SETTING INFORMATION
⇌ Structure Name: Ice Station Beta
⇌ Classification: Research and development facility
⇌ Location: Anteevy
⇌ Affiliation:
⇌ Accessibility: Ice Station Beta is a maximum-security Imperial research and development facility that is well defended. High-level security clearance is required to access the station. An on-site garrison of Imperial stormtroopers and range troopers patrol the icy plains beyond the gorge where the station is situated using a variety of repulsorlift vehicles and walkers. Exterior blast doors and interior energy gates allow for individual sections of the station to be cordoned in the event of an emergency or attack. Potent dioxis dispensers can be remotely activated in enclosed cordons, eliminating intruders caught between blast doors or energy gates. A powerful sensor net and slicer energy field discourage both physical and digital infiltration of the facility.
⇌ Description: A triangular structure constructed in an icy gorge on Anteevy. Ice Station Beta consists of the main facility itself with additional outlying building surrounding it. The station is operated jointly by the Imperial Research Division and the Tarkin Initiative to undertake highly sensitive projects for the Empire and its benefactors.

POINTS OF INTEREST
FACILITIES
⇌ Cargo Bay: A square outbuilding connected to the main terminal of the station via a supply tunnel and integrated footpath. Cargo and supplies delivered to the station are unloaded on the bay’s landing platform and transported to the station via cargo sleds. A security checkpoint sits at the entrance of the supply tunnel to verify security clearance for any crew or personnel seeking to access the station.
⇌ Garrison: Several rectangular barracks, complete with bunk rooms, latrines, locker rooms, and other amenities. Adjacent to the living quarters is a standalone rec center, mess hall, and infirmary. Stormtroopers and non-essential support personnel are housed in the garrison and have full access to the barracks and its auxillary facilities.
⇌ Motor Pool: A centralized location for Imperial ground vehicles to be stored safely from subzero conditions. The station has a complement of speeder bikes, scout walkers, and repulsorlift tanks which operate from the motor pool. Technicians and crewmen upkeep the motor pool, ensuring that vehicles are adequately maintained for routine patrols or point defense.
EXTERIOR
⇌ Cooling Towers: Dedicated cooling towers mitigate the risk of overheating throughout the facility. Superheated water is cycled through the cooling towers and dispersed into the station, acting as a natural and efficient heating element.
⇌ Landing Pads: A trio of landing pads on the roof of the station provide ample space for shuttles to land and refuel. Only ships with proper clearance may dock here. Hydraulic lifts allow the landing pads to recess beneath blast doors that can seal overhead, protecting docked craft from the elements.
⇌ Sensor Relays: Interconnected relays along the perimeter form a powerful sensor net, discouraging infiltration.
INTERIOR
⇌ Administrative Wing
Command Center: A large command center in the core of the facility from which officers engineers, and security personnel monitor the station for any potential threats or incidents that might occur. From here, the status of the sensor net and slicing energy field is monitored, as well as the station's internal temperature and energy signature levels.
Conference Hall: A large meeting room where officers, engineers, and consultants gather to discuss the station's endeavors. Encrypted Holonet tethers allow remote attendance via holoprojection without fear of interference or unauthorized surveillance.
⇀ Director's Quarters: Personal lodgings for the station's director. Amenities include a bedroom suite, personal restroom and shower, kitchenette, and office space. A transparisteel window in the common room provides an impressive view of the ice plains below, stretching into a near-infinite white over Anteevy's horizon.
⇀ Officers Quarters: Personal lodgings for officers and ranking personnel. Amenities include bedroom suites, latrines, and a lounge.
Officer Stations: Free-standing security terminals along the station’s concourse from which officers can initiate a range of protocols and contingencies as needed, such as opening or closing blast doors, toggling energy gates, or sounding a klaxon alarm.
⇌ Research and Development Wing
Engineering Labs: A dedicated space for Imperial engineers to design, build, and test prototypes. Each lab is fully equipped with the latest technologies to support the engineering team.
Production Hubs: To facilitate the bulk production of specialized droids and other sensitive technologies, the station has a number of advanced production hubs. These facilities are furnished with impressive foundry equipment capable of manufacturing advanced materials and components.
⇌ Security Wing
Droid Depot: Spacious housing for the station’s complement of droid security forces. Viper droid pods and Dark Trooper storage receptacles line the depot. Various diagnostic terminals allow for technicians to monitor the status of droids in the field, as well as identify and repair damages sustained by droids on patrol.
Mainframe: Anteevy Station’s computing center is a large cylindrical space containing a circular platform that surrounds the core. Access to the mainframe is restricted to the station director, specific officers, and a dedicated team of technicians who service the core. The primary purpose of the mainframe is to process, store, and encrypt data from the R&D labs.
Station Security: Supplemental to security staff in the Command Center, the security station is a secondary hub dedicated to protecting and patrolling Anteevy Station. Troopers receive their orders and patrol routes here. Officers and engineers have their code cylinders updated daily.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Ice Station Beta, also known as Anteevy Station, has long been a valued asset to the Empire. Despite several regime changes and overturn of directors, the facility has more or less maintained a steady hand in the field of research and development, heading such programs as the Phase II Dark Trooper Project. Since those days, Ice Station Beta has faithfully supported the New Imperial Order by carrying on its tradition of great scientific and technological progress. Under the joint operation of the Imperial Research Division and the Tarkin Initiative, the facility is operating beyond expectations. Both Imperial and private interests are being explored by Director Daedalus Tarkin Daedalus Tarkin as part of the Empire’s ongoing effort to maintain corporate relations and nationalize various fields of industry.
