Idea Time!

Don't know why I haven't shown up over here already, given that my character is half Hapan and daughter of the Queen Mother, but now seems as good a time as any. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone wanted to get the ball rolling story-wise for the Consortium. If you haven't noticed, the Republic is stirring with all sorts of difficulties in their government. Since the Hapes Consortium is very autonomous, despite being part of the Republic for a little over a year, I think it would be beneficial to the faction and logical ICly to back out and return to neutrality. Not to say that they would be enemies of the Republic, just that they would act independently and not take sides in the war between the Sith and Jedi.

If we were going to do something such as this though, we would need someone to run the Queen Mother as an actual player character to deal with politics and government. I would do it of course, but I wouldn't want to take the chance away from someone else that found the idea interesting and had the time to conceptualize and put their plan into action. What do you think?

*coughs something about Mandalorians using secret allies in their war against the Republic*

Interesting proposition. As a Jedi, helping the Mandalorians take down the Republic is not really on my bucket list, but I'm open to creating a new character for the faction. I still think it'd be a good idea to have a PC queen to handle affairs directly. What do you think [member="Persephone Callas"]?

Yeah, i've been working on that with the Mandos. And the sekret alias.

The thing about Hapans is that we are always constantly ambitious over everything. XD

They have political intrigue down to an art.

Affairs thus far have been handled either through the Senator, or the VC who was Hannah at some point.

It's pretty much grown to the point where the NPC Queen through roleplay has really had no input within the Republic Senate. She's the face of the Hapans, but like Queen Elizabeth, isn't really the power player right now.
