Susevfi had been chaotic and from what Eira had read, heard and learned about. Quinn had gone through more than she could imagine in terms of pain and fear. Eira had wanted to stay, she wanted to burn everything there, to unleash her powers and be the feral animal that others often claimed to see her as. However, she knew that wasn't going to help Quinn and she refused to just indulge herself, not now. She was learning to care about her Master, beyond the simple flirting and teasing that she threw towards Quinn. Quinn was paying her attention in ways that Eira was not used to. Not even her parents had cared enough to keep eyes on her and attempt to temper her moods and aggression.

People gave up on Eira, she was a feral animal who was too dangerous. That was all she knew from how others treated her. Quinn was the only one that made her question if that was how she actually was.

Now was the time to give a little back and show her Master that the efforts, the training was actually connecting with Eira. That there was some sparkle in Eira that she could be more reserved, more coy in and act more respectable than she usually did. That whatever potential Quinn saw in Eira was really there and not just a manipulation as others claimed. However, being on the Mors Mon meant that Eira had to avoid Kaila. The other Sith was not a fan of Eira's and Eira knew that being seen around Quinn during this vulnerable stage would anger Kaila beyond rationality. But Eira needed to see her Master, to be there for Quinn sooner rather than later.

Which is why she used her stealth skills to avoid Kaila and sneak into the medical room that Quinn was in. Using the shadows to hide herself as she thought about what to say. It was lingering in Eira's mind that she had warned Quinn when they first met that people would use any and every tactic they could to win, that only victors could claim whether something was honourable or not. However, she knew that coming out with a "I told you so..." line would be cruel and untrue. Eira had no idea that this would be something that would happen on Susevfi. If she had thought for a moment that was a possibility then Eira would never have let her Master go alone.

Eira would have fought, threw tantrums, even snuck onto the world to ensure that Quinn was safe. She could not let her Master get that close to death again. It had brought a dread inside Eira that she had not realised was there. Breathing in deeply, she sighed, "you know, if you could warn me when you are going to throw yourself into impending doom in future, I would appreciate it. Gives me time to find a new Master."

It was a joke, something unserious but in Eira's eyes was the fury that she failed to protect Quinn like she wanted to. "I...ah..." There it was, she couldn't bring herself to say it. She couldn't admit how much she cared, how scared she had been, how scared she still was for Quinn. "Hopefully your recovery will be quick, I need my Master back to training me soon." Yup, that was it. Be a selfish villain. That was who she was, right?

It was a rare moment that Quinn had been left alone. The Empress and Kaila had found themselves busy with their duties, and the doctors had finished their rounds with the Sith Princess. She slept quietly, recovering every bit of her energy while the Force flowed through her, regenerating her body. While still resting, she was vaguely aware of the presence that had snuck up to the side of her bed. Eira Dyn was fit to become a Sith Assassin; the woman was quiet and had light feet. Still, Quinn could feel her Apprentice's presence despite her desire to stay quiet.

Eira began to speak, her voice giving up her concern easily. Quinn remained quiet, pretending to sleep and giving the girl a chance to talk without dealing with her Master, who was awake and aware of her unique brand of kindness. After Eira finished, Quinn opened her eyes and sat up in bed. Her gaze drifted to her Apprentice, and she smiled. "Here, I thought you were going to demand to go with me next time." she laughed and coughed slightly. A new surge of pain echoed through her wounded body. Quinn did her best to hide the pain from her Apprentice. There was no reason to worry her - especially after her already wanting to find another master.

"If something happens to me," Quinn stated, "I have contingency plans for your training, so don't worry. I have a few people in mind, including returning you to my cousin." She nodded, knowing that several masters would do the Echani a favor. She never wanted to leave Eira alone in the galaxy; the woman had dealt with that enough already.

The Sith Princess watched the woman; it seemed she had settled into playing the part of the villain. Quinn's face softened as she looked at her student. Eira had accepted her role, and her Master wondered if there was a way to change that. Either way, Quinn held out a hand to her, "You know, you don't have to keep your walls up so high when it's just the two of us. Let yourself relax, Eira; as much as you try, you won't be the villain in my story." Quinn again chuckled as she offered her hand again.

"It's good to see you again, my Apprentice - I'm sorry I didn't take you along on this adventure. Next time, I promise."

"If I was with you, they would have just killed me. I am still a nobody. Not important enough yet to hold for ransom." Eira pointed out, "though it seems that they were foolish enough to think they could get away with killing you." Eira mentioned, being aboard the Mors Mon, Eira had gotten to realise just how special and important Quinn was within the Sith Order. While her Master was still young, she was well loved and there were many who came to her aid when she needed it. In fact, most of the big named Sith came ready to turn Susevfi into ash for Quinn. It demonstrated to Eira that how important this whole making friends and allies was.

Who would come burn a world for her if she was taken?

Eira tilted her head, "if something happens to you? You think I will let it get that close again?" Eira raised an eyebrow as she took a step closer to Quinn's bed. "I agreed to be your student, and clearly you need my protection since you can be a little foolish." It was not a question, Eira saw this whole ordeal as a demonstration that she was lacking when it came to her role. Eira needed to be better and prove she could defend Quinn from harm. "The plans are a nice thought but unneeded since I will not let you get into a situation like this again, or I will die preventing it."

There was a glint of her loyalty and fiery determination to protect Quinn. The young Sith Lord had not been her Master long, but Eira was taken the kindness Quinn gave her to heart and refusing to lose the person who gifted it. She tensed when it was clear that Quinn had been able to read her mind, "you know it is rude to keep reading my thoughts. Who knows what I might end up thinking to make sure you blush." Eira stared back challenging Quinn to be bold enough to read her thoughts now. Her hands gripped the edge of the bed, as she breathed in deeply and let out a slow sigh.

"I don't want to be your villain. But being the villain is all everyone I know has seen me as and treated me as." Eira confessed. Deciding not to lie to Quinn since she had seen that thought in her mind already. Taking Quinn's hand, she gave it a gentle squeeze, "I won't let you go alone on such reckless missions again." Eira promised in return.

Quinn listened to the woman, providing a laugh or two when her words brought joy to the Master. There was something special about Eira; she was disappointed in her cousin for not seeing it. She nodded along, hearing everything that the apprentice was saying. Conviction came naturally to the apprentice; she would make a strong Sith, and her beliefs were sound. Her eyes left the girl as she looked back at her hands; the dirt still stained her hands, a grim reminder of her ordeals. Upon further examination, she realized her nails were chipped and broken.

Another disaster, another crisis.

"They would have kept you and tried to turn you against me. You're much more than you think, Eira; where's the confidence and power you're known for?" Quinn glanced back at her apprentice. Having the woman by her side felt powerful, knowing that she was needed, and Eira could be crafted and wielded like a weapon. Despite knowing what most Sith would do to the apprentice, Quinn wanted more than a weapon.

Loyalty was something she was going to need to see through her endeavor.

"Surprise me," her voice was quiet, tempting as she laughed at Eira's comment about reading her mind. "I'll help teach you defenses. Your mind needs to be a steel trap, my apprentice." Quinn began, more authority veiled in her words.

"You'll bear my secrets, which no one in the Empire knows." Quinn tilted her head away as she adjusted herself in the bed. Everything that had happened on Susevfi was by will of the Force. She needed to grow up; she needed to see her fate laid before her. "Do you know what the old title was for the apprentice of the Imperial leader?" She questioned; it was primarily rhetorical because she desired to let the woman know herself. "The apprentice of the head of state carries as much power and authority. They are the voice of their Master. They are known as the First Apprentice."

Quinn nodded, "You will accompany me on all my missions, act as my blade, my authority. You will grow under my tutelage among others I trust."

She let her words sink in; the girl was bright and could easily follow what her Master was getting at. A slight grin curled along Quinn's lips as she finally looked at Eira. "You will be the First Apprentice - you will be MY First Apprentice when I become Empress."

Eira chuckled as she took the hands of Quinn and some nail clippers, deciding the help her Master out and take care of the nails and dirt. "I appreciate you seeing my value. However, I might know I would be more useful to them alive and used as their weapon. My concerns were in their lack of understanding. They seemed stupid enough to attempt to harm you. I doubt they would be smart enough to realise the value I could bring them." Eira took care in trimming the nails so they were not broken. Shorter than usual but neat and in time, they would be back to where Quinn liked them. Eira then grabbed a wash cloth and began to clean the dirt away, best she could.

It was a side of loyalty and commitment to Quinn that Eira would deny ever showing to her publicly, and she would refuse to demonstrate it again in front of others. But it was a demonstration that the feelings that Eira held towards Quinn were not simply the surface level attraction she was brazen about. Nor was she manipulatively trying to control their relationship to come out of this position the stronger one. There was a crack in Eira's armour that only Quinn could get through currently and she allowed Quinn to see that. To witness the care that Eira could give through this process.

When asked to surprise Quinn, Eira looked up from the washing that she was doing and raised an eyebrow. "I don't think you are prepared to see what I could truly think of." Only giving a slight hint with a vision of what she saw the pair of them doing together, in this bed. Just to tease Quinn and see if her Master could handle more. If Quinn was bold enough to read her mind. "Good. I always prided myself on being unreadable and having the ability to read and manipulate others. It would be nice to continue that skill with the Force against others trained in the Force."

Eira could already think of a few secrets that Quinn held that she might not want others to know. Kaila's actions on Susefvi were way above and beyond those of a friend. Eira knew all too well how strongly the woman could feel and how intense that could get. However, she was sure that Quinn held many more secrets than simply bed companions and it'll be good to be able to keep them locked away.

"I haven't. The history of the Sith is something I'm still learning..." Listening to the explanation, there was a glint in her eyes that was the desire to obtain such a title. That this was definitely that something aligned with her ambitions and that she would help Quinn achieve her goals to her help herself as well.

Nodding her head, "I will ensure you reach the title of Empress and ensure no one dares to stand in your way of that." Eira finished cleaning the hands of Quinn and took her hand, kneeling beside the bed and placing her forehead against the knuckles of Quinn's hand.

"You have my loyalty and obedience. As long as I am your apprentice, I will do every I can to protect you and carry out your orders. My blade is your blade." Eira vowed.

The Princes watched in silence as her Apprentice took her hands. The usual sharp edge of the girl's demeanor was suddenly soft with an unexpected tenderness. Each snip of the clippers was precise and methodical; Quinn felt cherished while Eira committed this quiet act of devotion. It was a rare moment for the Princess - she only allowed specific individuals to treat her like this to give them a chance to care for her and her vulnerability. Eira made the gesture seem more than just grooming; it was something more profound and sacred.

The warmth of the cloth was welcomed; it was soothing to have Eira continue with such air. Her words continued as Quinn focused on the act. She sighed softly; it was a subtle surrender. It was dangerous, but not in the way of blades and war, but because of how intimate the moment was between Master and Student. Eira peeled away at the Echani's guard while, in the same breath, exposing herself to the Master. Both offer themselves through this mutual trust, unspoken and careful.

A smile spread over the Master's face as she looked towards her Apprentice; the woman teased, with a hint of something more threading through her words. It was a challenge, a test, and its implications were hung between them like a charged wire. Eira set the bait, wanting the Echani to reach for it and to see deeper into the younger woman's mind. Quinn denied the young woman the pleasure of this game, but her lips pulled into an intrigued smile, her mind considering the bait.

Eira shifted away from the teasing. It was sudden, and the Princess didn't expect it.

Quinn felt the sudden weight of Eira's vow as she knelt and pressed he forehead to the newly manicured hand. It was a promise of devotion. Power hummed between them through the unspoken agreement, solidifying Eira's place at Quinn's side. She was more than a lover; her loyalty was less fickle than others.

Ambition burned behind Quinn's eyes; Eira was meant to be something great, and her desires were infectious. Reaching towards her Apprentice, she caressed just under the woman's chin and tilted her attention towards her gaze. "See that you do," she whispered, her voice low and smooth - threaded with a command only a royal could muster. "I have no use for half measures nor for those who hesitate when it matters most."

Quinn's eyes never left Eira's as she traced the curve of the young woman's jaw with her fingertips. Her thumb brushed and dragged against her full lips. Her touch lingered just long enough to make her point. As Quinn's hand withdrew, Eira felt a gentle burning at the corner of her lip from where Quinn's thumb finished the gentle drag along her lip. The Master would accept the Apprentice's promise, but she would always test it and push it against its limits. She needed Eira to hold firm if she genuinely wanted to belong to the Future Empress.

While Eira knew somewhat of the importance of touching and connecting through physical acts for the Echani. This was something she held special in terms of there would be no one else she would do this for. At least not without a large demand upfront on it. Eira was more likely to demand this from others than to actually offering her skills. However, the attention to detail and her precision while executing the care.

When Eira took this level of care in grooming someone else, she did so with the highest of effects and skills she had. It was not a task she half assed as some might assume in the demeanour of the somewhat feral apprentice.

Her challenge was not met with open curiosity. Nothing that Eira could sense at least, however, she was sure there was some level of Quinn that was intrigued. Even if just morbidly curious to see how far Eira would go if nothing more. However, it was something Eira took note of that her Master did not indulge in such curiosities.

Ambition was a red fire burning hot in Eira's eyes. There was no question on whether Eira would allow half measures be a thing that happened in her control. "If you had read my mind, perhaps you would have seen how fully measured I am with my goals in life." There was now a mischievous glint in her eye. The apprentice constantly aimed to toe the line of teasing and ambitious.

Her face instinctively leaned into the gentle touches from Quinn's hand. Enjoying the softer touch against her skin.

Her face slightly winced at the burning sensation. It was the few sensations of pain that Eira disliked. However, she knew that something was being placed that was not a burn mark. Eira had inklings of an idea but it was not a Force she knew nor had found research on yet.

"You'll have to teach me how to do that someday." Eira stated in something barely louder than a whisper as her half lidded eyes looked up to Quinn.

Rising up, Eira moved closer and leaned in most of the way to kiss Quinn on the lips. Hovering just before they could connect, breathing in deeply, she was curious in how Quinn would take such a bold move from the apprentice. Then Eira planted a soft, gentle passionate kiss. Holding back on the raw, fiery passion she was known for. Eira selected a soft touch.

Breaking the kiss, she gave a firm nibble on Quinn's bottom lip. "I am glad you are alive, Master. Maybe someday, we can try a kiss more akin to my dreams of us kissing." Eira teased with a soft giggle. Using her actual, softer voice in talking now.

Unable to keep the deep front going in this select moment.

Quinn observed her apprentice with quiet intensity. Eira was predictable, or so Quinn thought—an enigma wrapped in certainty. The younger woman craved attention, almost to the point of desperation, and Quinn had long since noticed the subtle, nearly imperceptible ways Eira sought validation. It was a dynamic Quinn had never experienced before. Eira was her first student, yet their bond's weight felt different.

She contemplated the apprentice's movements, watching how the shift in Eira's stance betrayed her intention. The deepened tone of her voice was meant to command and exert dominance, yet Quinn knew her better than Eira expected. The balance between Master and Apprentice was delicate, and Quinn carefully drew the line for the roles they were to play. Eira wanted to erase that line.

Eira's boldness was unmistakable; she was a Sith. The woman was unrelenting in pursuing what she wanted. Quinn could sense something more in her: a desire to possess, to claim her Master in a way that transcended an apprentice's loyalty.

Quinn did not flinch as Eira leaned in closer. She didn't pull away and allowed the girl to continue her pursuit. Quinn felt the tenderness as their lips met, but the Princess didn't return the kiss immediately. Instead, she let the moment linger, contemplating the intent behind the kiss. Was it an act of temptation, or was Eira's unspoken way of offering loyalty to the future Empress?

The question was answered, and Quinn's hand found its place beneath Eira's chin, guiding her deeper into the kiss as she finally kissed back. Instead of a deep passion, Quinn returned the kiss with a gentleness that was at odds with the power she wielded. Through the kiss, Quinn conveyed her gratitude and a promise. A promise of protection, mentorship, and the future she saw for her apprentice. Eira would soon become a weapon in the Empress's hand that she would wield to claim the throne.

When the kiss broke, a smile pulled at Quinn's lips as she chuckled playfully. Eira's words held no surprise, for Quinn had already sensed the sincerity beneath the younger woman's façade. It was the sound of Eira's true self, unguarded and vulnerable.

"I am, too," Quinn whispered, her voice a soft caress reaching into the depths of Eira's soul. She could feel their bond growing stronger and into something unbreakable. Quinn's thumb brushed over the corner of Eira's lip where she had marked her, her smile turning almost playful, but her words carried the seriousness of a teacher. "The burning you felt? That's a Dathomirian spell. It's called a blood trail. I'll always know where you are."

Her gaze met Eira's. "A drop of my blood, infused with my Force essence, stains your flesh. I hide it so that no one but us can sense it just in case something happens to you."

Quinn's voice softened, becoming a quiet promise. "I'll always bring you home, my dear apprentice."

The temptation to shift things up, to slowly climb onto the bed and straddle Quinn. Position herself on top, sitting on the Sith Lord to lean in close and whisper into Quinn's ear from the teasing position. It was part of the thoughts that lingered in her mind. Eira was keen on pushing to the line, toeing it was much as possible and seeing what Quinn would allow her to get away with. There was a deep respect that Eira would never cross the line but pushing against it, it was Eira's way of acting a little rebellious and demonstrating that she was more than a disciple, a weapon, she was a woman who held and desired a deeper connection with Quinn.

If Quinn was interested in sharing such a connection.

As Quinn rubbed her lips, Eira kissed and nibbled on the thumb. Keeping the moment intimate and making sure the embers of this connection were not loss in the moment. Though it was clear looking into the fiery eyes of Eira she was watching, observing and listening to Quinn. She was teasing her mentor in the moment but the lesson was never going to be lost on her. Dathomirian Magick. Eira had some vague knowledge on the arts but she hadn't explored the books on other Force cultures since she was so focused on ensuring she understood the Sith best she could. Making sure her studies allowed her to understand those she was surrounded by currently.

However, a way to track her, ensure she was never lost to Quinn. It was good and it showed how much Quinn cared about Eira. Something that Eira was not used to and was not sure how to demonstrate her appreciation for besides the more obvious ways. However, she knew that Quinn was unlikely wanting Eira in that manner, not yet at least. Her hand reached up and caressed Quinn's forearm, sliding down slowly till Eira's hand held Quinn's.

Eira turned and then kissed Quinn's palm. "Thank you for that promise." Eira stated in her true voice, one that was soft, feminine and very clearly accented as someone from a farmland on Dantooine. "I wish there was a way I could share my appreciation with you... That wasn't the obvious desirable way I wish to do so currently." Eira teased in her soft voice as there was a hunger of desire for Quinn in Eira's red eyes. She breathed in deeply as she controlled her crazed lusts.
