DESCRIPTION
This is designed to pack a heavy punch, so even if it did not penetrate the enemy armour, it still could leave burn and scorch mark. This was done by increasing the amount of gas and power it used per shot. Though unlike a standard blaster pistol, they scrapped the semi automatic mode, as this would make even more inaccurate, as the recoil on single shot was already high enough. Though to help reduce chance of missing they added a laser light, so they could see what they where pointing at, and thus less likely to miss. So it could also be used as a law enforcement weapon, they added a stun setting, so it could knock out people wanted for questioning.

Remove this. Players are using all kinds of designs and tools, and there are no guarantees in RP. If you'd like, you can add a strength to the blaster saying something like: this pistol is designed to pack a heavy punch, so that it can potentially scorch or burn armored targets.

Remember: plasma doesn't have the same mass and is less dense than solids or liquids. If you want to bang about people with kinetic energy, consider a slugthrower.

thought was it hit it give kinetic energy, as seen fall troopers fall backwards, in films.
 
It gives some. If you'll look at the films they sort of fall in any direction. Sometimes backwards, other times they double over. From what I can tell it's the shot "burning" through the armor that causes someone to die (notice the sparks, puffs of material being vaporized, and the lack of blood leaking wounds which would imply tearing from kinetic damage). If you need help visualizing this look up A New Hope when the Tantive IV is boarded by the Empire. You'll see one guy jump back. Another crumples, etc, etc.

If you want to cause damage by sort of "passing through" the armor to provide damage there are better choices.


Look over your wording again on that sentence. The important thing in submissions is to say certain abilities "can, may, might," do an effect and not "will, does always, still," does a thing.

If I seem nitpicky, don't worry. I'm here for you and to make sure the sub gets the quick approval once I give it a "ready" stamp.
