Sam sat on the freshers, his legs dangling over the porcelain throne and his feet touching the ground with his pants around his ankles. He looked slightly awkward in his armor sitting there, though it didn't seem to bother him at all. The Soldier sat staring at his palms, as if he wanted to bury himself in them. A single thought crossed his mind...
Why did he do this to himself?
He couldn't help it. He was an addict. Hali tells him to indulge, and so he did.
Sam loved berries. Above everything else in this world he loved the small little fruits. They were delicious in whatever form they took and Sam could not help but devour them whenever he found them. This time he had eaten them by the handful, and now he regretted it all.
He coughed loudly as his bowels disrupted his thoughts once more, covering noise.
Why did he do this to himself?
It was the only thought that occurred to him, the only thing that really stuck in his mind. The Soldier frowned slightly and slowly he picked up the pieces of flimsy on the floor in front of him. He buried himself in reading the daily news, coughing loudly every now and again.
