I think we should put together some sort of event or campaign or something as like a group intro. So that people see and start to learn what this is.

Versus...having another convocation or another thread where people come together and talk about differences etc etc that eventually sizzles out.

I mean, the Mando attack on your temple might be a really good lead in to that? A lot of Jedi are coming out to help out, and a spin off of that could be something to look at. (I'm starting to consider the implications of that attack now, especially if Kaine/Vanessa Kidnap some Jedi like they're saying)

We absolutely could use this skirmish as a lead in for sure! Speaking of that, this temple doesn’t belong to Romi BUT Coren and I were thinking our lead in for this skirmish would be something along the lines of us surveying and checking out this location as a possible satellite facility to be re-opened under the JAC.

So this could work really well, the story points are already there.

Ohh, I love it, and that would also help with it not being a fully active temple, so therefore there wouldn't be younglings caught in the crossfire or anything

Plus the story rights itself.

The SJO have been considering going to war with the ME, even just one punch to show they can't just walks over hte JEdi, and this could owrk very well on that. I'm going to put up a discussion in the faction forums, but it might be a nice event for the JAC to work into the storyline too, expand on this and show hte Jedi won't let anyone just hit them?

There’s enough representation from SJO here (current/past members) where I think the JAC would be behind retaliating against the Mandos (everything permitting)

Yes! On the note of younglings — was totally aiming for the temple to be a scarcely populated structure with very few Jedi Masters, older/adults students, and sort of a place of recovery/rehab for soldiers from each group (was definitely gonna reference some injured from the Battle of Balmorra) so we should be clear of the youngling issue

Yeah this is good. Just a thought to throw out there as well, if rescue is needed, maybe the SJO could attack as the main part of the story, and have their point made to the Mandos, but also we could use it as a means to hide the true mission which could be given to the small faction who are there to rescue the Jedi. So the main attack is a ruse.

Something like that?

It is a way in which to give the small factions a greater play in the galaxy etc.

This might be an off-topic slightly but I was thinking that all Jedi victims of war/seeking refuge or something could be sent to Eira Pechal at the Jedi Praxeum.

Like a safe haven for Jedi. I always saw it like that, in a way. It's in the middle of nowhere far from any front line.

Kind me of reminds me of those secret Jedi locations to which Jedi would retreat should a catastrophe happen like Order 66.


More on-topic:

Kaine's raid has the goal of starting a SJO vs. UCM/ME war, that's obvious, yeah. I'd rather we see how it runs and how it ends before plotting further.

But definitely a perfect thread for a prelude to the Council's first thread which as Romi said is probably better not be a 'we sit on chairs and yabba yabba' cause those die fast.

I'd agree with Ember, this attack is aimed at the goal of sparking up conflict between the SJO and the ME, and yeah we shouldn't jump on anything before the thread is done. The thread is having the desired effect though.

And yeah, a council of doing things I do like the idea of Coci's that if we do end up with combat we can work things so that the the smaller/minor factions also get a chance to shine.

Really this attack would be unaffiliated with any major factions, so both of these ideas work. We chose H’ratth as a way to keep things free from factional ties and open to everyone — also to have the possibility of whatever happens afterward to be open too. I think people are just assuming its a UMC/ME v. SJO thing because of those involved.

So why not do both? We could have two aftermath threads to follow. Those seeking refuge at the Praxeum could be its own social-esque thread and then the rescue that Coci mentioned could be for the other group who prefer combat-esque threads.

I've been wanting todo something like that with Prax, [member="Ember Farseer"] just got bogged in other Jedi things. One thing I'd like to see is more things that focus on all Jedi while being sponsored, ish, by one or two of the established groups.
