I need a Darth Name!

Hey guys!

So, this is pretty simple. I've been RPing as a Knight for months now without an official title, and it's time for that to change. I've tried several generators, all of which have been quite unsatisfactory, so I decided I'd put this out there for the community to decide. I'm sure I could come up with one myself, but I don't see any reason not to turn this into a competition, so here it is. I don't really have any prize I can offer to the person who can come up with the best one, other than a limited edition collectible Melkaroth Tyrin figurine in its original packaging, but if you're good with names (I always have to use a generator) feel free to give it a shot!

Latin is usually great for this sort of thing. That and German. Occasionally Welsh or Danish works. Russian also can have a nice ring to it.

I always liked yours, but I don't think that sort of title would fit with Tyrin. He's more of a Vader-like character, that is to say, a more traditional villain focused more on power than brute strength and insanity.

My favourites are probably Darth Cybrrion and Darth Tratos. And yeah, I use a lot of Latin in my writing, but I just couldn't find the right words for this. Never thought of German, Welsh, Danish or Russian, though. I'll try that at the next opportunity, thanks!

Had a little look around for other languages that meant "Tyranny/Tyrant" due to a similar slant on your current name and offer these:

From one Darth to another future one, search odd and uncommon or unheard of mythological gods. I got Darth Vidar, as he is a mostly unheard God known also as The Silent. Those myths usually have nice names, and each has a very special meaning behind it.

Nergal - Babylonian god of war, fire, the underworld, and pestilence
'Oro - Polynesian god of war
Resheph- Semitic god of plague & war
Havoc, because Darth Havoc (0r Darth Havok) would be a great name.

Honestly, I think it's really important for someone to decide their own darth name or be given one. A lot of the beauty goes into the research of it, the waffling, combing over latin and german names and what not.

Fair enough, but it's been great to see what everyone's come up with, and I think it's always nice to put things out to the community sometimes. The best thing I found is translating words that pertain to your character, near any language will do. I have used Fillipino, spanish, portugese i believe...crap lol so many I have forgotten
