Appearance: Standing six feet tall, average weight -- he blends in easily with the crowd. He is on the lean side, his build is lightly toned, but not very muscular. Desert living has given him tanned skin, and sand-colored hair that tends to lighten if he goes without a hat. He has blue eyes, and usually wears his facial hair a bit on the scruffy side.

Personality: Many consider him to be good company, he is generally pleasant, and quite charismatic. He has a good sense of humor, and a penchant for pranks. Ian dislikes doing difficult work -- if it looks hard to do, he’d rather not be bothered to try. On that same note, he struggles to stay motivated. He’s the type that needs to be asked to perform a task at least twice, and then he might get around to it. But if he doesn’t -- it’s not because he’s trying to be lazy, he probably just plain forgot. He means well, and does want to do right by people, but often falls through on commitments.
COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon of Choice: A standard blaster pistol will do.
Combat Function: While he may be able to hold his own in a bar fight, he’d rather not get messed up by someone larger or stronger. He generally avoids combat, but would fight if pressed, or trying to defend someone he cares about.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Ian was born and raised near Mos Eisley. Growing up, his family had the essentials, but not much else. Much of their income went back into running their shipping business. His father was often absent for periods of time, but Ian always knew that it was because he was providing for the family the best way he knew how. He had two older sisters, and often remarked that it was like growing up with three mothers -- he was bossed around constantly. Tasks that went unfinished, and his lazy ways certainly didn’t help matters. But overall, his family life was fairly stable.
He grew up near Valae Kitra, the two were friends, but were not especially close. However, their relationship changed drastically during their late teens. As life deteriorated at home, Valae would often seek out Ian’s company. He would offer her a steady shoulder to cry on, and helped any time she needed to haul Atticus Kitra home from the cantina. The two got along well, and did date a time or two. However, things always seemed to end rather bitterly. But Ian knew that he loved Valae, he especially felt it after they broke up.
Through their early twenties, the two saw each other less, but remained friends. There were many missed opportunities to express his feelings, but Ian decided to keep quiet. He recognized that there was a chance for Valae to find someone better than he was, even if that thought left him feeling a bitter. And though he would never readily admit it, his feelings were hurt when Valae had left for Voss -- she hadn’t had time to tell him beforehand.
Now, he works for his father’s company, but keeps to Tatooine as much as possible. Ian tries to find little reasons to visit the Kitra Scrap Yard whenever Valae happens to be visiting, and he is slowly putting his plan into action. It is his hope that he will be able to win back her affection.
