I use my droid for...

In Umbris Potestas Est
Cyracuse-class Drone Carrier

Circe sat back in her comfy chair. She was pondering over the existence, and the rationale of all she had done, or would ever do. What sort of real impact upon the universe would she have? These and many more questions regarding life, the universe, and everything else in it were rushing through her head as she awaited for the arrival of one of her projects - Aisha Savan, an older HRD she had developed prior to SARI's body being grown.

Apparently she was defective. More than likely her previous master was just stupid.

Aisha wandered the halls of the ship. She looked slightly... normal and unhindred by what happened. She was forced to go back to her creator, seeing how the buyer felt rather insecure on how she delt with things. So, she might have went overboard and broke someones arm for throwing a rock at her buyer. Big deal, the guy slightly deserved it. Eventually she made it to where her creator was, and went to remain by the door.

"Did I do something I shouldn't have?" Her voice sounded calm, almost peaceful.

Circe looked up at the droid, motioning for her to come and sit down in the chair next to her current seat. "Aisha... While the guy was screaming on the floor, screaming bloody murder about how death was an alternative to the pain he was feeling, you took that as him wanting to die, and killed him. I mean, his head got wrenched off his body. That's not something you're supposed to do..." She sighed, scooting over in her own chair.

"Sit down here. I suppose I have to give you a new job now."

She closed her eyes and sighs. "How was I suppose to know what he ment?" The droid would go over and sits next to her creator. Job? ...She likes what she was made to be. She would go to turn the chair, going to face her creator, and stares at her in the eyes. "What job do you want me to do?" Hopefully it involved inflicting pain on others.

"I expected you would be able to determine the emotional inflection of his voice that he was cursing and whatnot - the sort of thing that people do." She frowned. "It seems that my initial programming of you so you could understand humanity didn't work out so hot." Motioning for the droid to sit down, she brought forth a fuzzy blanket. "You are going to learn about texture."

Fuzzy, fuzzy texture.

"I am not like you, I did not have years to understand what emotions are. I am. . .sorry? is. . .that the word I'm looking for?" She has paused, and went to shake her head slightly. She then went to resume what she spoke up. "For what I have done. I thought he wanted to die." She takes note of the blanket and seems rather puzzled by it. "Texture?"

"It's alright. We can always simply do some reprogramming of your subroutines in order to ensure a swift realization of how things normally go." She smiled. "Yes, texture. This is what's called a fuzzy blanket. It receives its name of being a fuzzy blanket because of the texture. Similar to how grit paper feels rough and gritty, or how solid rock has no 'give' in it. Go ahead, wrap yourself up in it."

If Aisha accidentally tore it, though...

She would try her best to not rip it, but the painful sound of something tearing was heard. "Oops. . ." She did feel how soft the texture of the blanket was. She would continue to have that blank stare. Clearly not understanding the importance of the blanket. All she knew is the fabric. Luckily though, she stopped before it got too ripped. The damage is clearly repairable. ". . . .Sorry?"

She froze. Absolutely froze. Had her creation just torn the absolute most fuzzy blanket in the entire galaxy? She looked at the tear, however small it was, and sighed, frustrated that her creation had ruined something exceptionally important to her. And then she remembered that a quick ultrasonic weld could fix the torn fabric, making it as good as new.

"Sigh... Well, I suppose this might be repairable. Please be more careful next time."

"I am. . .sorry?" She sounds as if shes not, but thats because she lacks human emotions. Eventually the android would wrap herself up in the blanket, and thankfully, didn't create anymore tears. She did feel how fluffy and warm the blanket was, and noticed how... attached she was to it. "Is there something else you would wish for me to do, Creator?"

"Come over here and give me some snuggles." This brought her back to what she once had done a long time ago - she had practically adopted Aleidis Ijet, done what she could to ensure that she followed a different path from Circe herself. And yet the young woman had disappeared on her - she hadn't seen her in ages, and the Ghostling was presumed dead. A tear came to the corner of Circe's eye as she wrapped her arms around the blanket-enraptured android.

"I'm... I'm sorry. You just bring back good memories."

At first she just sat there, unsure as what a 'snuggle' was. "I'm sorry, I don't understand." Her Android would continue to just sit there. It wasn't untill after the hug that she knew what was going on. "Oh. . ." Then again, she just remained sitting how she was. She wouldn't move away though, doing slightly as what her creator has asked her to do. "Memories?" She turned her head, going to stare at her. "What memories? I remember just being created a few months ago."

"This is snuggling." She smiled. "Wrapping your arms around something nice, and warm, and fuzzy..." She closed her eyes, letting herself soak in the fuzziness and softness of the blanket wrapped around her creation. And then she asked about the memories - it was time for Circe to explain. "You just... This reminds me of someone that I used to know. I haven't seen her in a very long time, and hope that she's safe. Because if she isn't... I may be somewhat to blame."

Well, probably not, but Aleidis being gone did concern her greatly.

"Snuggling. . ." She repeated the word a few times. Not really understanding it still. "I don't get it." The droid would continue her blank stare. She hears out the rest of what she has to say, and just shrugs. "I, remind you of someone? Did she manage to kill someone as well?" She bluntly stated. "Or does she lack emotions like myself?"

"You will when I'm done reprogramming you." She smiled. "You remind me of a young woman I once knew and helped raise. Her name was [member="Aleidis Ijet"]. In a very short period of time, she became the most prolific Jedi of them all - Master at age 18, Supreme Chancellor... She even killed Velok and destroyed the Darkstaff. Then she disappeared. I've wanted to get back in contact with her, but I have no idea what's happened to her.

Circe frowned, a bit unhappy by the young woman's loss. She had probably forgotten about Circe by now. The woman still kept a spare inertial inhibitor around in the event that she popped up once more.

Her Android just simply nodded, and sat there. Reprogramming was something that she did not really enjoy, but if it helps her understand Creator, then she would have to deal with it. "Did you create her, like you did me?" Clearly Aisha lacked something fierce about humanity, and others like so. "I could try to find her for you Creator. ...Though, I... am unsure of the current state she would be in when I do find, and bring her to you."

"I didn't, no." She frowned. "She was a Ghostling, a rare species of near-humans. They're rare because they happen to be extraordinarily fragile and will quite literally disintegrate if hugged. Only my giving her an inertial inhibitor, to compensate for the hugs I gave her, was what saved her life, if you can believe that." She sighed. "But the past is the past. Can't change that. Don't find her. Just, I dunno... enjoy the fuzzy blanket."

She hears out the explanation, and just simply nods her head. "So if I do find her, and attempt at anything, she will die?" Again, her droid spoke with no emotion, not having a care in the world. "I don't understand. At any rate, are you going to fix me? I'd... rather like it if I went back to doing what you made me for." She moved her head down, looking at the fuzzy blanket. It had a special meaning to her Creator, that might be the only reason of why she is currently using this. That, and she was told to.

"Unless she puts an inertial inhibitor on, yes. You'll disintegrate her." She sighed. "But don't go on a hunt for her. I suppose the reprogramming will be needed to debug you. You're only at Version 1.7.3 after all. Still working on the v2 update." The v2 update would be able to give her a greater understanding of how humans responded, hopefully, with emotional capabilities. She was using code copied from SARI as a base template. Hopefully it would all work out.

Then again, with her luck...

She would slowly nod her head, understanding what Creator has spoken of. "...Did you pay the man back for what I have done to him?" She curiously had asked. Death wa sjust another part of life, but she did not understand what death was. Truly she killed him, but half of her mind wondered if he was meerly sleeping, or dreaming. "I mean, He did want his money back, right?"
