Susevfi had been chaotic and from what Eira had read, heard and learned about. Quinn had gone through more than she could imagine in terms of pain and fear. Eira had wanted to stay, she wanted to burn everything there, to unleash her powers and be the feral animal that others often claimed to see her as. However, she knew that wasn't going to help Quinn and she refused to just indulge herself, not now. She was learning to care about her Master, beyond the simple flirting and teasing that she threw towards Quinn. Quinn was paying her attention in ways that Eira was not used to. Not even her parents had cared enough to keep eyes on her and attempt to temper her moods and aggression.
People gave up on Eira, she was a feral animal who was too dangerous. That was all she knew from how others treated her. Quinn was the only one that made her question if that was how she actually was.
Now was the time to give a little back and show her Master that the efforts, the training was actually connecting with Eira. That there was some sparkle in Eira that she could be more reserved, more coy in and act more respectable than she usually did. That whatever potential Quinn saw in Eira was really there and not just a manipulation as others claimed. However, being on the Mors Mon meant that Eira had to avoid Kaila. The other Sith was not a fan of Eira's and Eira knew that being seen around Quinn during this vulnerable stage would anger Kaila beyond rationality. But Eira needed to see her Master, to be there for Quinn sooner rather than later.
Which is why she used her stealth skills to avoid Kaila and sneak into the medical room that Quinn was in. Using the shadows to hide herself as she thought about what to say. It was lingering in Eira's mind that she had warned Quinn when they first met that people would use any and every tactic they could to win, that only victors could claim whether something was honourable or not. However, she knew that coming out with a "I told you so..." line would be cruel and untrue. Eira had no idea that this would be something that would happen on Susevfi. If she had thought for a moment that was a possibility then Eira would never have let her Master go alone.
Eira would have fought, threw tantrums, even snuck onto the world to ensure that Quinn was safe. She could not let her Master get that close to death again. It had brought a dread inside Eira that she had not realised was there. Breathing in deeply, she sighed, "you know, if you could warn me when you are going to throw yourself into impending doom in future, I would appreciate it. Gives me time to find a new Master."
It was a joke, something unserious but in Eira's eyes was the fury that she failed to protect Quinn like she wanted to. "I...ah..." There it was, she couldn't bring herself to say it. She couldn't admit how much she cared, how scared she had been, how scared she still was for Quinn. "Hopefully your recovery will be quick, I need my Master back to training me soon." Yup, that was it. Be a selfish villain. That was who she was, right?
