Private I Don't Know You

Everything had gone wrong. Everything she'd done to help the Korriban invasion. Where she nearly died. Fell into a chasm and dealt with a Jedi master. Gotten eaten by zombies. There was so much bad. And all for nothing. When Alina finally made her way back to the surface she saw a sight that had her heart fall. Korriban was lost. The only ships in the sky were Jedi. They weren't staying, but there was no Sith that she could see. No way for her to get off world, or get safe. The frustration bubbled over all at once. She was helpless. If she wasn't maybe she could have changed the outcome.

But she needed to keep moving. If the Jedi found her, well. She was in no condition to try and fight her way out. She gripped her shoulder and stumbled forward a step. Maybe she could find a ship somewhere. Maybe.

"Ship Exited Hyperspace"

Kesran looked out from his HWK-1000. He immediately saw Alliance ships, and a lot of them. He soon feared the worst. He tried to patch into comms, but found nothing. Then he tried any Sith channel, nothing, nothing, wait! "This is Captain Jurgens of the Gargantuan, KORRIBAN IS LOST, I REPEAT KORRIBAN IS LOST, Command has ordered a full retreat, I repeat full retreat!" Kesran looked out towards Korriban and saw Sith starfighters being shot down, cruisers being destroyed, and he could see many explosions down on the planet. Moments later, the last Sith-Imperial ships had either retreated or were destroyed. Kesran thought to himself and might have even said out loud, "No......no........how could this happen?" He felt anger. He had just been added to the Sith Empire, been told of its greatness so much by many, and now he watched the birthplace of the Sith fall. He felt anger and hatred, but that subsided for now when he saw his droid, R4, look at him. "Sorry buddy, I just didn't think this would be how I saw Korriban for the first time". "Droid beeps in a suggestive tone". "No R4, we can't just flee, and besides I'm sworn to the Sith, not sure you can really understand that though". "Droid beeps normally". "Its ok R4, we wont just give up either, get ready to boost the engines". As R4 readied on the engine console, Kesran moved his ship closer to the planet, he was still very far and even outside the range of the Alliance ships and their scanners. Kesran needed to get the surface, he had to something, he had to fight or help people escape, whatever he could do, he would do. He just had to do......something. He thought to himself, "Get to the surface and take the next step, alright, now this shamble of ships they call a blockade". He smirked as he looked towards the several Alliance capital ships orbiting Korriban closely, probably still receiving their wounded and victorious soldiers. Kesran and the Sith would deal with them later, now he just had to get past them and try to save anyone on the surface. Typically, Sith are selfish, obviously, but Kesran's honorable heart compelled him to rise up in these situations. He knew the Lords and others would have rather died than be captured but seeing the explosions below, he thought the Alliance and Jedi just wanted to get offworld, so perhaps, there would be more survivors. Kesran would soon find out, and there were definitely still enemies on the surface. As he approached the Alliance Fleet, he readied his hands on the controls, "Wait for it R4, wait". His ship slowed a bit as he got closer and was now nearing orbit. "Wait".
"Wait..".

A voice came through the comm, "Unidentified HWK-100, slow your speed now or we will be forced to eng...". Kesran saw his chance and shouted before the Alliance officer could finish. "NOW R4, NOW!!!!". R4 activated the sublight engines and boosted them to full power. He shoved his hands on the controls forward and as hard as he could. VROOOM! His ship zoomed to the surface, as the fleet started to fade behind him, within moments he entered the atmosphere. As his ship made it through cloud cover, he was opened to the tolls of war. The planet had been partially obliterated, small bomb craters, crashed starfighters, and thousands of corpses lay across the battlefields and scattered the surface. He circled for two minutes and then saw that he had a Alliance fighter squadron inbound from the skies, probably sent by the Alliance Fleet or a squad already planetside. They were 3 minutes out, near the Valley of the Dark Lords. Kesran had some time, but not much. As his scanner picked up very little signs of life, he tried to use the force to sense any dark siders. As R4 kept her steady, Kesran delved deeper than usual and as thought he could sense nothing and nobody, he felt at the last moment, a presence. His head jolted like a booby trap back up to center view. "There!" "Down there R4, look". He saw a person in the distance, but could not make out who or what. It didn't matter, that person was the one he felt. However, as he dropped his ship to go towards the person, he saw on his scope, the fighter squadron was only 2 minutes out and he spotted a group of Jedi along the northern ridge advancing towards the person's position, closer to Kesran's view. He knew he would soon be out of time, but he could only get one person, then that would have to do. He punched the engines and took his ship to the person below as quickly as he could.

The sound of a ship filling her ears filled her with dread. The SIth had left Korriban by now. All that was left was the Jedi and their alliance. Enemies. She whimpered as she kept moving forward, now at a much faster pace. Everything hurt. Her body didn't want to move anymore. Alina just wanted to lay down. Sleep. Die. It was the same thing now, in the back of her mind. Threatening to make her give in. But she refused. She would keep going. Keep trying to survive.

She just needed to get out of sight before the ship got too close.

The young woman looked up to the ship that was arriving, trying to see how much time she had. Only to realize it wasn't an alliance ship at all. She'd of cried if she wasn't already so exhausted. An ally.

Kesran Opadal Kesran Opadal

R4 beeped again. "I know they're close, just let me know when they get into range". The Alliance squadron was only 1-2 minutes out, not giving him much time. He then looked out of his sideview and saw the person below as his ships drew closer, a woman. She looked somewhat injured and was moving rather quick considering her weakened state He then caught the Jedi moving in on her position from the north atop the higher ridgeline. The woman herself was walking along can best be described as a hillside path nearing a large plateau to the south of a mountain range. The path had a bit of a cliffside turn with a large drop below. It just so happened that was where he would bring his ship. He couldn't land, there wasn't enough time, his ship would be destroyed and he would have no way offworld just like the woman he was about to try to rescue. Just as he passed her, flying diagonally overhead and was about to swing around to become adjacent to her position, he quickly caught a closer glimpse of her and saw her lightsaber. Before jumping to conclusions, he just as quickly felt through the force that she was not a Jedi, so he was hoping a Sith or least a dark sider of some kind.

He swung the ship around. "R4, get ready to take over". "Remember!" "Keep her steady". He started to turn around as he left his pilot seat and walked towards the boarding elevator. "The Droid beeped with a question". "Yeah, if you have to, circle around for another pass if that happens". Kesran made it to the boarding elevator and pressed the button to lower it. As soon as it creak open and started to drop down, wind gusts whistled and swirled. Kesran prepared to step down on the elevator platform, and could now sense the Jedi moving down the side of a nearby mountain side, closing in on them. They were closer than he thought. He then realized something right before he stepped down, his lightsaber. It was destroyed while dueling with the Sith Traitor PERSENUS PERSENUS on Frego. With no melee weapon, Kesran would have to rely completely on the force as his primary tool this time around. He slowly began enhancing himself psychically & mentally through the force while he readied himself for his rescue attempt. He then hopped down on the platform below. R4 began to slow the ship down to nearly a jogging speed so the attempt could be made. There was no time for a complete stop, even though his ship was capable of hovering in the air unassisted for a while. As Kesran grabbed on of the durasteel poles of the boarding elevator platform with one hand, hoping to use the other to make his rescue of the woman. If he had to, he could use the force to create a diversion for the Jedi, who the three of them, were close behind the injured woman. He readied himself again as R4 brought the ship adjacent and less than 20 meters from the edge of the hillside cliff.

The ship flew by. For a moment despair filled the young woman's heart as she watched the ship go by. It was a Sith ship, for sure, but the fact they'd chosen to move on meant she was going to have to face the wrath of the Jedi. They were getting close. She looked over her shoulder towards where she could feel them coming from. The overwhelming feeling of the Light. It made her sick. Then she heard it. The ship coming back.

She saw it. The ship, just before her. Safety. A renewed burst of adrenaline filled her body as she rushed forward. She could survive. She wanted to survive. A jump towards Kesran Opadal Kesran Opadal was all she needed to do. Get close enough, jump. Her body nearly gave out before she had the chance. Pain overwhelmed her mind, causing her to stumble. Almost fall. Almost. Her desire to live kept her focused enough to recover, then jump. Weightless for a couple seconds as she flew through the air, then slammed into the ramp.

Alina couldn't use the Force to jump like many of her fellow acolytes. She barely made it to the ramp, legs dangling off as she scrambled to try and pull herself up.

He held one hand onto one of the elevator bars and watched as Alina Tremiru Alina Tremiru was ready to jump. He realized she might not make it due to her injuries. "R4", he said on his commlink. "Bring her closer". "closer!". The droid brought the ship closer to the cliffside bluff, nearly 10 or so meters away. Now 5 meters, but the droid couldn't bring it any closer, this would have to do. Kesran quickly looked behind the woman and saw the first of the Jedi slide down the rough mountain slope and reach the opposite end of the cliffside plateau, about 40 meters away from the edge. As they started to walk towards them, he focused back to the woman as she got a bit of running speed and then jumped!

She glided just enough to reach the ramp, but she landed around her shoulder level, barely clinging the flat durasteel surface. As she tried to hold on, Kesran immediately reached down with both hands, grabbed her by the arms and heaved her up. After a brief exertion of effort, she was able to crawl onto the platform with his help. As he helped her stand up, she almost fell into him. Kesran, reacting immediately, keeping her steady by setting his hands under triceps. He saw this woman was injured and extremely exhausted. He made a slight slime and said comfortingly, "Its alright, I got you". Before she could respond, Kesran's smile turned into an angry scowl as he caught sight of the Jedi as he looked past Alina's ear. He swung himself around her and leaned off the platform keeping one hand on the elevator bar. At the same moment, R4 tried to move the ship but could not. "What do you mean buddy", he responded to the droid, but as the ship turned up left a tad and the hull raised slightly, he could see why. All 3 Jedi were on the bluff beside them, two of them close behind the first, with both of them having drawn their sabers. The third was conveniently using the force to keep his ship in place. They were struggling, but holding it back still enough. He knew he had to act quickly and without second thought, reached outward with his idle right hand. He raised it upwards and towards the right. As the ship's hull flung upwards a bit, while being in the struggle with the Jedi's force pull, Kesran aligned his hand with the mountain behind the Jedi. He then closed his eyes and focused. (Queue The Dark End). He slowly closed his fist with the force, while the mountainside began to creak and crack. The Jedi heard it and turned around to look. With his fist now closed, Kesran opened his eyes and then yanked his hand downwards as part of the mountainside crumbled and fell downwards to the Jedi. He had created a rockslide that would buy them time to escape, and it did. As soon as the Jedi realized what had happened they all used the force to try to stop the avalanche, but it was too late.

After feeling the ship being freed from the Jedi's grasp, Kesran yelled to R4, "Get us outta here R4!". R4 responded and moved the ship around and upwards away from the cliffside and forwards through the mountain pass. Kesran breathed in relief, he then activated the button that raised the elevator. Once they were fully inside the ship, Alina near fell over, clearly exhausted and depleted. Kesran said "Here, lets find you a place to rest". He now gestured towards the back of the ship and towards the berths. He then gestured to the inside of the room, "Lay down and relax, your safe now".

Alina was laughing now as Kesran Opadal Kesran Opadal pulled her up the ramp. She didn't even register the lingering threat of the Jedi, or how they hadn't gotten off world yet. All she knew as, for the first time since this war started, she was safe. She barely even registered the feat Kesran pulled off with crumbling the cliffside. She wandered to one of the beds as she was pointed in their directions, offering a half hearted thanks before flopping onto the bed. Yeah, she was tired. Exhausted. Didn't take long before she just up and passed out.

He made sure she made it to the bed safely, without falling. As she laid down he gave her a half smile and was about to speak before he realized she was already passed out. She did seem extremely exhausted. As he turned to leave......BOOM!!! Kesran looked around and saw no breaches. R4 beeped to him from the front. Kesran ran to the front. He was hoping the blast didn't wake Alina Tremiru Alina Tremiru , though it rocked the ship hard for a few seconds. He ran up and jumped into his seat, "Yeah I know its the Alliance Squadron, I know!". He looked out the viewport and saw several V-wings circling around his ship, lining up for strafing runs. BOOM!! The ship was hit again. Though the V-wings didn't the best armament, they could still pack a punch. Kesran quickly activated all of the buttons and switches. "R4, gimme full power". The droid did and Kesran pushed on the controls, speeding the ship upwards and away from the enemy squadron, which was close behind. "URRGGGGHHH", Kesran growled as he barrel rolled around to avoid getting tagged.

As he drove through the atmosphere and with the V-wings still behind him he emerged into space, to find a horror. The Galactic Alliance Fleet was being assembled at the exact spot that Kesran happened to exit the planet to. At least 3 cruisers, a couple star destroyers, and many frigates were littered at orbit.
"Oh boy", he said, feeling a bit of nervousness. "Ok R4, ready the Nava computer". "Droid beeps in concern". "I don't care where, just get it set!". He accelerated away from the V-wings as he maneuvered his craft closer to the capital ships, but as he came center line with one of the MC-250 Cruisers, at least 20 X-wings emerged from its main hangar. "Awww crap!" As ships closed in on him from almost all sides and fire came from turrets everywhere, he suddenly plunged downwards, "YAAARRRGGHHH", he grunted as he shoved the controls downwards as the ship plummeted. The fighters followed as he swung, turned, rolled away from enemy fire. He was a good pilot, but not the best, he knew he couldn't last for much longer. "R4, we still got shields?", Kesran loudly asked as he made another sharp swing maneuver and blew apart two X wings with his laser cannons before spinning away from incoming fighters. R4 replied with the number, 34%. Kesran knew his shields couldn't hold up much more. He needed to get out of here. Just as he focused back, he banked hard right to avoid crashing into a nearby frigate. As he avoided the fighters, he looked diagonally to his left, an opening. An opening between two MC-81 star cruisers and if he could lose the fighters behind for just long enough he could make it. "Ok R4, is the computer set?" "Droid replies with positivity". "Good, lets get outta here". Kesran drove his ship to the back over the top of the first MC-81. He then dropped hard left and swung back around to fly parallel to its right side. As he neared the front of the ship, BOOM, BOOM! He had been hit, shields at 12%. He slowed down to turn right, BOOM! Shields at 5%. He went closer to the MC-81 and then as he pulled his ship right a tad...... WHOOSH, making a sharp hard left! Catching the fighters off guard, he swung around tight as he could to the MC-81's hull, nearly making contact. As he swung around, he turned off once he reached the end of the front and the left side of the ship. Bingo. He looked behind him. It had worked! With the time bought, he straightened himself out and lined his ship up. Seconds later, the fighters rounded the bend, but it was too late. Kesran smiled and shouted "Lock it in buddy". R4 did, and Kesran pushed forward the hyperdrive lever. White lines streaked across view and blue appeared. Kesran smiled again and laughed as he looked at R4.

VROOOM!!!!!

The blast certainly didn't make it easy for Alina, but exhaustion still won out. The trouble that Kesran Opadal Kesran Opadal had to go through just to get out of the system she had no idea about, not for the couple of hours that she was out at least. When she did finally wake it wasn't pleasant. Nightmares of the undead, endless falls, and powerful Jedi striking her down had the young woman sit up with a yelp of panic. It took a moment to realize that she wasn't still on Korriban. No, on a ship?

Her yellow eyes scanned the room as she tried to remember what exactly had happened. She remembered getting out. The harsh sun. A ship. Right. Someone had rescued her. Alina got up from the bed she'd passed out in, glancing around. Her vision was still hazy, still tired. But she needed to know who she owed a debt to. And if she could even trust them to begin with.

Half stumbling she'd enter the common room, searching for Kesran or anyone else who might be on board. "Hey. You around?"

Kesran sat back in seat and sighed in relief. "Wooo", he let out as he tilted his head back. He looked over at his trusty droid companion. The droid roamed over to Kesran. He beeped in a happy tone. Kes smiled and patted him on his top. "Thanks buddy, couldn't of done it without you". He looked out into the blue swirl of hyperspace. He had done it, well he had saved someone. He still wondering if there more people he could have saved. If he was only faster, smarter, stronger. Yes, stronger. If he was stronger, he could have done something, "I know I could!", he thought to himself. At that moment his rage subsided as he came back to reality. He couldn't have saved anyone else, he was lucky he saved even one. He wished to ask Alina some questions about the Invasion and what happened and more importantly, what she had been through. She looked like she went through the gates of hell when he rescued her. He would just wait until she awoke. Let her rest, gods know she needed it.

He took a quick nap in his pilot seat. He had examined that R4 had put in the hyperspace coordinates quickly and they were on route to Yavin. He wasn't sure if that was a GA ta
rget or even had been taken. He was so new to the Sith, that he really didn't know much about the recent battles and occupations. He changed it to head for the Feriae Junction, simply just called Junction most of the time. A route on the Hydian Way, it was a major tradeworld, which had a considerable underworld presence. It could be the best place to stay low and hide for a bit until he knew where was the safest place to regroup was with other Sith or Sith-Imperials. Besides he had a friend planetside who could give them some fresh supplies if needed. He would also need repairs, and speaking of that, Kesran awoke from his short nap and headed back to check on the engines for any major damage.

He was tinkering with the engine & coolant ducts when he heard her.
"Hey. You around?". Kesran popped his head out of the engine maintenance room, "Yeah I'm back here", he shouted hoping she heard him. "nearly just got thi..............got it!". He stood up and used a rag to clean his filthy hands as she entered the back of ship where he had just finished.

Back of the ship, huh? She made her way there slowly, not wanting to tax herself anymore than she already had. Hell, she shouldn't of gotten out of bed. But she needed to know. Who saved her. Where they were. What the plan was. Her yellow eyes fell to Kesran Opadal Kesran Opadal full of suspicion and curiosity. Alina didn't recognize him at all, which made him all that much more suspicious. Why'd he come back to save her? On who's orders? Her eyes narrowed slightly, betraying this line of though before she could put a stopper on it.

".. Thank you, for saving me. Might I know your name?"

Kesran continued to clean his dirty hands when he saw Alina enter and stop

".. Thank you, for saving me. Might I know your name?"

Kesran offered his, "Kesran". "Kesran Opadal". He thought of giving an alias in case she not a Sith. A bounty hunter, neutral force user working some crime syndicate, an assassin, he didn't know. But she had the presence of a Sith, he could sense her anger, fear, hatred. Emotions tell the true story, they show a person's character, and display why they take certain actions for certain reasons.

"I had to save someone". Kesran said, closing his smile and feeling sadness within. He soon closed himself back up and asked for hers. "And If I may ask, you are?"

He wanted to be polite as he could, but still remain cautious. He didn't know her, but oddly enough he felt like what they had just been through warranted some kind of trust, at least?

He wasn't somewhat sure, but he would found out.

He wanted to say so much, but he decided to let her dictate the conversation. She had earned that much at least, and judging on the state he found her in, she did deserve much more than that. He could see that she was struggling just standing, he offered her to sit down, "If you want, you can sit on that cushion over there". He said as he pointed to an old leather cushion he had picked up on Nar Shaddaa. Or was it Balmorra? He wasn't sure.

Yeah, that was a feeling she understood. Alina gave Kesran Opadal Kesran Opadal a sad smile and a nod of understanding. It'd been the same way on Dantooine. Digging through the crystals to find even just one survivor had consumed her. She'd only been able to save one. And it wasn't even one of the ones she was hoping to save. "Alina." She was pretty grateful to take a seat, doing so immediately. Ironically Alina wasn't much for conversation, instead content with sitting in silence. For a little while at least.

"Where are we heading?"

He didn't want to do anything stupid and say anything stupid, better to be quiet than make harmful chatter. It was one of the things he had learned since had left his homeworld of Bakura.

Kesran could feel his similar feelings to his, especially with his regret and sorrow. All those who experienced loss and defeat had those feelings once before in the lives, usually more than once. She also gave his a nod of her head that suggested even more than she knew what he had felt in certain moments.

The woman finally gave him her name,
"Alina."

Kesran gave a short grin and nodded his head in acknowledgement. "Glad to meet you Alina, officially". His mind drifted into thought. About what he had done and what would his hold future. All thoughts at the moments were halted at the moment when she spoke again.

"Where are we heading?".

He would answer her with the truth. At this point, they hadn't established much trust, but he could sense a survivalist with himself and her. Good. Common ground. This would at least allow him to trust her base instincts to survive. For all he knew she was a Sith Lord, though it was more likely if she was, she would have been a recently made Sith Lord. On this, he wasn't sure. Though his force powers were immensely powerful for someone of his age. he still had much farther to go in terms of mastering the force and being able to understand & control it. Therefore his ability to
Sense Force in a being was moderate at best, for now. In time, it would grow and grow. All in good time.

He now snapped out of his thoughts again and proceeded to answer her
question.

"Well, we are heading to Junction, a trade route on the Hydian Way". "We can probably find out what's going with everything once we get there".

"Besides if we have to lay low, that is one of the best places to do it".

He would wait for her to respond, he didn't to overload her too much.

The silence to her question brought a furrow to her brow. It shouldn't be that hard to answer. To need to think about it. Kesran Opadal Kesran Opadal had saved her from the planet, yes, but he also broke through the Alliance blockade. Escaped Jedi. The possibility was there, that this was just a trap. An illusion. His answer only put her more on edge. They were fleeing the Empire? "Only Korriban would be lost, not the whole Empire. We should be going to Dromund Kaas to regroup."

Her yellow eyes narrowed. The distrust was palpable in the air at this point. "So why are we leaving Sith space?"

He could feel her anger rising. He could feel her doubt and confusion.

He had to clear the air.

"Woah, we aren't leaving Sith Space"

"Don't worry". "Junction is still in Sith space".

He hadn't been truly honest. He did set the course to regroup and he did need repairs, but there was something else, something he couldn't really tell her.

"Here's the thing, I know that Dromund Kaas is where we should go, and heck, my own master is there too".

"However, Dromund Kaas is only accessible via two ways, going back through Korriban or going around using the Hydian Way".

"And I don't know about you, but I don't want to take on that blockade again", said Kesran with a nervous chuckle.

"The ship is also damaged, and while I fixed what I could, the rear deflector array is fried and one of the repulsor engines is shot". "We need repairs, but I know the best mechanic on Junction". "He can get us back up and going in less than a day".

"Afterwards, we can both head back to Dromund Kaas".

He could sense her confused nature in regards to him. Maybe his raw power was throwing her off. Maybe it was that she didn't think he was a Sith. He didn't really know.

As he searched through his senses, there! He had sensed that she was still highly aware, almost too aware. He could sense her fear and trepidation. He could feel her feeling boxed in.

"And before you ask me, Yes, I am a Sith".

That wasn't technically true. He corrected himself.

"Well, I'm trying to become one at least, hopefully I will".

Just that one sentence had released his own fear and worry. He was usually never afraid. Except when he brought up or implied his Sith training. That was the only thing.

Kesran was also very distrusting. He really wasn't sure if she was a Sith either. The force told that she most likely was given her anger, fear, hatred, and sorrow. He didn't want to think of it, but if he had too, he would take care of it if that's what it came too.

He didn't want to though. Through her rough and brash exterior, he could see a determined, committed, and loyal person. Qualities he could admire. For a split second, he thought they were things he could find...attractive.

No, no, no. He shouldn't think about that, it is.....but,...
"Shut up. You idiot", he said to himself. His mind basically fighting over a tight rope in his brain as his thoughts switched from one side to the other.

He decided to ask her a simple question, just one. If she answered it, well, that depended on the answer.

"So, are you a Sith too?"

He hoped she would say yes, then they would at least have some more common ground to go off of. And to possibly establish any more trust than they had at this moment.

Her glare lessened as Kesran Opadal Kesran Opadal explained why they were going the way they were. It was a bit comforting to know it was at least to know the whole plan, though she still didn't feel that she could completely trust this man. Him saying he was a Sith just made it easier to distrust him. Sith rarely helped one another for no reason without some kind of agenda. She gave a simple nod to his question, shifting in her seat. She got comfortable, but she made sure she could still spring forward if it turned out her distrust was warranted.

"It's why I want to get back to Kaas as quickly as possible." She needed to know if her friend had survived the invasion. That her near sacrifice hadn't been in vain. And, more importantly, to let them know she had survived. Alina let out a sigh, her gaze falling to her hands in her lap. They were still cut and bruised from the trials she faced. They didn't hurt at least.

"So it'll be a day before we can get back?"

Kesran now sensed that she was still on edge. Though he wasn't the kindest person, he was also not inconsiderate. He felt her worry as she sighed about something. However, he decided to answer her previous question.

"So it'll be a day before we can get back?"

"Yeah, just about". "The repairs won't take that long".

He now thought about his....other task.

He had to send the message and make sure no one saw him or suspected anything, he might not get another chance once he got back to Dromund Kaas.

He tried to move on from that thought by asking her another question, though he wasn't sure of how she would answer.

"I know you don't trust me, and I get it". "Us Sith are brought up to be dishonest, distrusting".

"If it makes you feel anymore secure, I don't entirely trust you either".

"So how about we try to at least trust each other only on the basis of our mutual dishonesty". He wasn't sure if she would agree, but the basis of his request was well founded. Both were Sith, both were distrusting as all Sith are, and they could at least keep each other in check on that basis alone. Besides, he was starting to enjoy her sharp wit and tempered tone.

R4 now rolled into the back of the ship. He soon turned and beeped at Alina, in a happy greeting tone. "Droid beeps in happy greetings at Alina".

"Sorry, R4 is a bit of a curious pal when it comes to meeting new people". He said, attempting to give reason for his droid's behavior.

He hoped she would give a decent response to his previous question, if so, the journey might become a bit more enjoyable for Kesran.

"Right." Sith distrusting one another was old news, but she still didn't like it. Didn't like the fact she couldn't trust her fellows or the fact there had to be that distrust to begin with. She took a breath, closing her eyes. Trust each other on their distrust? It seemed foolish, but given she was trapped on his ship, there wasn't much she could do to argue. Or want to do to argue. "Fine."

Her eyes opened to see the droid, blinking in confusion. Curious? All her knowledge on droids were that they had no personality, just programming. Her brow furrowed, but she did give a small nod to the machine. "Right. Hello."

He soon looked at her. She was definitely uncomfortable on his ship. He would usually not care if anyone he didn't know was alright, but something about her, lit something inside him. Bringing out a more reasonable and understanding nature. He could see that she felt a bit awkward by R4 and how he rolled right up to her. He would send R4 back to the cockpit.

"R4 buddy, go check how much longer till we get to Junction".

"Droid beeps in acknowledgement".

As R4 went back to the front, Kes looked back at Alina.

Kes
ran was feeling uncomfortable too, it felt like in any moment, they would be ready to kill each other. He had to say something, but right before he spoke, he felt something in his stomach, a feeling he had never felt before, odd. He couldn't make out what it was, but still.

He felt a tad anxious as well the more and more they both sat there.

Finally he spoke,
"I didn't mean that.....you know.....that we couldn't trust each other.....someday......you know if....". By the force, what a creep he sounded like. Stuttering like a nervous child. He stopped himself before things got worse. He dropped his head in embarrassment.

He decided to just be cordial,
"You want a beverage", said Kesran as he stood up and walked over to an unlocked supply crate.

He assumed that this was the beverage crate that he got back Florrum. He began to open it when he said,
"I think I have a bottle of some Dorian Quill, but I don't know.....". As he reached in, his hands slipped off of something inside, hitting the front inside of the crate, and causing it to tip over. It fell onto the floor. However, instead of whiskey, what fell out was something far more significant. He glanced back at the floor and saw that it wasn't any beverage, it was his Holocron. Darn. He could have sworn he put it back into the drawer underneath his berth. Kesran had no idea how it ended up in this crate in the cargo hold.

It wasn't just any Holocron, it was the Sith Holocron of
Exar Kun.

Kesran starred in shock at the ground for a second. It wasn't like the Holocron would crack or anything, but no one else knew he had it, besides R4, Dresk, and maybe his master. Kesran had used the Holocron throughout his long journey to arrive in the heart of the Sith Empire and learned the majority of his developed power and knowledge from Kun's teachings.

He stood several feet away from where it fell to. He looked over at Alina. She could of been shocked too, but he didn't know. He could see her look turn to face the commotion and the particular object now sitting on the durasteel floor of the cargo hold.

At the very least, she couldn't really doubt that he was a darksider now. Or could she?
