Which started the whole world crying
A form of preference.
Change of Face: Just as all Shi’ido, enhanced by genetic altercation, Icarn can shift their physical form to that of nearly anything. It’s perfect for infiltration, ideal for assassination, and essential for a quick escape.
Deadly Force: Icarn doesn’t play around. This is a being who has no qualms using violence to get what they want and has the means to enact it. One might even say they enjoy it.
It's all in the head: A fairly skilled mentalist and natural telepath, they're one to play with their enemies before they strike, even going so far as to hold entire conversations with them in the process.
Accelerated Healing: Experimentation can do all sorts of wonderful things. From giving Icarn an enhanced control over skinshifting, to supplying the skinshifter with just a taste of Anzati regenerative abilities. It's not all fun and games, however. With this healing comes the bloodlust that perhaps inspires the insanity of what should've been a much more peaceful individual.
WEAKNESSES.
Pride: The number of living souls that have seen Icarn’s true face could be counted on ones’ hands. Considering their own face to be one of the more revolting ones they've seen, there’s no telling how far they'll go to hide it, even at the cost of their own well being.
Wrath: Possessing a temper like nobody's business, Amonta is most assuredly one who’d turn on their own underlings if they were becoming a pain. Get them riled up, and they'll sacrifice judgment for results.
Envy: One who holds themself to a high standard, they don't take well to those who threaten their position. Not well at all, actually. Get them in the right mood and they'll go way out of their way to spell ruin for others, even if it doesn't stand to directly help them. So long as Icarn's deprived them of their joy, they're content.
Gluttony: With genes of Anzat inserted into their genome with the intention of giving them regenerative capabilities, they developed a rather unusual but by no means surprising side effect. While they'll never know the taste of soup, they possess at least some form of that insatiable hunger.
Lust: While more likely than not entirely done in jest, Icarn isn't own to shy away from using a body to get what they want. This being could mimic any look, it's only fitting that they'd be willing to use it. As for whether or not they actually have a preference or even interest beyond just forcing others into their games, the galaxy may never know.
Sloth: As fickle as one of their skill comes, they have no obligations to do more than the bare minimum if they aren't feeling a project. One wouldn't put it past them to blow off an employer completely if they're having a particular kind of day.
Greed: Icarn demands the finer things in life. That would explain why they're always working. Or why they're not opposed to using dirty tricks to get the maximum award. If there's something they want, they're going to get it one way or another.
But I didn't see
PERSONALITY.While no one has had the opportunity to properly psychoanalyze the creature, very few would peg Icarn as anything other than a deeply disturbed individual. While some would find their personality to be about as variable as their appearance, many would find a fairly constant pattern. In a good mood, they're sociable, almost helpful. Catch them on a bad day, however, and they will do whatever's in their immediate power to make all those around them suffer with them. Vindictive, arrogant, and far too talkative, they are absolutely one to act out in anger, often forgoing common sense in the process.
A BEGINNING.
Till death do us part, but we're already past that phase.
Much of Icarn's exact origins have been lost to time, perhaps for the best. Yet regardless of who they once were or wanted to be, at one point, they wound up on an operating table. Several operating tables. A child of variability, potential given form, they were the prime candidate for scientists who focussed more on whether they could versus whether they should. All too quickly, this blank slate of possibility became warped, turned by the tests that would enhance the being physically. Mentally, or more so morally, however, they were lost. Nevertheless, the creature of variable remained just that, a wildcard.
So what if I misbehave? It's what everybody craves.
Virtually untamed when left to their own devices, they went from one odd job to another. Serving as a spy, assassin, and whatever else made the credits. Eventually, however, independence's clock ran short and once again Icarn found themself to be someone else's pet project. With memories erased and replaced time and time again, Icarn continued to exist as a living definition of a blank slate. Always the puppet, often playing at being the puppet master.Just concede and give in to your inner demons again.
That the joke was on me.
