno how much better, though. Anyway, you want me to walk you home?"

As she reached out, Amber gripped a man's shoulder. "Thanks again" she said before moving closer and putting an arm around his waist for more stability. "I have a ship, if you could walk me there" she said softly, carefully placing a foot forward. "Sorry about all of this" she said, realizing it might be a bit of a hassle to the man to have to walk her home

Kerrel almost laughed at the apology the pretty woman made to him. Of course, she hadn't seen what the runaway prince had been doing less than ten minutes before that... Possibly just as well, since he didn't think she'd be very impressed with more barfights than she already had to deal with as a waitress.

"S'no problem at all. I wasn't doing anything much, anyway. Just wreaking a tiny bit of havoc in another bar up the road. You're slightly better company than the guy trying to steal my drink earlier."

Amber smiled as she walked with him, making their way to where her ship was located. She had it parked in a hanger which was close, so they got there fairly quickly. She typed in a code too quickly for Kerrel to see. You never know who to trust. But she had a feeling she could trust him. "Wanna come inside for a bit?" she asked nervously. Her voice wavered as she wondered what he would do

Kerrel heard the woman's voice waver, and smiled gently. After turning the idea over in his head for a bit, he shook his head. He might have been an exile by choice, and a fugitive from the One Sith as well, but he was still a Zambrano. Distrust came too easily to him. But instead of saying anything in explanation, he smiled even wider.

"Why don't I stroll around for a bit with Winter while you change? We'll go somewhere nice."

Amber smiled when he offered to go somewhere nice. "Ok I'll be out in a minute" she said before going in and shutting the door. She quickly changed into a leopard print shirt and a skirt and then put some lipstick and other makeup on. For her, this was quick. But it was about 15 minutes in actuality. She hoped that she hadn't made him wait too long and went over to open the door. She shoved her holdout pistol in her boot before opening the door

Kerrel smiled at the woman when she came down the ramp. It was kind of funny, seeing how she'd dressed up. Sort of gratifying to go out with somebody not dolled up like a holo-star, or at least looking good without all the insane things he'd seen in the palace. Of course he hadn't gone anywhere. Not when he'd actually walked her here.

"You know anywhere good? When I said "nice", I just meant nobody actually tries to grope the waitresses. Though there's one place... never mind. Good music, crappy food."

The idea that somebody might take exception at Winter's presence didn't bother him. A cold look of the right volume could do wonders. So could the surname of a king, but he didn't want to go there. Not tonight.

Hmm. It was hard to find a decent place to eat in places like this but Amber thought of one that wouldn't be bad. "Sure, follow me" she said as she walked past him and tripped, catching herself before she fell. "Never mind" she said as she grabbed Kerrel's hand to keep her from falling. "It's on the far side of town" she said as she looked at him, or where she thought he was. Fething hapan bloodline made it so hard to see in the dark and made her scared of it, but there's no way she'd admit that.

Kerrel's smile grew wider when the woman grabbed his hand for balance. He sensed a tiny bit of annoyance - or maybe anxiety - with something that was going on, but he couldn't say what. With a squeeze of her hand, he looped her arm through his and looked at her with a small bit of sympathy. Sure, he was a hybrid of a million things, but that didn't help much in the pitch-black of the Corellian night. The thought struck him that he hadn't even introduced himself before dragging this poor girl off to some place she might not even want to go to.

"If you'd rather not walk there, we can sit around here. No reason to make you lead me anywhere."

He flinched as Winter barreled into something metallic, sending the screeching voice of an angry alien up the street. The exiled prince sighed, and looked back at the woman.

"Name's Kerrel, by the way. Forgot to introduce myself."

[member="Amber Zahir"]

Amber blushed when she realized that she didn't know the man's name. "Oh my gosh, I forgot to ask!" she said as her face went red with embarrassment. "Name's Amber" she said and paused. "Amber Zahir." She really didn't want to go searching for some restaurant when she couldn't even see, so she decided to stay. "I'm fine with staying if you are. I can't see anything anyways." Perhaps this was a chance to get to know this stranger, she thought as she searched for a place to sit.

Kerrel laughed at the woman - Amber - as he could feel her blush rather than seeing it. But the fact that neither of them could see was something he could take care of. He whistled, and Winter ran up to stare at them with his huge eyes. With a crooked grin, the exiled prince looked down at the dog and mouthed 'bench'. The furry white blur shot off and leapt onto what looked like a fuzzy outline hovering a foot in the air. Kerrel guided himself and Amber down to the bench, which was now mostly taken up by Winter's bulk. The dog made a face almost like a smile, and nudged his owner towards the edge of the bench, and towards Amber.

Smiling, he ruffled the dog's hair, and turned back to the woman still at his arm.

"Well, this is a good as we're gonna get for now. Especially since Winter's the only one who can see a damn thing."

[member="Amber Zahir"]

When she was lead to the bench, Amber slowly lowered herself onto it. If Kerrel thought he couldn't see, Amber was completely blind. She scooted closer to Kerrel and placed her hand on his. "This is good enough for me" she said, looking to where she thought he was. Her heart started beating faster as she leaned towards him for a kiss, hoping she was pointed in the right direction. Hopefully this wasn't too soon for kerrel

Kerrel smiled at Amber's hand on his, and saw her shoulder as she turned and leaned a bit away from him. With a pleasant shock, he realized that she was trying to kiss him, but couldn't seem to find where he was. His arm went out around her, and his other hand gently went on the beautiful woman's cheek to turn her head the right way. He leaned in and kissed her on the mouth. He didn't pull away, and his voice dropped to a whisper.

"I'm over here, Amber."
