- Focus. The crystal was corrupted then imbued with the Dark side of the Force. When Ignus focuses on its presence within his lightsaber a dark presence envelopes him. When drawing on the crystal one will find themselves refreshed, more in tune with their emotions, and with greater concentration over use of the force while their focus remains.
- Bonded. Only Imura or those he allows are capable of igniting his lightsaber.
- Corrupted. The crystal is imbued with the Darkside of the Force. When drawing from it, the wielder of the lightsaber receives a noticeable buff in their strength.

- Lies. The more is drawn from the crystal the more noticeable the effects are. The crystal does not just give the wielder more strength. Instead it simply allows them to ignore their own limits. If they don't know this... or if they aren't careful and lose themselves in the thrill? They will be slowly wrecking their own body while fighting past their limits.
- Darkside. Made by the Darkside, the Lightside can turn it back to its natural balance in the Light. This would remove all of the effects and make it a natural, white crystal.
Every once in a while the Sith Empire has a request for Cerbera.
Sometimes she accepts, sometimes she declines.
But as the usual envoy is one [member="Darth Ophidia"], the Sith Alchemist is usually inclined to consider their proposals. This time around there was a need to reward a particular Sith within the Empire. Why? Services to the Dark Lord and his Empire, Cerbera did not bother to ask further than that. They wished her to create a lightsaber crystal, something that would strengthen their warrior and make them more effective in battle.
Cerbera smiled. Cerbera accepted.
This crystal was the result of it. A corrupted, broken Kyber crystal imbued with the Darkside of the Force and keyed with some of Imura's blood.
This ensured it could do two things: increase his strength (with the usual Cerberian twist) and ensure nobody else could use it against him.
What more could be asked of a simple alchemist?
