If You Type HoloNet Into The HoloNet

Cadan sat a small wooden desk overlooking his spice mines on Kessel. The pirate had risen quite a bit in the Hutt Cartel and had now secured his place as the spice king as he liked to call it. And now to further his conquest he had a plan to recruit an organization to create secure holonet servers so he and his smugglers could plan spice drops and trades.

Cadan quickly opened up a com link to his dock officer. "Tell me as soon as the contact arrives." The pirate spoke in a calm tone, this was going to be a good day for him, he could feel it in the solar winds. He might even be able to get a new customer.

“You’ve been granted permission to land.”

The metallic voice of the radio operator was heard saying as Jennifer’s fossil of a ship furiously began to descend through the atmosphere of Kessel. The hull of the YT-2400 freighter creaked, only barely not igniting into a ball of vivid flames and plasma with the help from the outdated shield generators.

Soon the landing gear touched the landing platform and with hissing sounds of compressed gas, the ships breathing became slower and more controllable as the hot gasses from the engines were ventilated into the thin and cold midnight air of the planet. Silence pursued and for a while, it would seem as if no one had landed the ship, eventually however the silence was broken and once the creaking cargo ramp was touching the ground, a shape around the 1.6 meters tall would appear from within. The girl, her face a tad paler than most would survey her immediate surroundings, her eyes of amber color. White hair could seen hanging from out under a dark beanie on top of her head. She adjusted a transparent breathing mask that donned the bottom of her face as she slowly made her way down the ramp.

Despite seemingly being the only life form onboard the old YT-2400 she was closely followed by three tall humanoid like guards, their movements fast and heavy. On closer inspection, they would turn out to be DD-S1 droids, a class once manufactured for the protection of the grand dragon palace of the Red Ravens. However, that was reality of the past.

She opened the fine black leather jacket she was wearing as she stood in front of the door to the chamber she had been given directions to by the guards of the facility, a white shirt seen under, and now all she had to do, was press the door bell.

*Ring*

"Cadan, we got ourselves a ship entering our space." A pirate said as he made his way into Cadan's office. "A karking old ship as well."

Cadan watched as the YT-2400 appear in the atmosphere, from where he was it was but a speck in the sky. With a nod, the pirate gave [member="Jen"] permission to land. Cadan watched from his small, dusty window as the YT began it's landing cycle. Such an old beauty. The ship of course...

But then again, another beauty popped their head out of the ship. Although this one wasn't old.

Cadan made his way down to the landing pad, just as the door bell rang. The pirate turned drug lord, pulled the door towards him. Cadan stood at 1.8 meters, he was a man that looked as though he was desperately clinging to his prime, but he knew it was slipping away.

"Welcome to Kessel." Cadan said, his large, red eyes scanning over the series of droids all around Jen. The pirate didn't blame her for being cautious, after all Cadan had tried to capture her at one stage.

"Please come in, and make yourself at home." Cadan began to lead Jen towards a large room, while he was answering the door the slaves and workers had prepared a series of meals provided by the Huttese chef, Jemba. The meals had been laid out on the table in the center of the room.

(I haven't lost interest at all. Now it's my turn to say sorry about my late reply, as you know I have been moving house!)

As the large door was pulled open, Jen was seen finishing lighting up a cigarette, cyan smoke hovering from the orange glowing tip of the roll as she put the lighter back into her pocket, her eyes focusing on the cigarette between her fingers for a second as she seemingly took no note of the responder by the door.

As Cadan greeted her, his voice familiar even after all this time, she looked up, her expression relaxed, casual, little emotion shown on the face of hers as she nonchalantly replied, glancing over him before replying: “I see the coat looks the same.” She said, her voice familiar with its melodious ring, yet somewhat muffled by the transparent breather mask that covered her face.

As they stepped over the door threshold, she slowly removed the mask, counting on the fact that the room was air sealed from the general atmosphere of Kessel, allowing her to take a puff from her lit cigarette as she looked about the room.

“Huh, fancy.” She muttered, mostly at herself as she followed Cadan further into the room, the droid trio still keeping her exact speed, being somewhat fancy themselves with their gold and perfect black painted surfaces shining in the lights of the room as they, and Jen, came to a stop close to the table. “I see you have risen a bit on the social ladder, Cadan.” Jennifer noted upon finishing up taking a look at the room, a slight grin forming on her features, her voice somewhat joking as she looked up towards the light blue Duros to gauge his reaction. Perhaps, it wouldn't be a waste of time coming here after all.

Cadan looked down and brushed a few specks of dust and possibly spice from his coat. No matter how careful you were, some always managed to get away. "Wouldn't 'ave it any other way." This wasn't exactly the reaction Cadan was expecting, he wasn't expecting fear, he was expecting hate. Except it was nothing of the kind.

Once they reached the room and table, Cadan went straight to the whiskey and poured himself and Jen a glass. Cadan didn't know where the drink had come form, it was an old drink he had saved from one of his pirating raids in his past.

Cadan sipped down the whiskey, felling it heat his body. "And with me rise, so did my credits!" Cadan said a smile spreading across his face. Credits always made him smile.

Slaves began to stream into the room laying down various plates of foods. The smell was that of Jemba's delicious cooking... That the slaves had re-heated.

"So Jen? Can I call you that? I've got a task for you, and I will pay for you to do it." Cadan was hoping to strike a deal to help co-ordinate various spice deals and other shady deals for the Hutt Cartel.
