The first time I ever role played around here was when I asked an active member of one of the factions to do an introductory roleplay with me. This let me establish my character for the first time and it allowed us both to set up scenario in which we could both be invested and have an interest in writing. I think the problem with your Time To Go thread is that no one really knows how or why their character would join at that random spot to randomly meet you at a random time. No one knows this companion of yours or why you're both chasing some guy. At least, they may know OOC, but it's a far stretch IC.
Sometimes, it works, but I don't really see anyone finding the right incentive to just appear out of the blue in that thread. I can RP with you, if you want, but we have to co-ordinate. We have to both decide where our characters would likely cross paths and then go with it. It doesn't even have to be with this character, Bhaltair. Just go to my character page and select Characters so you can see who all I play. Then, tell me so we can get something started.
