Idea: Rebellion Faction!

So, with this newest addition of rules, it has gotten me really excited! Because right now, although we technically have enough members to become Major, I don't think we are involved enough just yet to REALLY achieve it.

Rebellions take much less members, and I noticed something interesting. A few of you are Mandalorian! You know why that's awesome? We can use as ambassadors to convince the Mandalorian government IC that we are all hunky dory and have a culture now similar to theirs, and that under the Red Legion we could act as protectors of Ziost!

Then two weeks later, we initiate our Rebellion, using the forces of Aken's Fleet and maybe a few of my allies, you who are my apprentices, and Carter's Fleet, we could take back Ziost!

From there, we could invade and take back Korriban, etc. etc.

Is it a more or less sound plan? Any additions? Dilemma's? Mile stones that I've missed that would be pivotal to our plot? Gimme all your thoughts

This sounds awesome bro. Im so karkin down. Even if we didnt obtain a single thing, the plot itself sounds like it could get epic.

Just thought of something, by being a Mando before starting the rebellion, would the faction still retain the free Beskar portion once shifted to Major?

Edit:
Nope. Tef has a thing for the Mando. Now im like we should definitely be their rebels, and take over Mandalore or Concordia first, that way when we turn Major wed have Sith who could smith Beskar. As well as the no need for the dev thread.

Ie, whole platoons made of beskar clad soldiers

lol, never going to work. Mando's are very protective of their Capital and its moon, I should know, I defended it every time it was invaded. They will take no shits on their precious capital, and we'd never convince them for us to guard anything that close to their capital.

Also their capital is protected from Rebellions anyway.

Not to mention Beskar platoons would immediately be shot down. I like the initiative though!

According to Tef, if we're members of the Mando for long enough, form the rebellion, and take Concordia, we get the same perks they do. So we need to take Concordia, and alongside that comes the urge to take over Mandalore.

Why not have our little rebellion start off small with a base planet, then another, then Concordia and from there invade invade invade. Before long we could take the whole space from them, and absorb the Mandalorians into our Sith Empire.

That's why I suggested a planet on the outskirts like Ziost, since we:
  • Have a legitimate reason as to why we would want to protect that world (to trick them), since it was historically owned by the Sith
  • Won't rile them too much when we take it
  • We get back at them for sacking Kaas by taking hold one of our three major homeworlds, and relinquishing their control over Kaas (by the Cloud Breaking Rule)
  • We won't be entirely surrounded by them, like we would be taking Concordia
  • We have rooms for Dominions, though are close enough to major factions to Invade whenever we want.
  • At Ziost, we are within striking distance of the Sith Council's Capital, should they start to become a problem.

To me, there are just oodles of strategic reasons why we should take Ziost, as well as IC ones. Sacrificing these strategic advantages for getting around dev threads when using Beskar just seems silly to me. Beskar is nice, but wouldn't you rather earn it by raiding the hell out of their homeworld repeatedly and boost our presence on the community until we become the warhorse we are meant to be? Of course, once we go major, there is nothing stopping you from organizing an Invasion on Concordia yourself, that's the advantage of this faction. You are all independent, and cooperative when you want to be.

Also keep in mind that if we lose we have to wait a full thirty days before we could attempt it again, so we want to choose a place they aren't going to fight over quite as much.

Lol no no, your plan follows my basic idea lol. We need a real planet we can hold firmly. The Concordia idea should be enacted during an invasion, or at the time when Mando defenseless. Thus we win it quickly, and as said can claim the rights to owning their strains. And yeah i wanna sack their capital, thats why i said we should seek to get Mandolore! I think we need to start the rebellion asap, cause then when the Mando are busy aiding in anothers invasion, we take it with minimal opposition.

My ideas are slightly driven by the urge for Beskar soldiers, but mainly i seek the Sith becoming a real powerhouse again. So, like you said, i can always write up the invasion some other time.

So far, I'm getting mixed reviews on whether or not the Mando's are going to be cooperative. I talked to a former leader (accidentally) and the current leader, and both would be willing to do it. However, the current leader is worried about the Field Marshal system in the Mandalorian OOC government who have in the past post Imperial Fall, that they were not going to help any Sith factions no matter who they were.

I've made them a compelling offer, such as turning myself in as the leader of the Empire when we nuked keldabe, handing over to them my Force Containment Collars (collars capable of negating any force users connection to the force for twenty four hours when successfully applied), and allowing them to over all punish us as they please so they can have the IC confidence that we are legit.

I have also offered that during our 14 day tenure of the faction, that any other rebellions that crop up, the League will offer assistance in destroying them, because we honestly don't want any other competition, so it works for us both. Also, Mando's are getting aggressive with the 'pubs, which is good for us too.

Hopefully within the next two or three days we'll be accepted by them, and then the fun begins!

Don't worry, I'll be actively working on all of your training threads. 'Specially Hunters, because he has the least training still.

If that is what you choose! If you would join the mandos if you haven't already as soon as possible that would be good. Once I've figured out who joined and when I can estimate when the rebellion begins. Also not sure if anyone noticed but we're being sent Myrkyr, I'm not sure if that is permanent or not, since it kinda puts us in an awkward position.
