I'd Like That Raw Please (Mivala Fallon)

Raioballo Sector
Dantooine
Near the Grounds of the Ancient Jedi Enclave
Harrip Far
Harrip was currently taking a breather from exploring the planet. Until now he had been enjoying tracking some of the locals and beating off some Kath Hounds. But now he was taking a relaxing break. He had heard that the area he was in at the moment used to be where a Jedi Enclave had stood. He wondered if there was any truth to the rumor, as it was now an open plain with a few trees here and there. He had come to Dantooine for the flora and fauna that lived here. He had wanted to learn more of them, and in so doing hoped to learn more of the galaxy in general.

He knew that people could come upon him here, without his cloak. It was left on the grass beneath him, which he was lying on and looking up into the sky. For him it was a rare pleasure to not wear the blasted robe. It was important most of the time to hide himself from people, but some understood. Those that could understand him he did not mind showing, for they were similar. He had learned that lesson awhile ago, that even though he was unique, he wasn't alone.

I ran through the valley with my enhanced speed. No one had seen me, thankfully, and I aimed to keep it that way. I really needed to work on getting food before I was famished beyond sanity. But, unfortunately, that was what was happening. The blood of the creature grazing was not enough to quench my thirst, but to give me enough sense to run before I was caught. As I ran into an open plain, I froze where I stood. Someone was out here. And I was in plain view. So much for hiding...

Harrip smelt something nearby. He couldn't tell what it was. It had a strange and completely alien smell to his nose. He knew the smell of many many species yet this was different. He sat up, looked around, and noticed a being nearby. She looked human, but she didn't smell like one. He gave a small wave calling, "Hello there! There is no need to fear."

Harrip wondered who she was, what she was doing here, and if were hostile. She looked friendly enough, but he couldn't be sure yet.

This creature perplexed me. It seemed perfectly sentient, and yet, it looked like nothing I'd ever seen before. Cautiously, I approached it. "Are you quite sure of that?" I asked, responding to its question.
[member="Harrip"]

"Pretty sure." Harrip replied, humor could be heard in the raspy voice. He wondered what the creature was that stood there. Certainly she wasn't human, he could smell that now. His curiosity was piqued by this being. "What is you name? Is something bothering you?" He was pretty sure as to what may be distracting. His appearance was quite strange for any person to see.

I sighed. "My name is Mivala. I was just... Hunting. You startled me."
[member="Harrip"]

"Oh yah? Sorry about that. What were you hunting? If you do not mind me asking." Harrip wondered what this strange being could be hunting. Maybe some of the Iriaz, or maybe the Kath Hounds. They would be nice hunting, he would know. He had hunted them a few times, the Kath Hounds had fought pretty hard, especially when there was a pack of them.

"Grazing animals. Iriaz, I believe they are called. And... More intelligent things...." I said, hesitating. It might be best for this creature not to know of my usual prey.
[member="Harrip"]

"What sort of things? I might be able to help." Harrip stood, his tall figure bending and unbending to get to a standing position. He had in his left hand his blue robe, wrapped into a ball to protect from damage. He scratched lightly at the arm which had been healing from the fight he had had earlier. It had healed over and there was only a small scab left.

I shook my head. "No, I....I don't require assistance...." I said nervously, shifting on my feet. My hunger was beginning to gnaw at my insides. I needed blood. I NEEDED it. I could hear the creature's heartbeat. I could smell its blood. Human, mixed with something bitter. For a second, my mouth opened to let a sigh escape, exposing my fangs.

Harrip noticed the fangs of the this strange being. It was quite odd, he had never heard of a being with human appearance and fangs. "You sure? I'm pretty good at hunting." Harrip couldn't tell that she was starving, but he could see that something was wrong. The expression and the movements told something was off. "You alright? You look a little worried."

I began wringing my hands. I needed to HUNT! "No, no, I'm fine..." My voice trailed off as a new scent caught my attention. Humans. Blood.... My instincts took control. In the next instant, I was flying across the field, a group of people in my sights. I couldn't be stopped. Not in this state...

Harrip looked concernedly at the woman as she ran towards a group of people. At first he thought it might have been her running in fear of him. His shoulders slumped at the thought that she was running from him, trying to get help. But in a moment he noticed that she wasn't running in fear, her running style and the smell did not match that of fear. He knelt down and watched to see what would take place, his hunch was made. This wasn't as it seemed, there was something amiss. He felt the ground, if he leaped forth, he would be there within 5 seconds, if running at top speed.

I tackled the first human within my grasp. My teeth sank deep into his neck, and his blood poured like a refreshing river into my mouth. The others among him yelled and drew weapons. Before I could continue my meal, I would have to deal with them first. I removed my mouth from his neck and growled inhumanely at them, my instincts forcing me to defend my kill.

Harrip watched with disgust as the woman attacked the people. He hadn't guessed correctly, his assumption had been that she was looking for someone. But now that he found out what was going on he was disgusted. She was that hungry, eh. He started walking towards the carnage, not moving too fast. He wondered what she was to attack people the way she did.

The three others stared at me in horror. They appeared to be shepherds. One of the braver ones raised his blaster. My eyes locked with his. Before a shot could be fired, I had tackled him as well. Again, I bit him and began to drink. The others were too frightened to move.

Harrip's bulky, intimidating form walking steadily for the group put even more fear into the shepherds. They couldn't have escaped him anyways, his running pace would have outmatched them, but he wasn't intent on them. He was only watching [member="Mivala Fallon"] as she fed upon her prey. It was not a pretty sight, but then Rakghouls were not exactly pristine when eating either. He had seen worse during his time on Taris, feeding frenzies would erupt and then there would be carnage of everything, man, plant, and even Rakghouls. In their hunger they would turn on each other if the frenzy caught them up.

Harrip wondered why the others weren't running, surely they should run. But then he realized that the fear had petrified them. They were scared so much that they couldn't move. As he approached, he made a growl to snap them out of their terror filled trance, in a moment they were off like a shot. He could smell their fear, it was overpowering and brought with it a strange hunger. He knew instantly what it was, the Rakghoul in him was telling him to attack these people, to rend their flesh and feast upon them. It was a most gruesome thought and one that he did not enjoy thinking on. He tried to remember where his injection kit was so that he could get rid of the feeling again. As he thought he looked back at the creature that had been drinking when he last saw.

My instincts raged within me. My rational mind laid dormant as I drank vigorously from the fallen shepherd in my arms. My fingers dug into his flesh, griping him tightly. A faint moan escaped him as he was slowly dying. The man I had attacked first was fading as well, bleeding out from the deep bite I had created in his neck. My eyes were those of an animal's, with pinpoint pupils and glowing gold irises. The man beneath my teeth gave a final moan and a sigh before falling limp. When he was dry, I moved to the other man, and continued to quench my thirst.

Harrip moved beside [member="Mivala Fallon"] . He was quite interested in what exactly she was doing. She appeared to be acting like one of the old fairy tale creatures that he had heard of at one point. He couldn't remember its name, but it had been mythological. He couldn't figure out how she was akin to the creature, when the creature he thought of was not real. Yet maybe that was the grain of truth in the tales that he had heard. He asked aloud, "So. Is this what you meant?"

He wished severely he could remember the name of the creature, but this person in front of him was more important, or at least she appeared to be a person. He was not sure; she had spoke, she had logically thought through things, but she attacked sentients very ferociously. It was a blend of beast and sentient that he had not seen since the Rakghouls on Taris.

I didn't answer. I couldn't. My craving was keeping me at the man's neck, feeding off of him. When at last all of his blood was mine, I released him. I looked up at the creature from before. "Y....Yes......" I answered, my voice altered and inhuman. I wiped the blood from my mouth. My hunger was still not sated.
