IG 99, the sentinel Droid didn't have an interesting history, he was brought at a market for 2000 credits, and than resold for 2500 credits, it spent its life as antique sold and collected for a long time, until being purchased by Mella on his way to a meeting, it wasn't expensive module it was out dated and lacked the the latter modules skills equipment and sophisticated, it received some cleaning and repair and was eventually put into service under the Hutt.
