I Want a Million of Me...and Her

Nemene stepped off her star yacht with a healthy air of confidence floating around her. Dressed in fine blue silks and a dark black robe to guard against the rain she quickly made her way off of the wet platform and towards the building in front of her. No one was outside to greet her of course, she didn't expect them to be in this weather. As soon as the automatic door's slid open however three people immediately greeted her.

One was a scientist, that much was easy to tell from his stereotypical lab coat and glasses, and the other two were administrators of some kind. Each of them was human with sharp features, but each of them were distinct, definitely not clones.

“Your Majesty, welcome to Soledad, it is an honor to have you here.”

The man who stood in front took a deep respectful bow and she smiled slightly, at least they had manners. She so enjoyed when people had manners, it made her usually simmering anger quiet down quite a bit. Gracefully she nodded in response to the man, a slight dip of her head in acknowledgment.

“Thank you for accommodating me, I know you must not get these requests often.” She smiled looking from the man to the scientist besides him. Her reason for being here was quite easy, she was here to learn. Soledad was a planet filled with geneticists and cloners, people who specialized in the creation of biological copies. Nemene quite simply, wanted to learn their craft.

She Knew anatomy and physiology better than most doctors, but genetics escaped even her...for now. She was hoping to rectify that here. Suddenly she realized the man was speaking again.

“...Please if you'll follow us, we'll begin the tour.”

Nemene smiled and nodded, as if she had been listening the entire time. The small group quickly moved forward, and into the facility. This would be fun.

The planet of Soledad, he had been here in the past and that day was still engraved in his memories. Bloody, dirty and muddy the memories were. But at least something useful had come from it, some facilities had been captured by his own forces and as such they were still working for him.

Not that anyone knew about that, it had been a subtle take-over. The clones had still undergone the usual flashing of their memories and as such they worshiped Lady Dharma. But somewhere... deep in their routines, their loyalty was his.

Today was a day of routine, just checking up on a few facilities, budget checks and get to meet a new batch of clone troopers. At least that had been the plan, until he noticed an interesting addition to the scenery.

Graceful as ever, Jared almost glided towards the small group of people. Seemed to be some sort of tour? Interesting.

As he stepped into view, the men accompanying the woman immediately bowed before him.

“Your Lordship, w-we had not been.. notified of your visit.”

“Just the way I like it, Dalmar.”

Then he smiled one of his smiles, as he regarded Lady Nemene. The memories of their duel were still fresh and what a duel it had been.

“My Lady Talith, how can I and my facilities help you?”

“It's Majesty now actually.” She said with a wry tone. She had had absolutely no idea that Jared was in charge of this facility, but the news delighted her somewhat. She had fought the man, and to her displeasure had lost, but she had found that in victory the man had been quite pleasant. Finding him here now would serve to her advantage, especially given what she was trying to learn.

In the end after all, it might benefit him just as much as it benefited her.

“I'm here to receive and education of sorts. I have my doctorate, and i'm looking to diversify” She made it sound simple, but then one wouldn't expect any less from a woman like her. What she said was true of course, she did in fact have a Doctorate from not one but two universities. When Moridin had seen to her education, he had seen that she pursued her interests, and she had.

Of course, neither of those doctorates were being used for their proper purpose. She preferred the...darker exploits of her physiological knowledge. After all, slicing people open was so much more fun than putting putting them back together. “Perhaps you'd like to assist?”

Her voice was cool, almost as if what she said was hardly a question.

"Yes I would like to." I spoke to both of them. Leaning up against a wall, as the two dicotors would lead her, she seemed somewhat familiar, and Jared A lord of the Fringe, Right by me, I decided that it was time to learn how to get more people with less effort. I had many reasons for being here. Though most of them were of my own decisions, I wanted to learn how to clone others. I knew some about the anonymity of a human body. Considering that I didn't have a great education, I knew alot more than others who would have been in the same situation. I hoped that by cloning I could learn other powers that can, shall we say amplify, my wanting of soldiers. I had simple Fringe troops that were good and strong, but That was when I was with the fringe. here, I wanted something else.

Walking towards them, I nodded my to Jared and this chance of an lifetime. maybe from here I can delve into more, producing endeavors. "That is if you don't mind in my joining with you two."

Majesty, huh. The girl has been to places it seemed, while they had been apart. Say one thing about Nemene Talith, say she knows how to take care of herself. Regardless, his interest was piqued and his own business could wait for now. He would play the elegant host for now.

“Well, you will have to tell me all about your ascendancy to the Throne, your Majesty.”

His tone was one-fourth mock, three-quarters teasing and... well you do the math, the rest was genuine pleasure of meeting her again. As he gestured to her, he continued.

“My facilities are yours to use, Nemene. Now, what is it you have in mind?”

If Jared could do one thing, it is smell profit in things and he could definitely smell some kind of opportunity here. Just as they were about to go, someone else asked for his attention. It seemed a Shaper had found his way to his world, Morna himself nonetheless.

“You too, are always welcome, Morna. Follow me.”

“We caused quite the ruckus.” Nemene said almost absent minded as they began to walk through the facility. A tour would be nice, but eventually she would need to get her hands on more extensive data, which she was sure Jared would provide. She would also need to pay a visit to another world, but that would come later. She peered around the corner and viewed several scientists, her eyes shifting then looking about again.

The tour would be a long one, though she wondered just how much she could learn even here with simple instruction. Perhaps other means would have to be employed, more suited to her nature.

She purred slightly. “We need a guard. Not Rattataki, half of them would like nothing more than to see us dead. Not droids, useless mechanical twits, and not clones made by others...too many hidden programs. I would learn the craft myself, and then create the perfect specimen.”

She smiled as she told Jared her plans, though not all of them of course.

Following behind the two, I kept an open ear and mind to that of making of these plans. Jared said that I was welcome to come, I only nodded my head once.

Continuing after them, I heard that the Sith lady wanted to not have people that would be disloyal to her. and that was my own mind as well. Thinking of how I wanted troops to be loyal to me as well. And seeing as how I needed all the troops that I could get for...... my own ideas, this was a good idea for me.

"Perfect specimen in whose eyes? I know not of who you are miss, but let me say that what you have a vision for one, may be different for another. Tread carefully, for you can gain and lose by making your 'Perfect specimen"

For a while Jared just walked, considering the hidden request Nemene asked of him. Truthfully, there was a lot he knew and did not know about cloning. Santhe Corporation controlled approximately 90% of the Cloning Facilities of Kamino, very profitable venture, especially if you consider the recent rise in demand for the clones.

Dreadguards... they called themselves, why they had wished to Vongshape them afterwards was beyond Jared. Seemed a waste of a good clone, but it was not Jared's place to question the judgment of his clients. Especially if said client was the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

At any rate, she asked of him valuable knowledge, what would they give him in return.. both of them.

“Ordering clones would not be a problem, standard fee... maybe a friendly discount. But your request is an unusual my dear, I suppose both of you wish to learn the art? Now that I know what you want me to part with, consider telling me what I stand here to gain.”

And that was Jared Ovmar. Always looking for the edge, it was in his blood and in his soul. Ever since he left the Underworld, he knew one thing. Never give anything up for free, only a fool or a beggar gave things away for free.

Nemene purred slightly, perhaps this would be simpler than she thought.

“I already have the knowledge of the anatomies of a thousand species. I know the complete make up of Zeltrons, Twi'leks, and even Hutts. I could take apart and put together countless species by simply looking at them. I can heal almost any ailment and fix almost any problem, no matter the race. I learned how to do most of this all of this by the age of 18. Imagine if I put this creative little mind to something like creating one of these species.” She let the implication settle in for a second.

While she knew the anatomy and physiology of most species and knew how to fix most things with them, this was something completely and entirely different. Cloning came down to base genes, a completely different set of skills. It was something that Nemene would need time to learn, but once she did learn it she could combine the two knowledge bases to do something truly grand.

She let another few moments pass and then she spoke. “At your disposal would be a cloner who knows not only the make-up of Human clones, but a thousand species, and how to improve them.”

The Admiralty
“An very interesting notion, but while I would have a skilled cloner. I would not have one whose loyalty I commanded, which makes it a far less valuable commodity. I have cloners, Nemene, very good cloners I might add.”

The Kaminoan people were probably as good as she was, and even if they were not. A loyal subject was worth more to him, than an exceptionally skilled one. At least for now.

“What else can you offer me?”

She let out a chuckle. At least he was intelligent.

“I suppose you have enough money.” Nemene tapped the side of her face slightly, a smirk growing on her lips as she thought about all the things she had to offer. It slowly faded however and her mind returned back to the more realistic side of things. She thought for a second more, then she remembered who she was speaking to. A personal favor for a personal favor.

She smiled slightly, and then regarded him with blazing orange eyes. “Tell me Maser Ovmar. Do you like secrets?”

Nemene had many secrets, many of her fathers secrets. If she wanted to learn something, perhaps Jared would like to learn as well.

The Admiralty
Ah... secrets. Now she spoke his language. Jared looked back at Morna for a second, it would not do to have him wandering around and listening into private affairs.

“Morna, forgive me, but this has to be done in private. If you wish, my men can give you a standard tour of the facilities. But I am afraid you won't be able to learn much of that, what if you come back another time? We will talk about the possibilities then?”

He offered his arm to Nemene then and together they left for his office, nothing to fancy. Picture a one in a dozen Corporate Corner Office, on the highest floor. Jared never spent much time in here, he preferred Annaj, maybe 244Core and then there was Lianna..

At any rate, he sat down in his big chair and offered Nemene a seat as well.

“Maybe I do.”

He did not say any more, sometimes.. it was better to let your opponent do the talking. And this was a duel. With words mayhaps, but a duel with an opponent still.

Nemene sat down in a comfortable office chair, crossing her legs in a smooth liquid motion then allowing her hands to come to rest in her lap. She smiled slightly, an almost coy smile. This was something she would greatly enjoy.

“I happen to love them.” Her words were soft, and almost musical in nature, as if she was attempting to entrance him with simple words. “My Father did as well.”

The mere mention of Moridin was enough to send shivers up most peoples spines. The former Emperor of the Sith was renown galaxy wide for his slaughter of the Mandalorians and constant battling with both the Republic, and other Sith. Many knew him, and many in the Fringe knew that Nemene was his daughter, and true heir. Simply evoking such a thing was usually enough to impress.

“We used to share secrets. Though mine always paled in comparison to his.” She smiled again, that coy knowing smile.

The Admiralty
Oh had he heard of Moridin... Betrayer of Hope, they had called him. The Immortal. Dreadlord and God of the Sith. Pretty names, Jared reckoned. In a previous life, he would have denied any connection and kicked Nemene out of his office.

Maybe even slit her throat for good measure. But that was before. Jared had traveled to far, and done to much. No way back, so why not go the extra few miles? Maybe at the end he could transcend.. a discussion for another time. He doubted Nemene would know how to accomplish that, and if she did she would not share that knowledge with him.

Not for some cloning knowledge at least.

She was a pretty little thing, though he preferred Evelynn. Crazy crazy Evelynn, now that had been a pleasant meeting. For some reason he doubted this one would end the same way.

Again, he wondered how much Moridin would have have shared with his daughter. Then again, might be there was something useful. It was a shame her mental barriers were that strong, would take ages to penetrate them all and rip all the knowledge out of that pretty head of hers..

Why... was he even thinking about that, she was a valuable ally. Keep it together, Jared. Keep it together.

“I see.”

Non-committal response. Jared was infuriating, to say the least.

“A secret...” She paused for a few seconds as she looked around, she did not seem to be bothered by his non-committal responses, in fast they seemed to amuse her more than anything. She was the Queen of negotiations. She had outwitted her father on more than one occasion and had been bred for politics ever since she had been a small child, there was no beating her in the game of negotiations, especially when she wanted something as badly as she wanted this. “For a secret.”

Her words were once again closer to a purr, enticing as a sweet.

She knew that Moridins knowledge was too much to pass up for most people. Perhaps a Jedi or someone born of the light would scoff at ever learning the techniques of a Sith, but she doubted that Jared was so, in fact she knew he was not. Moridin had left her much, almost everything in fact, though there were a few bits missing.

She cursed herself momentarily for not having her fathers holocron.

Still, her father had told her many of secrets, the forging of artifacts, the creation of his Sith Swords, the path one had to take in order to transcend death. Nearly all of it was beyond her capabilities of course, her strength in the force was that of a mouse. Yet she remembered her fathers lessons all too well, and the steps one needed to learn all those techniques were ingrained in her mind as well as strongly as the bond with Evelynn.

She knew it all.

The Admiralty
Again he was tempted to just rip all the information out of that pretty head of hers, she seemed to know far more than he would expect her to and there was so much to learn.. but where to start.. where to start. Simple fact of the matter was that things as immortality and the such were useless to him now.

Even if he would know the secret, he would not be able to reproduce it now. His strength came nowhere close to that of the Dark Lord Moridin, he knew this. Instead, there had to be something that could be of use -now-

Simple fact of the matter was this though... he did not know what she knew and did not know. More importantly, he had no clue how extensive Moridin's knowledge was on everything. It was not as easy as just telling her what he wanted to know. What if she possessed something more valuable than that..

Jared controlled the Cloning Market, if he did not directly control it; he held an interest in it. So it would be a simple matter to just deny her the access she wished for. This made his bargaining position strong, but the fact that he did not know what there was to learn.. it made it weaker.

“Secrets.. interesting notion, my dear. But secrets are just that.. how would I know that you were not keeping something from me? How would I know there was something more.. valuable in your possession.”
And what he sought was power, not the kind of power politicians or rich boys dreamed off. It was the power to rule, rule anything he wished. Seemingly she knew that already though, was he that transparent? Sometimes he forgot she was the brood of Moridin, perhaps because her strength in the Force was nothing to speak off.
But the sharpness of her mind.. yes, he could see how the inherited that from the infamous Dread Lord.

“Of course there is.” Nemene admitted as she crossed her legs the other way, placing her hands gently into her own lap with a placid smile on her face. She could sense Jareds need for power, see it, feel it. It was the feeling of a man wanting something greater, it was the feeling of a man needing something more. Nemene knew that feeling well, it was a feeling that had clung to her father more than anything else. Power was everything after all.

“There is always a bigger secret, but secrets are the nature of the Sith. I would never give you an inch more than you ask for.” Her eyes shifted around the office for a second, then returned to him. “Nor expect more in return.”

Nemene smiled at him for a few more seconds, then spoke again, her voice almost sultry. “You just have to make sure to ask for the right thing.”

It was the truth. Though Nemene was Sith, she was an honest Sith. When she made a deal she stuck to it and she would answer any question he had and teach him any one technique he wanted to know. Though of course...depending on what he asked it could take time...quite a bit of time.

There were no honest Sith. It was a thing that did not exist, at least that was Jared's opinion on the matter. Regardless they would have a deal, learning the delicate art of cloning was not a simple matter. It would take months, maybe years before she would have perfected her skill. In the meanwhile... Jared would figure out what he exactly wished to know, and then he would cash in the favor.

He chuckled at the tone of her voice, she sure was something. Negotiating like a.. Queen, but Jared did not mind her play her games. If she liked doing that, who was he to judge her.

“Mmm, point taken. Still, how much do you already know of the art of cloning?”

“More than the amateurs, less than the masters.” Was the coy answer than Jared received. It was the truth however. By all accounts Nemene was somewhat of a genius. She understood medicine and the human body better than most people who had studied it for twice her life time. Though her knowledge more lay in taking the body apart, rather than putting it back together...at least when it came to surgical tools anyway, force healing was different entirely.

She smiled slightly then continued. “When something interests me Master Ovmar, I study it. I learn all I can and become ravenous for more. I have already done so with cloning. I have already...dabbled in the creation of small animals, Womp Rats, Mynocks, and even an Akk Dog. Now I want to move on to something...bigger.”

Again that smile appeared on her face, elusive.

“For that I need a peek at how its done. Properly.” And there was no one more proper in cloning than Kaminoans.

The Admiralty
Proper work huh. It seemed the little girl wished to learn the art from the Kaminoan masters themselves, smart.. quite smart. His face had a slight frown on it, and yet.. there was a soft smile playing on his lips. Seemed the girl knew what she was on about, plus to her he reckoned.

“You will have the best facilities open to you... here.”

She would have to come with her special request herself.
